Eve yawned loudly, the noise filling the vacant dorm room as she flipped the page in her book, bright green eyes struggling to stay open as she scanned the words before her. The Italian was trying her damnedest to read One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, even though she already had a hundred times, purely because she needed something to keep her from dozing off. She had spent last night, stupidly enough, drinking with Eiji and Draco, which was a scenario that ended in Draco parading around the penthouse in a cowboy hat while Eiji and Eve belted a dazzling rendition of 'God Save the Queen.' For all it's fun, Eve was cursing the evening as she was now suffering from a terrible case of exhaustion and she really just wanted to sleep until her head felt smaller, but she continued to read on, narrowing her eyes at the page before her as if it was somehow Ken Kesey's fault that she was too tired to properly nag her boyfriend.
The pretty Italian was indeed in the boy's dorms, and sprawled out on Kaylen's bed, instead of her own. She had hardly seen the boy all week and after Eiji's insentient pestering, she had decided to drop in and visit the boy because there was still a part of her, however small, that was terribly scared that things would end up like last time, and she was very sure that drifting apart from Kaylen again would hurt her more than the most brutal fist fights.
She yawned again, the world darkening as she dozed off for a split second, only to be awoken by her book dropping loudly to the floor a second later. Scowling at nothing in particular, the brunette leaned forward to pick up the worn novel, which was translated into Italian because she had always read better in her first language, and set it on the edge of the bed. Eve debated the idea of napping for all of five seconds before giving in and crawling to the head of Kaylen's bed and grabbing a pillow, wrapping her arms around it as she kicked her shoes off, already curled into a ball and fast asleep as they hit the carpet.

Walking into the dormitory, this time without the PSP he had left with after meeting Morgan Caven in the library, came the dark haired, green eyed, gorgeous young man Eve had been waiting for. Dressed in his favourite black Adidas jacket, zipped up over a simple black shirt and dark blue jeans, he looked as casual and boyish as ever, oozing of natural charm. A grin instantly appeared on his lips as he noticed her asleep on his bed, and he thought to himself how adorable she looked, and what a shame it would be to wake her.
But of course, no matter how big a shame it was, he was still going to wake her.
"Eve!" The boy knelt down, kissing her gently on the forehead, surprised but very happy to find her here. As he drew away, he picked up the book she had been reading; he'd heard of it, but had never actually read it before, he really did need to start reading more books. Maybe he'd borrow this one? ...Or, maybe not, as he flicked to a random page to find that it was all written in Italian. He may have been of Italian heritage, but that didn't mean he understood more than a few simple words of the language.

Eve let out a noise that was somewhere between a whine and a very disgruntled 'oof' as Kaylen attempted to wake her. The Italian squeezed her eyes shut and buried her face into the pillow she had been snuggling with, looking like a sleepy child trying to avoid school. But after another minute, Eve grudgingly realized that there was no way she would be able to fall asleep - not when her head was pounding as if it was home to the St. Patricks day Parade - and she sat up, rubbing her eyes as if to try and banish the last traces of sleep from them.
"I'm hate Rum. And Eiji too." She grumbled, managing to look much more adorable than formidable as she ran a hand through her hair in an attempt to manage the dark chocolate tresses. The Italian finally turned her attention to Kaylen, her eyes brightening as soon as they found his and once again she realized just how much she had missed the boy.
"Hey handsome," and a smile bloomed on her lips just then as she reached out to take his hand so that she could tug him down onto the bed besides her. Dressed in girly black shorts and a dark green scoop-neck with long sleeves that she had found at the bottom of her dresser, Eve looked nothing less than her usual cute and comfortable self, and very much at home here in his dorm room with her scarf and Adidas' trainers discarded lazily the floor.
"Missed you."

"I understand Eiji, but what'd rum do?" he asked her with an impish grin, letting himself be pulled down beside her. Eve was always so cute after a night spent drinking. Not many people could pull off being gorgeous with a hangover, but she was definately one of those rare ones.
He leant forward, and kissed her softly on the lips, "I missed you too."
Kaylen still found the whole romance thing somewhat, well, terrifying. Absentmindedly running his tanned fingers through his dark brown hair, messing it up even more than it already was, he couldn't help but break the sweet little moment they'd almost had going on there.
He liked Eve, he really, really did. But love, and the fact that he was slowly falling in love with her, still scared him more than anything.
"What'd you get up to last night, anyway? Eiji said he was with you."

