Brett and Jeffries arrived at the training center, slightly out of breath and slightly frustrated. The training center hall was huge, the main hall branching off into smaller halls tat branched off into rooms of some sort. Some rooms, such as the bullet slinging Advanced Cellular Regeneration and Bio- Crystallization rooms, needed special Tutor and Agent clearance to access.
Televisions lined the hall, each displaying a training room and it's current occupants. A few students milled about, but not many. Certain rooms were always more occupied than others;for instance, the Super Strength room always had a few people, but the Poison Emission room was usually devoid of life.
Brett looked around, looking for a likely looking candidate, and ended up picking someone at random, strolling over the person.
"Why, hello there. Me and my partner were wondering if you could help us. If you were to pick one student that you know to be considered for the 'Most Powerful Power' award, who would it be? The award is a new program to recognize special demonstrations of talent with their power, given to young people under 20."
Brett smiled his best smile, a cinnamon-mint smell playing on his breath.

Trouble magnet Morgan Cavan had picked that day to train. Not a surprise, really, as Morgan picked just about every day to train. Lately she'd been remembering more and more things lately, and schoolwork was getting easier and easier. Just the other day she surprised Jon by remembering a complex formula exactly.
Which lead her to believe her Gift was changing.
So Morgan had been trying to figure out how exactly you trained a memory Gift, besides maybe doing several memory puzzles. This meant that she'd decided to wander to the Training Center. Still, she wasn't the one who'd been approached by Brett, but had just been withing sight.
She didn't immediately recognize the man, but that didn't mean a whole lot. In one year she didn't expect to have met everybody in the Academy, plus people came and went all the time. What he said intrigued her though, and she couldn't help but feel slightly affronted. Shouldn't she have been selected for something like that? After all, who else had managed to use her Gift as well as Morgan had?
So she kept an eye and ear on the conversation, fighting off the rise of jealousy.

"'Most Powerful Power' award?" The person repeated, sounding utterly clueless. Matt Ambrose was not the kind of guy to be asking such things. It was his fourth day at the Academy, he still felt like he knew nearly nothing, and he wandered to the Training Room accidentally. When he got there, he decided training was just what he needed...but he hadn't the slightest idea how to train.
Before the 'bad guys' showed up, he tried calling on his fire powers. Basically, he spent a few minutes shouting everything he could possibly think of, and waving his arms around. "Fire! Go, fire! Go go gadget fire! Fire, I choose you! Abracadabra! Uh...presto fire-o. Burn stuff, come on!" Needless to say, he had no luck, and started to search for someone who could possibly help him, with no luck.
Now, here he was, being asked questions by two guys, who seemed to think he knew stuff.
"Uh..." He started articulately, nervously fiddling with his hair with one hand. "I don't really know, I'm kind of, um, new here." He informed sheepishly, shoving his hands deep into his pockets and offering a lopsided, apologetic grin.
"Hey, are you guys agents? 'Cause one dropped me off a while ago, took off in a rush, and I haven't seen the guy since." He was starting to wonder if he would ever see that agent again...

Brett ignored the stupid question. In fact, he ignored the stupid kid. He smiled again, muttered a "Thank you for your time" and turned around to look for other likely victims. Oh, just his luck, a teenage girl (probably hiding under four hundred different foundations) was listening in on the conversation.
"You look like you know someone that could be helpful to our cause! Hmm? Please, speak up, and we will make sure that your name will be mentioned for your cooperativeness."
That's right, sweeten the deal. That's what these teens needed, extra encouragement.

If there was one thing Morgan prided herself on, it was her ability to judge people with very little information. Actually, scratch that, Morgan prided herself on many, many things. Judging people just happened to be on the list, and pertinent to the situation.
"What, the other kid not give you what you need?" asked Morgan, jerking her head toward Matt. Something about this situation still wasn't adding up. It did occur to Morgan that it would probably be better to play along. Better she deal with this then some brain-dead new arrival.
"I'm sure I could help you out. You wanted people with major powers, right?" she cocked her head to the side, and smiled slightly. "I know where quite a few of them are. Shouldn't be too hard to find them. But, uh, where did you say you were from? You know, foundation and all that?"
Yeah, trip them up. This looked to be almost easy. What kind of idiots were behind this debacle anyway?

This girl was a gold mine of information, and Brett was feeling rather proud of himself.
"The 'other kid', or so you say, is not very... integrated within the school system. You, on the other hand, look like a very reliable source of information."
"Foundation? Er... well, we are from the American Government. We have full right to be here, as a deal made with the Academy. After all, can't have a bunch of teenagers with superpowers running around without the government being alerted."

