Yikes! Leo thought about jumping back, and he realized that his back was to an ally, if he dodged then he'd get hit. So instead, he ducked low, and brought his fists up to the dragon's jaw. It probably wouldn't hurt, but it would knock his head up and away from the crowd of people, and Leo.
Leo then noticed Nia, she was doing something. Chanting...and gathering...light? That couldn't possibly be anything good. The whole area was a war zone though, there was no way anyone could get through. Anyone except Leo. He could make the turns, the dodges and get to the statge, but what could he do once he got there?
He needed to do three things. One, shut her up. Two, break her concentration. And three do something she couldn't predict. If the little he heard on fae life spans was true, she probably had a few centuries on him. So what could he possibly do she wouldn't see coming?
And then a grin split his face as a lightbulb went on in his brain.
"Be right back!" Leo said to his opponent, zipping through the crowds. Nobody could hope to follow him, because it wasn't just speed. Being able to turn at insane angles at full speed was what made this possible. Quickly enough he was up to Nia, and closed the distance to her quickly.
Ok, let's see you counter this
And as she was focusing on whatever it is she was doing he ran to her and pressed his lips to hers.
Not even a century of living could allow her to predict this, and it would shut her up at the very least. Maybe it would distract her too, you never know.

"Kiri... don't.. Kiri... KIRI NO!" Aaron watched his little Fae friend go down in sheer horror, mouth hanging open at the man that she trusted. A million and one things ran through his mind, but as soon as he was abot to try and blind the man, a trio of animals started to attack him.
Star rushed to pick Kiri up, getting bitten in the process, and hissed at several times. Star looked at the man, then just to spite him he reached out to his light friends.

Not now!
Aaron told them what to do, then started to fly off just as two extremely bright points of light flew towards the man's eyes.

Karmine looked at Scythe with a smile.
"Well if she out numbers you, why not get some allies of your own? Couldn't be a better time to wipe the floor with her then now. Hell, your the only thing keeping me away from her. You can fight me, and if ya win go back to serving her, or ya can fight her, and if ya win be free to do what you want."
He flew to the sky and dove at Scythe, aiming a slash towards his arms, cut off the power first.
"It's your choice."

What had just happened to that woman's skin? Eve moved her head enough for the fist to graze her cheek. Cursing she spun her hand going to her face. She had underestimated these people, and let her guard down. It wouldn't happened again.
"Oh, now it's on!" Fist rocketing toward the area where the agent's solar plexis lay. Eve grinned figuring if she hit hard enough the air would go bye bye and the agent just might vomit. Both would be advantagous for the war dragon. That is if she actually landed the punch. The other hand swung for the face.
Her eyes flicked to check on Leo but couldn't pay much attention. She had her own problems to worry about. Though her problems felt a lot more fun than his looked.

A roar echoed through the halls of the school, soon to be followed by a massive russet lycan. The wolf snarled, and leaped into the Antechamber, doubtless with at least one more lycan behind her. The huge furred limbs would slam into the unsuspecting back of the woman facing Eve.
Raelena St. John had answered her cell phone.
The lycan lolled its tongue at Eve, giving the dragoness a quick lick. Then, it slapped at the poor Agent again.
Eryk, ye hear me lad? Work on clearin' a hole. We need tae get a few folks oot o' here afore thin's go from bad tae worse.
Rae whirled, growling, back hair bristling, daring anyone to get close to her.
You didn't become an alpha wolf simply with looks and charisma.

Animals? Casey had to fight animals? Not even ugly animals. Well, the snake was kind of ugly. And maybe the rats. But the duck, the ferret, the mice, and the turtle...
why was a turtle attacking him?
And who had trained the d**m duck to fight?
Casey fell backwards, flailing at the duck that tore at his face. The creature was, well, fierce. Someone had clearly taken the time to train a duck in the ways of combat.
Fortunately for Casey, he was healing as fast as they wounded him. Which just meant he hurt a lot. he gasped and kicked out, aiming for the turtle. Despite his best efforts, he couldn't land a hit on the duck.
The lights were unexpected, and caught Casey by surprise. The Agent yelled as he was momentarily blinded, something the duck would doubtless take advantage of.

