Morgan's thoughts on Eiji were about akin to Elliot's. The girl still couldn't help but harbor some affection for the pretty boy, but there was still too much rocky ground there. It was a shaky relationship at best, and likely to continue to be so.
Boy-crazy? "Yeah, that drove my family nuts. One of my sisters insisted that the only reason I like sports is because I get to spend so much time with boys. My mother actually tried to keep me away from them, after I kissed Tommy Jones when we won a soccer game."
The pleasant childhood memory brought a smile to Morgan's face, and her hand went to brush an errant curl from her face. She had been barely out of grade school then...
"'sides, can you name me a girl that's not a little boy-crazy?" Morgan paused, holding up a finger. "Besides Raelena St. John. She's just girl-crazy instead."

The imagine of a scrawny, pre-teen Morgan kissing a boy after a soccer game caused her to laugh out loud, looking over at the brunette with a grin. "Awh, that's cute." At that age, Mae had already begun to sneak behind the bleachers with boys twice her age and Elliot hadn't even dared to leave her father's side.
"Well, you got a head start in the flirting department on me," A little known fact, but embarrassing for her nonetheless. "I must have been, oh god, uhm, fifteen before my first kiss. " A late-bloomer in every sense of the word.
Morgan's last comment made her smirk, thinking of Rae, and fleetingly, the Scot's bizarre friendship with Elliot's older sister. "Eve!" The thought came to her from nowhere, and the blonde sounded mildly excited, as if thinking of a non boy-crazy girl had been some sort of game.
"Eve's not boy-crazy," she smiled triumphantly as they reached the very edge of the school grounds.

"Wow," Morgan's eye widened in feigned shock, "fifteen? That sounds like blackmail material for the infamous Elliot Davis."
Of course, Morgan wasn't likely to use it as such, and Elliot probably knew it. While Morgan had all the tact of a drunken hillbilly, she still wasn't about to betray someone's trust like that.
"Eve Melona?" repeated Morgan. That would be the Eve that both girls knew, though the other Eve was probably about as un-boy-crazy. "That would be the one who's dating Kaylen Valieth? She doesn't have to be boy crazy, Kaylen's awesome."
The youngest Cavan had fond memories of Eiji's friend, especially after Kaylen had lent her a PSP for a while. Yes, it was that easy to earn Morgan's favor.
"Hmm... what about Kellan? She's hardly boy-crazy," offered Morgan, smiling as she figured out a problem with her own theory.

Elliot laughed sweetly, "Yeah, it probably is considering I don't think I've ever actually told anyone else here that before." BUt it had been easy enough to let the fact slip to Morgan, a testament to how fast their friendship was actually building.
"That's true, Kaylen is great. I suspect that to be one relationship to last far past school." The two happened to compliment each other perfectly, and Elliot found them to be the only couple she could stand to be around - probably because they weren't as clingy or utterly gross, as other relationships were to the outside eye.
"Yeah, Kellan's not exactly boy-crazy either." Elliot nodded with a small smile, thinking of the other blonde's boyfriend. "Though she's got Kenneth, who might drive her just plain crazy given enough time and opportunity."

It certainly did say something that the two girls were sharing what they were already. Morgan hadn't had many girlfriends, but she was quickly understanding that Elliot would make quite a good candidate for that particular label. Besides, very few people knew about Morgan's first kiss; Jon certainly didn't.
"Eve's pretty awesome too," agreed Morgan, nodding. She still remembered the Italian saving Morgan from the horror that was the Cavan family. You don't forget something like that. "They fit well."
Now, Kellan and Kenneth...
"I wouldn't be surprised if Kenneth was already driving Kellan crazy," countered Morgan. "How she can put up with him is beyond me. That's one relationship I really didn't see coming... but they kinda work, don't they?"
This rounded Morgan's thoughts back to Jon. Were she and he like that? Maybe she should ask Elliot...

