[red]"I know that it is...near a train passing, with lots of heavy and loud vehicles. It is underground as well. This sound will travel back to it's source, to that room. You have to follow it, that is the hope of finding them. I wish you luck...but I cannot do any more for you."
She looked to the wisp she held in her hand still, and then held it out.
"Fly fast children, it will lead the way."
And her fingers released the air current, which floated up and towards the entrance they had come from. It wasn't moving fast, but if you couldn't fly it would be hard to follow.
"Farewell. May you find your friends." She offered parting words to the pair. An interesting girl, she would like very much to meet her again. And the boy wasn't so bad either, at least he had a sense of decency.[/red]

She nodded her mind having no room for smiles. "Thank you, Star." Then she turned and listened to the woman. Nodding again she bowed her head wondering if she could do this. Could she honestly save the boy she loved?
Kiri is not a strong girl. Not phsyically, nor emotionally. She crumbled easily and cries at the snap of a twig. But he needed her. She'd try to be strong for him. Thing was when she got to wherever he was, would she be strong enough to do anything?
Then a dark thought entered her mind as the woman opened her hand. She might not be strong by herself but maybe...with help.
Taking to the air she shot after the wind stream eyes rivetted on it as if nothing else in the world mattered. She wanted to check if Star followed but was too afraid to look away. As she flew she whistled softly calling to any who would come. Any to who would follow.
The air started filling with birds.

Star allowed Kiri to take the lead, backing off as she started to take to the air....
And the he was up.
As the air started to fill with birds, Star was concentrating on what Kiri must be feeling. He looked at her troubled features, and could not blame her for wanting to be surrounded by that which she loved.
Looking at her, looking at her determination... She amazed Star. Whoever she was trying to find was a lucky person indeed.
His thought drifted startlingly to the only other friend he had at the Academy...
Skye.
In all respects, he would probably never see her again. He was confused as to what his feelings were towards her... what her feelings were towards him. And now...
A single tear escaped from Star, spiraling back to where they came from, sparkling in the light.

Three figures bounded up to Riana, having come from that place where forgotten plot elements go. The ferret, the turtle, and the duck all looked slightly the worse for wear after their ordeal, but also looked fairly pleased with themselves. After all, they'd aided in Kiri's escape, which made them suddenly minorly important in the plot. When you're a cognizant animal, you take what you can get.
Flyff trotted up to Riana, and seemed to smile. Twiddle waddled close, sitting down near the woman. Jolt was still catching up, give him a few posts.
From behind Riana strolled a more familiar figure, whistling to himself. As Cal drew close, he nodded to his animal army, then looked over at Riana.
"The kids are in over their heads," he said. His eyes flicked skyward, following Kiri's and Aaron's flight. "Gonna get a whole lot worse before it gets better."
Sighing, the Fae Consort looked down at his animal army. They all looked rather pleased with themselves, and certainly content.
"Shame about the whole 'neutral' thing. Not takin' sides or anything. Sucks sometimes, doesn't it?" Cal chuckled, bending over to gently pet Twiddle. He then tied something around the duck's neck, and gave the animal a pat.
Twiddle quacked twice, seemed to roll his eyes, and took off, following the two.
"I love meddling."

[red]Riana looked up at the man, scowling, but not pulling herself from the ground.
"Minerva is going to kill you if you keep dodging her orders like that." She chastised him. "And frankly I'd rather not have to deal with the stress around here should she exile you again. Or is this going to be a monthly thing?"
She looked towards the sky, wondering aloud. "I wonder if she will be ok? I wonder if I did the right thing, love is fleeting, she paid a great price for the chance to save someone. Was it the right choice to make, she'll just lose them anyway when she outlives them. Might have been better to simply feel the loss now before it becomes too ingrained."
She sighed, from he place on the ground.
"Well, what are you waiting for, help me up."[/red]

"Monthly thing," offered Cal, along with his hand. Twitch (Flyff) felt it necessary to run over and attempt to help too, which, of course, was little help at all. But he's a ferret, so we'll forgive him and just coo over how cute he happens to be.
"Sometimes you gotta make the choices that ain't the right ones," offered Cal. Once Riana was up he stuck his hands in his pockets and promptly focused on Kiri's and Aaron's flight path. "You only live once, even if you do last forever. 'sides, it's fun ta play with a human for a while, you know?"
Cal chuckled, sliding a finger under his nose. He then turned, taking a few steps further into the realm of the Fair Folk.
"Gotta admire the girl. Growin' up so fast an' stuff. Makes you wanna put on armor an' go chargin'. Shame we're neutral. Else I'd have to send a minion or somethin'..."

[red]Riana climbed to her feet, a bit weaker then she expected. She'd have to train more if it took that much out of her.
"Fun to play with a human? Please Calcus, they are short sighted, violent and greedy beings. I've yet to meet more then a handful worth even talking to. " She said with a grumble. "Whomever that boy is, he probably likes her for the same reasons humans fall for fae. She's beautiful, and kind, and perceives it as love. And of course she doesn't know any better. Just because it's the lesson we all have to learn doesn't make it any less painful to watch people learn it. She gave away a part of herself, it's deplorable."
She half smiled at Calcus. "Oh I wouldn't worry. The red-tipped blossom is after her as we speak, he should see to her safety. But out of curiosity, if you were going to send a minion after her, exactly what would you send it with?"
She was more then familiar with playing Cal's games, and she had to admit she was curious as to what the royal consort was planning.[/red]

"Love twixt Fae an' Human happens often," mused Cal. He chuckled, shaking his head. "who knows what may lay in the future for those two? Mayhaps Kiri hath found someone she could be with. You."
He pointed at Riana, but kept his eyes on the sky. "You ought to think about something like that yourself. Now, as for 'minions.''
Cal laughed, shoving his hands in his pockets. He now turned to Riana, winking. "I don't have minions. I'm nothing, remember? Discarded noble baggage. The plaything of a bored queen. Captain, I am mere dust on the wind."
He giggled now, lifting a hand to cover his lips.
"That girl will be fine, even were your brother not among those sent. That just makes things all the better. People gotta grow, an' that includes our friend Karmine," Cal stepped forward, tapping Riana's nose with a forefinger. "An' you, of course. Think about what you just did. Ought to bust you for not bein' neutral."
Bending over, Cal called Flyff over, the ferret climbing up his arm to nestle on his shoulder.
Jolt, well, Jolt was working on getting there.
"We must away, faithful minions."
Cal extended an arm, with a ferret clinging. "Away!'
And he headed in a random direction.