Oh, that was a good excuse. If Morgan were coming up with excuses, that would be the first one she'd use.
You only needed to get assaulted by demons a few times before you turned cynical against unknown authority figures.
"Riiiiight, what agency?" Morgan repeated, arching her brows. "And shouldn't you have a badge or something? I mean, you're here, so I'm assuming you got clearance somehow. Because you'd have to be an idiot to just walk into a school full of super-powered teenagers."
You couldn't really argue with that, now could you? Morgan's expression was deadly serious, and she simply waited for this guy to either redeem himself (unlikely) or bury himself further (what she figured was going to happen).

And so the rose showed it's thorns.
Brett was convinced he was more clever than a teenager, and laughed heartily to show he meant no harm.
"What agency? Well, it's not like we have an agency for this sort of thing! I turned in my badge and registration at the front desk. Like you said, I'm here, so I obviously have clearance. After all, a school full of super powered teenagers would have to be really dumb to let some hobo off the street wander in."
Mate, your turn.
Brett was enjoying this little tete-a-tete, but e was starting to tire of this insolent brat

You know, considering that Morgan had low key Gifts, and a tendency to get in way over her head, you'd think she would learn not to mouth off to creepy looking people who come demanding information. But, unfortunately, she simply couldn't.
"Not really," she countered, "the front doors aren't that tight. The important stuff's elsewhere. Everyone knows that. You just have to look at the stupid things to know that much. It's a school, after all."
She shifted her stance, and flicked her eyes to the boy. If something bad went down, Morgan wanted him out of there. Particularly to go fetch some help.
"And the government has agencies for everything, any idiot knows that," retorted Morgan, arching her brows. "So, what proof do you have that you're supposed to be here? C'mon, I want to see something."

Brett sighed. "You are indeed one smart young adult. I'm sure I have some papers I could show you. As a U.S citizen, it is your right."
Brett searched his pockets in an exaggerated fashion, turning out a few, patting down his body.
"Oh, silly me, I forgot. It's right here." There was no discernible change in his voice, but Brett's arm flashed out, a needle filled with sedative plunging into Morgan's forearm, a quick but potent sleeper. The contents were emptied and the needle swiftly put back into his pocket.

Why Morgan didn't tense when the guy started reaching for the pockets, she'd never know. She started regretting it the moment she saw his hand flash out. Her reflexes were good, and she jerked a hand up and her head back. This just meant that her arm thrust into the needle, which messed up the plunger some, but not quite enough to matter.
"F**k," she muttered, wobbling. Oddly enough, experience with being drugged kept Morgan on her feet for longer than it should have. She weakly lashed out, then dove her hand into her pocket. As the world started spinning, Morgan started fishing for the cell phone Rae had recently gifted her. Eventually her fingers lacked on it, but they felt sluggish, sliding over the pad.
In the end, it didn't really matter, Morgan's eyes close, and she slowly slumped to the floor, dead to the world.

Jefferies wasn't too good with talking, so he was more then willing to let his partner handle it.
When it became very obvious that the conversation was going south he started meandering away, they had a witness here, and while the boy looks dumb and clueless, you never knew who was going to be a potential breakthrough.
"I am sorry for my associates poor manners, please give you this gift for assisting in our survey." He said to the younger boy, reaching into his lab coat. As soon as he heard the sound of surprise and the curse from the girl he whipped out his own syringe and made a stab for the boys neck.
He didn't play nice and fair, it was too easy to miss an vein or artery in the arm, in the neck however, it was almost guaranteed.

Brett looked down at the girl that was now slumped on the floor, and turned to take care of the boy. His hand flew to his taser, but it seemed like Jefferies had a handle on the problem. So he turned and tried to move the now unconscious Morgan. He hoped this girl had a good power, but knowing his luck he'd be stuck with an Ocular Enhancer. He attempted to sling the girl over his shoulder, but she kept slipping, and she was quite heavy.
And so, out of his long sleeve came two industrial strength bags with the words "Garbage disposal" printed neatly. The bags each were able to fit a full grown adult, so a teenager wouldn't be a problem. He nodded to Jefferies. "You all right there?"

OOC: Permission to do this.
IC: Jefferis answered the question with the loud thuding sound of a boy hitting the ground, and another empty syringe in his hands.
"I think this is good, might be too hard with any more people. Besides, four is good for now wouldn't you agree? Come on then, let's get moving."
He stuffed Matt unceremoniously into a bag, smirking. "We need to get some better covers next time, this was planned poorly." He said over to Brett, slinging the bag over his shoulder.
"Ready to go then?"

Brett hefted Morgan into a sack. He was quite strong for his skinny build, and hefted the girl over his shoulder. Brett sniffed at Jeffries. "Improv is my medium. Besides, how was I supposed to know the brats gained a few extra I.Q points along the way?"
Brett swiftly went to the Exit, not even looking back. A quick escape would be vital.