"Rum gave me a splitting headache." She murmured, still looking adorably tired as she leaned into his kiss, unable to keep her lips from curling upwards into a grin. "That Captain Morgan is a bastard." Slowly, her smile became a giggle as she buried her face in the crook of his neck, as if it was possible to hid from her own migraine. Somewhere in his lap, her hands found his and she laced their fingers together in an attempt to draw some warmth from him.
If Kaylen thought that romance made him nervous, well, it was probably nothing compared to Eve's trepidation. While they were together the thought rarely crossed her mind because of the fortunate way he always stilled her and her turbulent thoughts, but once they were apart, the anxiety usually seeped in, poisoning all the good thoughts he always left her with. Nothing scared Eve Melona like Kaylen and the subsequent fear of losing him.
"Uhm, last night," she raised her head, pulling a face as she tried to recall all the heinous details of last nights adventure, "I'm not entirely sure, but I do remember Draco in a cowboy hat, or a sombrero, and Eiji wanted to climb up on the roof for some reason, and oh, you could probably hear us signing 'God Save the Queen' from down the street, though I have no idea how that came about." She laughed once more, though the motion shook her body and caused her head to virtually split open again, sending waves of pain spiking through her senses as she reached up to rub her temples, looking pained.
"And we made waffles at about 4am, but that's really all I remember." Turning to her boyfriend with startling green eyes, the pretty Italian shrugged apologetically, finding herself a bit distraught for details and feeling the need to blame Eiji for it all as she leaned in and kissed the boy besides her, a slightly crookedly smile still ghosted onto her lips.

"You made waffles? Without me?"
He looked up at her with his big, dark lashed forest green eyes, and an adorable little frown, like his feelings had really been hurt by this fact. If anyone had mastered the puppy dog look, it was Kaylen. He squeezed Eve's hands gently, gave her a quick kiss on the cheek and jumped up off the bed. Flashing her a grin, and giving her a slight tug, meaning he wanted her to stand up as well, the boy announced, "Come on Eve, I'm taking you out to lunch!"
It had been far too long since the two had done something like this, and Kaylen didn't want to become one of those boyfriends who barely saw his girlfriend and never took her out anywhere. Besides, he'd heard there were some nice cafes and restaurants in the area, and they could explore their new surroundings while they were at it.
Looking down at his poor, obviously hungover girlfriend, a sympathetic smile crept onto his handsome features. "It'll make you feel better, I swear."

"Don't worry," and her smile was a mix of genuine humor and something much more sincere, "we saved you some." And the thought of the waffles Eiji had drunkenly stuffed into a Ziploc bad the night before made her laugh, and as Kaylen's offer met her ears, the giggle quickly melted into a quietly sweet smile.
"Alright, but I'm definitely going to need some bloody coffee." The Italian girl looked up at her boyfriend through a curtain of curls, that unassuming grin still firmly in place as she slipped off the bed and into her trainers. Eve grabbed her scarf off the ground and threw it lazily around her neck before slipping her hand back in Kaylen's and giving it a soft squeeze, feeling grateful.
"So, how's school been?" They started toward the door and she couldn't help but let the cliched curiosity slip out. She was interested, honestly and almost terribly so, though she just wished she didn't have to sound like an out-of-step grandmother in the process.

"Really? Yeah, Eiji probably knows I'd beat him up if he didn't!"
He clapped his right fist into his open left hand a few times, in a mock threatening gesture, though his amused smirk instantly gave him away. Kaylen couldn't beat up anyone, he was far too kind. Well, that wasn't entirely true. If someone ever touched Eve, or Eiji or any of his family, there was definitely a different side to the boy hidden deep down. It just hadn't ever been provoked before.
"I hate school," was his immediate reply to Eve's question, grinning mischievously like a naughty, well, school boy. "It's even more boring without any of you guys too! I don't know why I bother sometimes, I don't even know when I last attended a class..."
"You're so lucky," he added. "How's not being at school?"