"Funny, she said that same thing about you." Elliot loved Eve, and admired the girl to quite a degree. It was something about being a girl with that kind of strength and purpose and resolve and heart - it made her wish she could be like too. Morgan radiated something to the same effect, and Elliot felt endeared to the younger girl for the same reason. Eve had said in passing how if she had ever had a sister, she wanted her to be just like Morgan.
"They definitely do. It takes a special sort of girl to handle Kenneth long term, I'd imagine." As if she hadn't gone out a few times with him herself, as if she didn't know exactly what kind of boy he was; a great one, but a guy all the same.
"Dorian and I went out with them a few times, and they always seem really happy." It was indeed one of the couples that no one had really seen coming, but it was also one of the few that seemed to be really working, and for all Elliot's cynicism and biases, she was happy for them.

It was hard for Morgan not to gloat over Eve's compliments. Someone she admired actually admired her back? About the only time that had happened was with Jon, and that was... interesting at best. Besides, it felt good to know that Morgan had made such a strong impression on Eve.
"You know..." Morgan mused, "when I first met those three; Dorian, Jon and Kenneth that is; I flirted with all three of them. I was absolutely horrible, leading them on and trying to play them against each other..."
She sighed, shaking her head. She could still believe she'd done it: she dated Jon now and still thought Kenneth was awesome. There were times when she was slightly jealous of Kellan, after all. But she wasn't going to let that little tidbit out just yet, not even to Elliot.
"I think Dorian still hates me a little for that," she finished, shrugging. "But Kenneth's cool. Then again, he's always been like that. Kellan's lucky."
She turned slightly, as if suddenly taking great interest in the buildings around her. They were nearly out of Masonville by now...

Morgan's admission caused Elliot to think of the first time she herself, met the three boys, and in spite of everything past, she found herself smirking. They had been eating breakfast and causing one of their usual scenes and having absolutely no trouble keeping Elliot's attention - she didn't waste too much time before going over and introducing herself.
"Hey, don't feel bad, I did the exact same thing." She laughed, but the noise sounded slightly strained, as if she still harbored a bit of guilt from the whole scenario. "I actually went out with all three of them on the same day." Elliot was quiet for a long minute, thinking back to that day with an expression still torn somewhere between amusement and remorse. She and Kenneth had skipped class and spent the afternoon sunbathing, curled up in the bottom of a row boat out on the lake, then afterward he had dropped her off at the kitchens were Jon had cooked them Crab Fettuccine for lunch, and she'd spent the night out at the club with Dorian until they had decided to walk back to the school and stargaze on the lawn until the cold forced them inside.
"Kenneth and Dorian actually got in a fight over the whole thing. In retrospect, I feel horrible, but," Elliot turned to Morgan with a smile that was more than secretive "I kind of enjoyed it to."

"Wait, you actually got to date all of them?" repeated Morgan, her jaw dropping. Somehow Jon had neglected to mention that he'd dated the great Elliot Davis. And now Morgan couldn't help but wonder if she and Elliot were always gunning for the same guys.
"I'm soooooo jealous," admitted Morgan. "Like, seriously. Kenneth's awesome, and Dorian's got that snarky thing going. You ended up with Dorian though, right? And Jon and Kenneth got fantastic girls, so..."
She hedged. Morgan didn't know for certain where Elliot and Dorian were, and wasn't quite ready to go dancing all over delicate territory yet.
"Anyway, I'm just glad that Kenneth and Jon didn't get all worked up about it. Just Dorian. That boy won't give me a second glance now," Morgan frowned, remembering glares she'd been on the receiving end of. No, she and Dorian didn't get along.

"Yeah, well, don't encourage me." She laughed, tucking away a curl to hide her smile. "I only went out with Jon once, but damn is he a good cook." The memory of the Crab Fettuccine made her expression brighten all the more, as did the recollection of the utterly adorable Jonathon Empris.
"Kenneth and I went out a few times, and he came and took care of me while I was sick, sung me the most ridiculous song - it was adorable." She could still picture him parading down the hall to her Dorm, belting out the tune as he announced his presence to the entire floor. Tactfully, she decided to leave the rest of that afternoon's details to herself. "But he found Kellan and hell, I'm no competition for that. And I was really happy with Dorian," she faltered, "until I just disappeared after Graduation and screwed it all up."
The blonde bit her lip for a second, hedging onto a subject that just made her feel all sorts of guilty. Thankfully, Morgan was already talking again.
"He'll come around. You are dating his best friend, he has to like you. Personally," she leaned close to Morgan, as if sharing another secret with her, "I think he just enjoys being moody and surly, and will take whatever excuse he can get to act like it." Laughing as she stood up straight again, Elliot stuffed her hands in her pockets, trying to ignore the way she already felt bad for teasing the boy, despite how he'd never even find out.

