Locke watched her attack her soup, and similarly attacked him own. The warm liquid moving down his throat was soothing, and delicious as well. When Kiri went to get up though, Locke moved to stop her. She was up before he could move though, and stood there as if she was dazed. "No need Kiri. There's a thermos on the table." He said, gesturing to the small cylinder. "There's enough for two bowls more in here." That should be enough for right now. Eating too much might make them sick with all the excitement of today.
"No need to move about too much." He opened the thermos, so the smell wafted into the room again. "Let's just stay here for a little bit." He felt himself starting to drift off, but he wasn't going to yet. Not until she was relaxed and ready to sleep. He didn't lie, he would watch over her. A yawn escaped his lips, and a small chuckle. "I guess it's an early night for us both. I'm...uh...um...." How did you even say this? How could he say it?
"I'm...going to stay with you tonight, if you don't mind." He mumbled out.

Blinking groggily she turned and stared at the thermos. How had she missed that? Had someone told her about it? She stood staring at the thermos completely thrown off by its very existence. Finally her brain came to terms with it and she plopped back down on the couch. Back to staring at the thermos she slowly brought her attention to Locke. He was saying something, what was he saying?
Figuring she might understand him better if she were facing him she shifted to stare at him. She closed her eyes and smiled at him practically hugging the empty bowl of soup. "Yep, yep, yep." Wait, what was she agreeing to? Oh, this was not at all good. It shouldn't be that hard to concentrate.
Kiri leaned back into the couch frowning at her empty bowl. "My brain feels funny." The words were mumbled to herself then she glanced over at Locke again at his last statement. Her expression softened and her eyes took on a dreamy look as she gazed at him. He was so kind and caring staying with her like this. She had found the best boy friend in the world.
After staring for a moment she got the thermos and poured herself another bowl of soup. Then she held the thermos out to Locke. "Want more?" Leaning over a bit she motioned that she would pour the soup for him.
Once the soup situation was handled she leaned back and sipped at her bowl. It went a little slower than the first but it was still gone in record speed. She set the bowl on the table eyes drooping even more now that her tummy was full. Flopping backwards she pulled the blanket up to her chin and she fell sideways. It was more certainly time for sleep.

She had agreed? But she seemed not aware of what she was saying, and more then a little delusional. She offered him the soup, but he shook his head. "No thanks, I'm good for now." He said, watching her drink it happily. She looked much better then she was before, but maybe that was because she was far too tired to actually think.
When Kiri lay back on the couch without another word, Locke gulped to himself. He knew it was not inappropriate, and he shouldn't sleep sitting up, that wasn't healthy. It only made sense, just a logical choice. So why was he so nervous about it?
Biting back his nerves he lay down on the couch as well, almost sleeping face to face with Kiri. The couch was large enough so they weren't on top of each other, due both to the couch itself and how tiny Kiri was, but it still felt quite awkward to be this close to her as she slept.
Before he could formulate any other thoughts about it, he felt sleep starting to steal him away. And as his eyes drifted closed, his body and mind finally achieved the rest so desired as one of his arms subconsciously found it's way around Kiri.
