Garion was back on the dance pad. Tired and thirsty.
Except the dance pad was completely constructed out of hot, burning coals.
And the Giant Head behind him was laughing, loudly. And yet somehow repeating the words You're ours now.
Child.
The glass of water looked ever so refreshing as Garion followed the nonexistent dance routine. Nothing you can do The head changed into the face of Jessica Rey, a seemingly unimportant annoyance in light of recent events. Garion DeLuse... poor child. The Head was every child or adult who had ever tormented him. Every spiteful word. Every hurried glance. Every punch, every manhandler, every whispered phone conversation. Ours now... Poor Baby! I just can't deal with him... BOOK F***ER! You're ours now... Just.. sit down there, Garion. Please, no more.
No more. Garion would not be helpless. Not any more.
And with Garion's newly formed hands, he grabbed the glass of water.
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep
Beeeeep Beep Beep Beep
Garion's eyes flashed open suddenly, and the monitor behind him started to buzz.
Beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep
Garion's muscles barely even ached... in fact, they felt better than ever before.
Escape.. he had to escape. He had to help Locke...
Oh God, Locke The ears! Why didn't Garion realise sooner that this place would treat Locke like a scientific curiosity even more so than your generic superpowered kid! Garion had to make sure he was alright.
The 9 year old tugged at his bonds in desperation, finding that for some reason they seemed... stretchier. More workable. The industrial-strength plastic shackles they had put on Garion's wrists and ankles to secure them to the table felt as if they were made of hardened clay.
They would rue the day they underestimated the nine year old and used plastic instead of steel.
Garion collected himself, and then focused all his energy into one large YANK. The plastic shattered, and his fists were carried with momentum until Garion heard a sickening crunch, and looked over at the unconscious woman. He stared at his bloody hands for a moment, placed them on the plastic shackles on his ankles and shattered them.
Garion looked around, confused. What was this? What's happening to him... perhaps the plastic was just too soft... of course... perhaps they softened it to prepare for releasing him.. of course, iit's the only conclusion.
Garion tried the door knob... unlocked. He peered outside and found no one, so he ventured out, closing it behind him. He turned around to get his barings when his arm smacked into something.
A cool female voice sounded softly. " Fingerprint verification for password change?" Garion had hit a button on a locking mechanism panel that controlled the door's locking mechanism. Garion gently pushed on the fingerprint scanner with his mind. It cracked slightly, which was strange, but the oils left from the previous fingerprint still remained.
"Password changed. Thank you, Director."
Garion proceeded to sneak around the halls, hoping to find Locke's room.
(OOC: If this doesn't work for you, I'd be happy to edit it... I know that I auto hit the NPC, but I want the plot to move faster. Feel free to complain.)

Her wings were barely keeping her up anymore and a third of her bird friends had left her. She kept sagging in the sky until she feared that she would lose the wind that they were following. Kiri hazarded a glance behind her at Star and waved.
Her mind and body felt numb, and oh so cold. She was only dressed in a blue dress after all and flying at relatively high altitudes to keep from normals seeing them. Another reason she'd called the birds hoping their shadows would just make people a large flock was passing over head.
Then wind went downwards over a building and Kiri waved her hand downwards as she tilted her body diving after it. Had they finally reached the place? How much closer was she to finding him? She was running as her feet touched down to keep up with the wind. That wind lead them into a building. The birds couldn't help her now, and she called out to the rats once more. But cities have more rats than a castle.
"Star, come on! It's in here." She didn't wait, she couldn't. Not so close.

Star struggled to keep up to the fast flying Fae. "Kiri! Stop! It could be dangerous!" They should at least slow down before landing. Star chased Kiri all the way to a large, nondescript building. Star resorted to grabbing Kiri by the shoulder to stop her.
"Kiri, we have to be careful. The people in there... they can kill us. You know how easy it is to kill us for humans. Come on, let's see if we can find somewhere to downsize and sneak in."
Star was worried about the cute little girl. Obviously there was someone she cared deeply about in there, and seeing him hurt would probably kill her. And anyway, he was probably dead, or worse.
"Whatever you see in there.. whatever happens... promise not to do anything drastic, Or stupid. Okay?"

