He was so cute! She giggled as he took her hand this was like some romance story that teen girls read. It couldn't possibly be her life. This was some sort of dream, or hallucination that she was having in her fit of unhappiness upstairs. But no, his hand was warm in hers and she could still feel his lips pressed against her tingling ones.
"I don't feel much like a walk anymore either. I'm lucky to be standing right now." Smiling like a love struck fae that she was she started her feet going toward the lake. "Special, amazing, wonderful." Her voice trailed off as these discriptive words came to mind. It was all that and more, some sort of fairy tale.
"As long as I'm with you I don't care what we do. I'd be happy sitting in a library, or a cave." As long as the cave was well lighted, she didn't much like the dark. But with his hand in hers maybe she wouldn't mind it too much. When she thought she had no energy she suddenly felt like dancing, flying or jumping for how happy she was. Course she had more energy than any normal person should ever have.
If only she was strong enough to have him fly with her. Instead she let her heart sore into the clouds walking at his side. She felt like she'd never have to be sad or lonely again, and it was all because of him.

They arrived at the lake quickly enough, and Locke sat down at the waters edge, gesturing to Kiri to sit down next to him. He stared out over the smooth, calm, ever changing waters.
"This is one of my favorite places to go outside." He said. "It's just so tranquil here, plus I've always liked water since I was a kid. No matter how worked up I am, I just stare out over the water and it helps me to think, to get my thoughts in order. This is a special place for me, this lake."
He stared out over the water, thinking about what had lead him to this place today. And visions played back into his mind, visions from that afternoon.
Crying Kiri, her face contorted in tears, her fake smiles, her breakdown. Her eyes when he said he liked her, so full of hope. Her smile when they left the dorm, so real and happy. Her confusion about how other people could treat him badly, and her anger at being exposed to it. And then...the kiss. The moment that mattered most of all...
No.
A kiss was just a physical act, weren't the emotional actions more important? The feelings behind the kiss, the actions leading to it? Yes, the kiss itself was merely the culmination of the entire afternoon, on it's own it was nothing.
It was the afternoon that had been special. And everything had seemed to fall into place so easily. Locke didn't realize it, but he had started humming happily by the waters edge.

(ooc. so techinically we should've moved this thread like...twice by now....^.^ )
It threw Kiri off for him to pick water to be his favorite thinking place, but that was just her being sterotypical because of his cat ears. She sat next to him searching out his hand again. She stared out over the water as well letting the stillness between them stay. The day was so full already almost to bursting point and it wasn't even halfway over with.
"I like outside period, so whenever you, you know don't mind maybe we can go here together?" Kiri asked softly leaned her head over to lay it on his shoulder. Before the kiss she might have been more hesitant to do anything of phsyical contact with him beyond hand holding. But now that the Kiss was overwith she just felt so much more relaxed.
Hehe my first kiss! I'll never be able to forget this. Never forget him.
Kiri kicked off her flats and set them beside her digging her toes into the grass. Though as usual when she stepped outside animals started showing up. They didn't approach her yet because they didn't know Locke. But birds landed about ten feet away, rabbits munched happily on clovers about twenty feet away, and she spotted a few deer just at the edge of the forest. All her friends had come to see her happy.
"Look, they've come to welcome you." She giggled a bit pointing at the various animals. The animals didn't seem to disturbed by him probably because she was so close to him and smiling. A doe curled her legs under her with her fawn watching Kiri with soft eyes. This was her family and he was important to her so it only made sense to introduce the two parts of her life. One was love out of friendship and a feeling like a family, the other was love of the romantic sort that promised kisses and whispers of love.
Sighing contentedly she stared out over the water with him.

Kirk lay her head on his shoulder, and by reaction he dropped her hand and wrapped his arm about her, letting it rest on her shoulder. Merely staring out over the water.
"Yes. I'd like that Kiri." Locke said simply, glancing at her with a smile. He too had noticed all the animals approaching, and recalled her gift. He smiled at what she said.
"So they are saying hello eh? I wonder if they'll be the first group to take me in more because of my little additions." He wondered with a chuckle. "Well, I'm not too good with animals myself, so I guess I'll just leave them to you and enjoy the scenery." He said, continuing his gaze over the water.
"Now this is a day I wish would never end."

She didn't like him degrading himself just because of his ears. Just because he had cat ears didn't mean they'd instantly love him, she'd seen animals react very badly around werewolves which was more their kind than Locke was. Snuggling into him she winked at the animals who stayed their distance.
"Just because you have cat ears doesn't make you an animal, Locke. And I don't like you saying you are." Kiri mumbled unhappily slipping her now free hand around him.
She agreed with him though, it was certainly a day that she wished would never end. But maybe better days awaited them. Days without the tears at the beginning, without the cruel words in the middle. A day where only smiles awaited them. That kind of day she held out for. A day where she didn't feel one ounce of sandess, and she was sure she'd find it with him at her side.
"Yeah, it's so close to perfect it's almost scary." But this day would end all too quickly, and then what? What did the next day hold for them? It was a mystery and it both excited her and scared her. Now she had something to lose in this world, and she would do anything to keep him.

"Then I won't anymore, I'll just be your Locke." He said squeezing her shoulder with his hand. "As long as you'll be my Kiri. Deal?"
He didn't even wait for an answer to continue his look over the lake. "It'll only get better from here, I know that."