"I think he mentioned cooking before," admitted Morgan. At least she knew that much about her boyfriend. Though now she was seriously considering grilling him about his "date" with Elliot. There were still some kernels of jealous there, clearly.
For once, Morgan took the tactful track, avoiding the awkward branch of conversation that was Dorian. Neither girl really wanted to talk about him anyway, so there was no point in dwelling on it.
"He doesn't have to like me," argued Morgan. She frowned, wondering why this bothered her so much. Probably because Morgan liked being liked. At least, that's what she had to figure. "At least you make it sound like it's not going to be a personal thing."
It wasn't hard to picture Dorian as the surly, moody sort. Morgan had, had just enough interaction with him to have come to a similar conclusion.
"What's with boys and being all difficult anyway?" an exasperated Morgan finally said, throwing up her hands. "Guess that stupid adage works, huh? Can't live with them..."

"They're difficult because they're pretty." The Almasian smirked, reminded the younger girl of their earlier established theory. Dorian was indeed a difficult creature, but for all his faults he was undoubtedly good, worth every single snarky comment you forced you to endure before letting you in.
"...can't live without them!" Changing gears, Elliot finished Morgan's sentence with a laugh, looking just as bemusedly frustrated as the other girl at the thought. It was a truth in the simplest form, and the blonde suspected that every boy probably felt exactly the same way about the female race as a whole. For all the trouble people put each other through, it was amazing that some couples lasted as long as they did.

Of course they were, Morgan remembered that line of argument. It brought a smile to her face, which soon evolved into a laugh as Elliot finished her sentence. It definitely felt good to make a friend here, particularly another female one. Morgan spent far too much time around males, and it probably showed in the way she acted. Her family generally commented on it.
They'd never believe I was friends with someone like Elliot, that's for sure.
"We definitely need to spend more time with each other," decided Morgan. It had probably been said earlier, but possibly without as much conviction as Morgan injected into the words now. "It's definite. Gotta watch old movies, make fun of boys..."
Girly stuff.
Words that would never leave Morgan's mouth.

i realized why it took me so long to reply to this post. i typed up a great reply and for some reason it didn't stick and I just did not have the heart to re-do it. soz bby !
Elliot didn't have a lot of friends, because girls though her crude or enviable, and boys wanted a lot of things from her, but hardly ever her friendship, and so she had Draco, who was wonderful and almost as loyal as Noah, but not quite as crazy, and there was Nate, who had been the biggest surprise of all and who she was terribly afraid that she was losing. There was Peyton and Andrew sometimes, and even Kenneth, but still more often then not she found herself alone, and in truth, she was wholly missing something in that part of her life.
Enter Morgan, who was strong and determined and clever enough that she wouldn't get on Elliot's nerves. They were similar enough, with nearly the same friends, and yet, they were still such completely different and unique creatures - both were truths that had led to their mutual dislike in previous months, and now it seemed the points could simply be something more for the two girls to bond over. Truthfully, Elliot was hoping that more than anything else she could gain from hanging around Morgan, it would be some of her strength.
"For sure." The younger girls proposal had caused a bit of reassurance to surge through the blonde, to encourage a bit more self-worth to leak into her smile as they walked on. "But next time we go shopping, you owe me some killer jeans." Another laugh, and somewhere beyond the line of rooftops, the sun was fighting through the clouds.

"Oh hell yeah," agreed Morgan, nodding her agreement. Again, she was reminded of the oddity of the situation. Here she was with a girl she'd been envying since she'd arrived so long ago. Months of sulking, snipping, and drunken yelling (at least once). Yet there they stood, on the verge of a friendship of all things. No, they'd certainly already crossed that line, which surprised Morgan more then she cared to admit.
"Looks like we need to head back," muttered Morgan, her eyes skyward. she noted the retreating sun and felt oddly bothered by it. Maybe she wasn't quite ready for the day to end. It had certainly been pleasant enough, and now Morgan had a pair of jeans.
"Old movies first though," said Morgan, eyes flicking to Elliot. "Before jeans. Kinda hard to show up for some movies with jeans. Odd present, don'tcha think?"