Twiddle was clearly doing the best in this battle. The daring, deadly duck dove and pecked at the man. His mighty webbed feet clawed at the man, and he quacked the mighty war cry of his people. For he was Twiddle, and he was mighty.
Twitch (Flyff) skittered around the other animals, darting among the melee. He barely dodged the incoming turtle, and nearly lost his footing on the floor. Finally he darted over to the Faerie boy. Once there, he tugged at the boy's sleeve, then jerked his head toward the unconscious Kiri. The message was clear: "let's get the hell outta Dodge."
Jolt, well, Jolt got knocked over on his back and slid into a couple of mice. And turtles aren't renowned for their amazing ability to right themselves once they're in that situation. So Jolt's stubby arms waved in the air for a while, before the turtle just gave up, sucking them into his body.
Hard to say which animal is the smartest, really.

The man before him was offering to aid him in being rid of the chains that bind him. Normally the war dragon did not take help from anyone. He let out a deep chested noise that sounds like gravel grinding against metal. His hand shifted to that of a dragon's his body starting to change slowly. Now he didn't want to shift completely but it was damned hard to shift one body part. Hand, apendage, limb. He did this to pull off one thing. Grab the sword. Unless the man moved it in time.
"You vill help me free mine chains?" His eyes narrowed judging the man. If the man would free him from this boundage then why kill him. He could always do it later. Use the tools you have and when they are no longer useful. Get rid of them. Trash, toss, dispose. Scales covers most of his arm and it shook slightly with the effort to keep it in dragon form. The rest of his body was having problems staying in human form. It was either shift or not this inbetweenness took a lot of will. The dragon waited knowing one answer might mean freedom while the other would just mean the fight would continue.

The silver dragon's head jerked up, and he nearly bit his tongue. Unlike most of his brethren, he wasn't an awe-inspiring fighter. However, he was a slick customer, and he knew what he was doing. He saw his opponent slide through the crowds, and knew he wouldn't be able to stop him. However, he could warn his boss.
"Nia! There's a speedster heading your way!" yelled the dragon, before turning just in time to dodge a flying Agent. The large russet lycan momentarily froze the silver dragon, and he began to wonder if maybe he should consider a career change.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The bio-crystallized opponent of Eve had been expecting a dragon. Despite Eve's confidence, the dragon didn't have enough power to break through the Agent's powerful Gifted barrier. Instead, Eve was bound to have sore hands.
The force did knock the tough Agent back a few steps, and she grunted in surprise at being moved. Eve's fist connected with the Agent's face, which just irritated her and slightly disoriented her...
Enough so that she went flying when Rae collided with her, nearly hitting her silver dragon companion. she hissed as she tried to regain her footing, but found that she really didn't want to face a couple of lycans. Particularly not the russet one, because if memory served, that was Raelena St. John, and she was an alpha...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
The room was beginning to fill with Agents. Some were actually concerned with the students and faculty who weren't actively fighting. Those brave men, women, and whatevers began escorting out, directly people away from the violence with calls and shouts. A handful of bulky dragons had formed a wall. They were forest dragons, and not likely to be moved soon.
Among them was the Healer Trixie. She looked around, certainly not liking what she was seeing. Especially what Nia was doing. Unlike most there, she recognized that. She also knew what would happen if someone startled Nia.
"No!" she screamed, flailing her arms. "Don't--!"
But Leo did.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Nia had been talking to the sunlight, gathering it into a condensed ball. The idea would be to unleash the force in a controlled shockwave, the power of which should end the fight relatively soon. In fact, it would most likely stun everyone in the room. Except, of course, it's controller.
But it took a lot of concentration to hold in place. Even with her subordinate's warning, Nia hadn't quite expected Leo's... tactic. So she momentarily lost control.
Brilliant sunlight streaked throughout the room, burning holes through the walls and through people. Screams erupted from students and Agents as the powerful rays cooked them alive. But the initial blast would occur right near the source.
Right on Nia and Leo.
A brilliant flash erupted from Nia, blowing her backwards, slamming her body into the wall. Even Leo wouldn't be able to dodge something this powerful that close. At best he could hope to not be burned alive by the sheer power of the pent-up energy.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Trixie cried as the rays cooked students and Agents. She saw one ray lance through a little girl's arm. The healer cried in alarm, forcing her way through the crowd as she began to heal the girl...
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
The silver dragon could handle sunlight. It burned at his skins, but the metallic surface deflected the brunt of it. This left him as one of those still standing.
"ENOUGH!" he roared, his body rippling. Soon, an impressive silver dragon curled in the middle of the floor. It looked Chinese in origin, with small arms, wonderful whiskers, and a dark silver mane. As soon as its serpentine body fully formed, silver gas began leaking from it. In small doses, the gas would heal, yes. But this intense could very well overwhelm the body. Besides...
"Start the sleeping gas! We're done fighting!" ordered the dragon, turning to the Agents forming a shield.
A hissing sound was heard...

