This has been happening a lot recently, so I thought I would address this and make sure the problem is nipped in the bud.
An open roleplay is considered closed after a person has joined it. If you wish to join an RP that is in progress, you can feel free to PM the people involved and ask them if you may join, but otherwise you should not interrupt. There are some exceptions to this rule.
Large Scale Plot Topics. Some plot topics will be for a specific person, others still will be massive undertakings, like an invasion or a dance or party. These are open to as many applicable characters as you desire.
If there is a thread you wish to join that is already occupied, then PM the people in it. Maybe they will let you in, maybe not. But please do not just butt into running threads without any warning.
Thank you for your time. -Rob

Open RPs are just that, open to anyone. If you'd like to take up an open RP, but do not have the time to write a response (or a response of the length/detail you deem needed), please make a short OOC post in the thread stating that you are working on a post for the topic. Please claim the thread as soon as you know you want to post there.
For example: 'OOC: I'm writing a post for this, but I need some more time.'
This informs other members that the topic has been 'claimed' as it were, and we won't have four different members writing replies to the same topic, and getting frustrated when the conflict happens. When you are ready to post, simply edit your placeholder and continue as normal.
It should be considered poor form to claim a topic and then 'forget' about it, so please treat it as a normal RP topic when you claim it.