Kiri nearly screamed when Star grabbed her, instead she whipped around giving him a look that had only come upon her face once before. Something dark and clearly not a look the bright little fae was. Then when he spoke she calmed and the darkness faded instead replaced with a blank slate. A cold, numbness.
"You're right...I-I wasn't thinking clearly." Kiri touched her forehead tears burning but she choked them down. This was no time to cry. She waved her hands and scouts of a few mice and rats went out.
"I think that alley is clear we can size down over there." Voice empty she started walking down the alley. Soon she'd be smaller than some of the larger rats. Once at the end of the alley she turned and nodded at Star. She wanted to smile, to reassure him. But no smile came. Not giving the promise he asked for she lowered her eyes and she began shrinking.

The cold, withering look given to Aaron was one that fully extinguished every last flame still living inside him. He felt as if he had been immersed in icewater. Her cold, empty voice did nothing to help him.
"Kiri I..."
Star stopped, and followed Kiri to the alleyway where he too started to glow, whirl and shrink. He had no idea what to say to the girl in this situation. He just followed her, keeping an eye on the fragile Wingrose.
Except... I suppose we're not students any more...

Why did Jefferies get stuck with the boring jobs? That stupid girl had been out since they'd brought her in here, why she'd barely even stirred! He grumbled and growled as he sat in the corner of the room, reading the notes he was supposed to be 'analyzing'. What tedious work, he hated things like this.
And then the power went out, lovely. A complete power outage, that wasn't right. It came on soon enough, but on the backup generators.
"I don't want the specimen to escape, better keep her sedated until we figure out what the hell is wrong with the power grid." He said, pulling of of the syringes from his coat. "Won't kill her...yet." He mumbled to himself.

Marshall didn't bother to turn around, the large metal door already open as he walked into the threshold. "Oh well, if you don't wish to cooperate, I can go talk to your friends. One little boy, some genetic gold mine, and that girl. I am sure one of them will respond with the right...motivation."
It was then that the lights went out. Marshall stood in the dark room, illuminated by the red safety lights in the hallway, he couldn't see anything in the pitch black room, but Matt could see his shadow in the doorway.
He turned to look out of the room, his back to Matt. "What on EARTH is going on?"

The normal, perky, happy go lucky, light hearted Kiri would have felt horrible for giving Star such a look. This girl felt nothing, nothing but worry and fear under a fog of numb. Her glamour covered her in a little black dress, what usually was a bright yellow color. Her black and yellow wings fluttered and she flew to find an air duct.
"Star, we need to find an air duct or something. Maybe an open window?" She flittered about even faster in her smaller form. One of the rats squeaked at her and she glanced down. It was a water pipe, that wouldn't work.
Kiri could've passed over a way in three times and not seen it for the girl was clearly not thinking right. She was frantic and all she wanted was to get to Locke. Stopping in her flying she covered her face and tried to breathe. Little fae girls were not supposed to be heros. Knights were. People like Kennedy, Karmine, and Riana were the ones who did stuff like this. Strong people. Not little, lost fae girls who just wanted to cry.
Her feet touched the ground without her realizing she'd been losing height. Looking up at Star she felt like she was losing everything, and yet hadn't even started their quest. A mouse nudged her and she fluttered her wings. She had to be strong, even if she wasn't.