Eryk leaped into the room right after Rae and was met with one of the most chaotic scenes ever to play before his mind. Just as the disrupted spell went off his eyes went wide. That cannot be good. He whined gasping as one of those stray rays cut through his hind flank. Sh*t the f*cking hurt! His hind collasped a bit but he did his best to shake off the intense burning in his thigh.
His eyes went to the silver dragon not entirely sure he could take on such a foe. The smaller grey wolf made his way to his alpha's side not really knowing what to do. Um, Rae? What the hell are we supposed to be doing?

Post by Ϛ Cylo on Jan 20, 2009 23:57:55 GMT -5
That Agent's spines didn't look particularly like something you would want to hit with your bare hands, demon or not. Cylo didn't think that he could even do any damage to the guy when he was like that, even if he sucked it up and took the pain. It was times like this he regretted not fighting with anything bigger than his butterfly knife. A kid with a sword or axe might be useful here, but there really wasn't much he could do.
So, he gave up.
On Muscley anyway. He had such a speed advantage by that time that he could avoid the big one entirely and focus on evening the odds. So, skirting around Spike as he worked, he knocked out and drained a few more Agents of their energy, noting with apprehension that he had once again been abandoned. He didn't even have time to acknowledge Leo before he was gone again.
And then s**t got real.
Cylo hadn't killed a single person yet in this fight. Regardless of who he was fighting for or against, killing simply wasn't 'him'. But by making the Agents around him as slow as snails when the sun-bomb went off, he could easily have made a murderer of himself. Not good. Luckily for him, the fuss before the explosion had caught his attention, so he had a very small window of opportunity.
Acting quickly (very quickly), he knocked the remaining two Agents to the floor and ran at the human pincushion, positioning himself between the blast and the beast, one arm held up, and the other behind his back. The heat wave hit him like a truck, but he didn't budge, not even when his clothes burned off and his skin began to melt and peel, exposing the red-gold 'blood' that was his inner legion. And he made no noise but a small, pained grunt when a more concentrated lance of light burned his last two fingers of his left hand off.
If he'd been running low on energy for his legion, he would have died. Luckily, he'd just drained a few people of most of their energy, and so even as he fell to the floor in exhaustion, he began to heal at a rapid pace. He wouldn't have been able to cover all of the Agent's considerable bulk, but at the very least he would assure the guy wasn't cooked.
As he lay nearly unconscious on his stomach, he struggled to reach behind his back with the remaining fingers of his left hand, feeling the wrist of the hand he'd kept behind his back the whole time. His index finger brushed the red, black, and silver bracelet there, and upon assuring it was intact, he let out a ragged breath and passed out, unaware and uncaring of what the future would hold.

Post by Kirien Melantha on Jan 21, 2009 1:54:39 GMT -5
Kirien was standing with the rest of House Almasy when Nia began making her announcement. She frowned and knitted her brows together, finding the Agent's outlook on the situation suspicious...but that was all the action she took. None of the students who were kidnapped mattered to her. Why would they? Everyone she cared about was safe, and as far as she was concerned, kidnap-proof.
She didn't expect the entire antechamber to fall into chaos. Kiri was yelling, and Kennedy was yelling, and Karmine was yelling. When Nia sent her subordinates after Karmine, she immediately moved forward to assist.
But such a task would not come so easily. Kirien was strong, but she was also tiny, and the crowd swept her far from her destination. Almasians and Cavanites jumping into the fray had little concern for the petite redhead, whom they pushed and shoved as they trampled past. Edengrowthers were flocking towards the exits, and Wingroses flailed about in a panic. By the time she got halfway to where Karmine was, he'd already left the area with a threatening-looking Agent in persuit.
Swearing loudly in frustration, she bounced around on her tippy-toes, trying to get a better view of what was going on further ahead. There was a shock of red and white...
Cylo!
She headed toward her friend as fast as she possibly could among swarming students...which wasn't very fast.
"Get out of my way!" The demon roared at the top her lungs, and promptly socked an unfortunate Edengrowther in the face. She thrust a silver handaxe up over her head, waving it threateningly at everyone she neared. Crowd control wasn't much of a problem anymore; people got the heck out of her way as soon as they saw her coming.
She paid no attention to Nia until a burst of light seared through a Cavanite who stood just to the left of her. Heart pounding, she stared in shock at the smoking remains of the boy next to her. A second later, and that could have been her cooking all over the floor. Shaking, she turned back to her path.
"Cylo!" She lost sight of him, and now the antechamber smelt of burning flesh. "Cylo!" She didn't think that she was giving away his name, or her location, or that she could possibly distract him in battle. She was just thinking, where did he go? Is he okay?
Kirien let out an anguished cry as she came upon the beaten form that was Cylo. She dropped her handaxe onto the floor with a sharp clang and fell to his side. She cradled his good hand in hers and kissed the palm, maybe because he wasn't watching, maybe because he was in terrible condition. Maybe cause she just wanted to.
Work, work, work! With her hands on his, she was hoping he would absorb some of her legion and heal faster. She was watching him desperately for any sign of improvement.
Her shoulders rise and fell suddenly; her body looked like it was convulsing. Her eyes were deep red and wide open, and her lips were twisted in a wicked smile.
Her eyes found Nia. The cause of her friend's pain.
Mine.

