Proposal: I think maybe it would be a good idea to cap most, if not all, of the powers after one to two people have them, instead of just a select few.
Upsides: This would keep things from getting too dull or repetitive, and encourage people to be creative and think of new Gifts for their characters. It would put a lot more emphasis on the 'unique' aspect of the mutations/whatever that the artifact created.
Downsides: Could possibly run out of Gifts pretty quick.
Other suggestions: If we end up with an explosion of members and not enough Gifts, we could increase the limit to three or more, depending.

If we get more members, I'll open up more Gifts. It's already disconcerting that some Gifts aren't being selected at all, while we have three of others.

Ah, well then, that confirms that it's a good idea XD
What gifts do we have three people in, though?

What gifts do we have three people in, though? Adoptive Muscle Memory (Morgan, Delia, Bishop) Shapeshifting (Neilen, Casey, Sunny)

Ha, I need to pay more attention! I thought Morgan was the only one for Adoptive Muscle Memory! XD
And I knew Sunny was shapeshifter, but I forgot

The Cavan house doesn't have an animal yet, right? If not, it should be a bear. I don't know why, but a bear seems right.

The Cavan house doesn't have an animal yet, right? If not, it should be a bear. I don't know why, but a bear seems right. I was having trouble figuring out what to make them. Partly because the Chinese Zodiac failed me (the representation of brave is a dragon, and that's just a whole mess of awkward). Honestly I could more see Wingrose being a bear for a rep, if it wasn't that I really want them to have a bird (and if anyone can suggest a better bird and come up with an appropriate picture go for it). I could see a bear for Cavan though. Do we have any other suggestions? (I'll take suggestions for the other houses too, though I'm really fond of Edengrowth's and Almasy's [besides, why wouldn't you want your rep to be a tiger?])

You were going by the Chinese Zodiac ? Cool !
Maybe officially a White Tiger for Almasy ? I can see Mary chick having one as a pet.
*also, have you looked into Dogs for Cavan ? Maybe a breed of Wolf ?

I did research light for various animals and what they represent . The tiger represents pride according to the Chinese Zodiac. The elephant is a longstanding symbol of wisdom, especially in Hinduism and other Easter faiths. I picked the Hawk because I couldn't recall loyal birds immediately (do we now see why I wanted suggestions there?)

Mermaids? Centuars?
What are we going to say to the odd person who wants to roleplay as some sort of magical talking animal?