Karmine might have found it hard to find the place, after all the directions weren't exactly specific. At least that was what he thought until he saw a large gathering of birds circling around a building. It was near a set of train tracks, and in an industrial area.
"Bingo." He said with a smile. She'd gotten hear already. But he couldn't see her...which meant...
"****!" Karmine cursed. She's gone in alone?! Damnit, damnit, DAMNIT! They needed warriors, not casualties! seeming to grab a piece of air he talked to it, and released it to watch it split into pieces in the sky.
Rae, Kirien and Sycth would get the message sent. Karmine could only send to people he knew, and he knew people best by fighting them.
Admittedly the message to Scythe was sketchy at best, but it was better then nothing.
"Hey, I found the address, get here pronto. A very upset little fae girl found the place first, and I think she went in without thinking. Screw subtly, I could care less what the humans think right about now. I'm breaking contact and attempting to get in, when you get there, cause as much noise as you can. I'll try to locate the kids."
He looked about the building, finding an air duct in the side of it. She did say it was underground...
Shrinking down he flew to it, and saw the large fan.
"Hah, how quaint." He said with a smile, stilling the air around the fan. It stopped it's whirring momentarily and he descended down.
Even if he found them, he couldn't reveal himself here, he was heavily out numbered, and he wasn't too good at dealing with technology. All he could do now was get into position when the distraction arrived.

So there's three others. Matt mused, feeling himself grow angrier at the man's continued threats. And there was a little boy? Someone younger than himself?
These guys are sick. I have to get out of here, and get them out of here, fast!
As soon as he finished that thought, the whole place seemed to power down, and he was cloaked in darkness. He grinned as he crept to the door, silently thanking every deity that came to mind for giving him just the miracle he needed. Mr. Know-It-All-Doctor wasn't even paying attention!
It wasn't hard for him to squeeze through the doorway, and slip past Marshall; he was a short and scrawny boy, and quite used to getting himself out of tight spots. He moved as quickly and quietly down the hall as he could, praying that none of the guys in this place had any stun guns or sleep grenades on them.
What? It could happen!
He kept his eyes open for rooms that might hold his fellow captives.

Actually, the distraction wasn't too far behind Karmine. Rae had immediately headed for St. Louis. Oddly enough, she'd had the smarts to have a car waiting for them at the edge of Masonville. That way the whole strike team could travel fast enough to actually be of use to Karmine.
She'd already explained Eve to Eryk, even offering pictures if the other wolf wanted it. Even if he hadn't wanted it, he at least got a few seconds of make-out session, because Rae felt like sharing. Naturally she didn't reveal this to Eve, and allowed herself to be covered once they were in the car.
(really, if Eve wasn't going to sex Rae up; Rae didn't see why she couldn't be naked....)
Their car entered St. Louis proper just in time to receive Karmine's message.
"Righ', better get ready fir th' fun time, folks," murmured Rae, chuckling darkly. Rae was always ready for fun time...

His eyes peeked open a bit when he got Karmine's messaged then he promptly closed them. He was doing his best to ignore the rest of the beings in the car. Some more than others. Arms over his highly muscled chest he waited for them to rest the address. Place, establishment, building. There was a grey wolf sitting near him, and the war dragon was starting to think the wolf was just that. If it was a lycan either it didn't feel like sitting naked, or the shifting was too much for him as often as the female did it.
The massive form seemed to fill up the space he sat in. The other war dragon had taken the wheel not wanting to indanger a civilian. Or at least someone not involved. He was just fine with that seeing as he didn't know how to work the machine. Car, vehical, transportation. The imposing dragon sat and waited until the car pulled to a stop, and the female dragon got out of the car motioning everyone out. As he was sitting as close to the door as possible he opened the door and climbed out.
Now was the time to make some noise. He snapped his neck to the side and a loud pop resulted. Then cracking his knuckles he went up to a door that lead inside and punched his fists on either side. After doing this he pulled his arms bulging with the strain his shoulders, back, and kneck showed the effort as well. With a roar, and the sound of bending metal, and crumbling brick he pulled the door from the wall. He took three steps backwards and tossed it down the alley. Hurled, threw, chucked. Dusting off his hands he waved to the opening for everyone to enter.
If that wasn't a noisy entrance he didn't know what was. Loud, obvious, boisterous.