Leogare Lasteulf had done dumb things in his life. He'd committed crimes, beaten people down for messing with his buddies, and even been involved in the slaying of a mother and her child.
It was today that his reckless sense of self preservation and love of a fight may have worked part of that off...or just added to it.
He was fast, and he should have been expecting it, but when you are lip locked with a psycho holding an exploding bomb, it can be hard to dodge.
Being carried by a beam of light Leo flew through the air, arcing over heads roughly 15 feet into the air, he then descended and slammed into the ground, cracking the back of his skull into the ground. His body was on fire, it screamed to him and he could barely hear it. Of course he couldn't move his head to see, but he was a mess. The front of his body was scorched, he had several holes in his arms and legs, and a few in his chest. Of course they didn't bleed, the laser light had cauterized the wounds. He felt himself slipping, and looked up at where he was, seeing one very familiar sight.
A red haired girl with a silver hand axe.
"Mother...****er..."
Thud.

Karmine was about to respond to Scythe when light blasted out of the Antechamber.
She didn't...he didn't have time to waste having fun, this was bad. REALLY bad. If she'd used something of that magnitude in there...half the room could be dead by now. Didn't she care at all who she hurt?
Not bothering to collect his sword from Scythe he dropped it and flew off towards the school again.
"You've got a deal!" He shouted. He was inside the Antechamber quickly, and saw what was happening.
The hissing of gas, couldn't be helpful. God he wished Riana was here, she was much better at this sort of manipulation then he was.
He flew into the air and focused. This wasn't going to be easy.
[blue]I dun wanna....[/blue]
Well today we have to, just this one them I'm done, promise.
[blue]ooookayyy.[/blue]
And Karmine created a shield of air around Kennedy, and the people by him. From here it looked like Rae and a few of her pack, Kirien, Cylo, some charred psychopath, and Eve. As well as Kennedy, but he was out already.
"Come on kids! We're not here to fight a war, we have more important things to do!" He shouted, the entire hall could hear his voice, thanks to the wind.
He aimed to look towards Nia, but found her not in the best shape to talk, weak fae bodies were one hell of a curse. Instead he turned towards the silver dragon.
"Protect the people eh? Funny, that is what we are trying to do. Were you just gonna up and leave kids kidnapped cause it ain't important enough for you? Throw money at the families and smooth it over. Well it ain't gonna happen, I'll do it myself if I have to."
He looked to those assembled. "Apparently I don't have to. Tell your boss when she gets back to her senses that we'll do what she can't. Oh yeah, and her pet dragon quit."
He then descended into the shield. It was time to get out of here.

Someone as tough as Kennedy wouldn't stay knocked out forever. In fact, he was beginning to come around just as the antechamber exploded in light. due to the shift and the melee, Kennedy's Gifts shifted, and he knew he didn't have the dangerous one anymore.
He wasn't sure what he had, but he wasn't exploding or unleashing holy hell, so it had to be good.
Groaning, he levered himself to a partially upright position.
And stared at a werewolf's a**.
"What the..." he muttered, blinking. He reached to tentatively touch the back of his head, and winced as his fingertips graced a large bump there. He slowly looked around, recognizing many of the faces there, and noticing a strange shield around them.
"Rae... Karmine... what the...." Kennedy shook his head, wobbling to his feet. Quick inventory of Gifts...
Okay, slower inventory of Gifts: Kennedy's head still throbbed. "Need to get out...?'