I'm going to assume this is the same door Kara went in, and thus leads to the same place.
"Thank you," Cylo said to Scythe before quickly dashing through the opening.
He had managed to keep pace with Karmine pretty well, considering he was carrying another someone and was on foot, and had reached the building a few moments before the carload of people had. However, he had spent most of that head start looking for a way in, since he'd lost sight of Karmine before seeing where he had entered, and had only just found such an entrance when Scythe created one for him.
He knew nothing of the plan Karmine had laid out, but figured that time was of the essence, and reacting as quickly as possible was definitely called for. He didn't believe much would be accomplished wasting precious second talking. Of course, Cylo tended to think this way about a lot of things, what with being demon of speed, but he also really liked to talk.
He took quick inventory of the room he came into upon entering the building, and when he spotted a solid-looking door across the warehouse-looking area, he sped over to it and gently set Kirien down next to it, stretching out his arms once she was no longer in them.
"Hey, I hate to make a lady do all the work, but could you get the door for me? My arms are awfully sore after all that."
By the tone of his voice and his devious grin, two things were obvious; he didn't intend on politely knocking on the door, and he having way too much fun with the whole ordeal. But it was the only excitement of the violent, world-changing sort he'd experienced in far too long, and he'd be damned if he didn't get as much enjoyment as possible out of it.

"I think an open window is too much to ask for. Maybe some crack that hasn't been closed or something. " Star fluttered around window sills, checking every little break in the caulking, finding none big enough. The windows were all dark except for some ominous red lights, giving the inside the appearance of a haunted house.
Star flew to examine another window, when a particular one caught his eye.
Mostly because a computer monitor was smashed through a window, crackling with electricity.
Aaron turned to Kiri to tell her about it just in time to watch her float down, down, down to the ground. Wordlessly, Aaron rushed to Kiri and in one swift instant, wrapped his arms around her in a tight hug, pulling her head close to his chest. It's okay.

"Next time we need tae figure oot a way tae talk wit' each other," murmured Rae. She stepped around Scythe, strolling into the building as if she were walking down the street. Oddly enough, she didn't hear any alarms or see anyone running around screaming. You'd think they would have alerted somebody...
Then someone popped up, dressed in a trenchcoat. The man blinked at Rae, then looked at Scythe behind her, then started running.
"I ken they ken we're here!" sang Rae, turning over her shoulder and smiling. She'd wound up with a lot of the heavy hitters, and she honestly felt sorry for any norms that ran into them. Being torn apart by a wolf or eaten by a dragon had to be a messy way to go. Would be fun for Rae though.
Heck, this was practically a date. Her girlfriend and buddy were here. Sure, they were being chaperoned by some big bald guy. But that was just ambiance.
"Any ideas?" she asked, blinking. Her best idea was to simply start walking forward and knock out anyone that got between her and the people they were supposed to be rescuing.
Yeah, let's hope that someone in Rae's little group could actually plan something.

The noises weren't going unnoticed by the Corporation. Believe it or not, they really are quite competent.
The Director began shouting orders, locking down certain sectors. He made certain that the doors leading to all his precious specimens were completely sealed. Garion, Matt, Locke, and Morgan were now separated from their rescuers by several inches of school.
Stephens gathered together several other like minded no-necks, and they were headed for the sectors of loudest sound. One could hear the heavy footfalls coming from dozens of boots and shoes, accompanied by the tell-tale clank of weaponry.
The specimens were also left more or less alone.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Garion might try to sneak through the halls, but he wouldn't get far before nearly running into Niplik. The stunned, stuttering scientist stared at the small boy.
"W-w-w-wha-?" he backed up, his eyes wide, his hand fumbling in his jacket. Finally, he flailed toward a nearby red button, slamming his body onto it. A new alarm resounded throughout the lab, complete with flashing lights.
