They tend to be very similar in nature, but I will do my best to differentiate.
Godmode: Being unstoppable. Can dodge everything, never gets hurt, never misses, never gets fooled by a lie etc etc. Basicly making a character that is infallible.
Powerplaying: This offense is much easier for a normal character to fall into, some of us just get carried up in the moment, and don't realize we overstep our boundaries. Examples of powerplaying might be, deciding an attack automatically hits without allowing a return post, reading someones mind and then deciding what they think for yourself, Pre-cognitive RPing(EG: I knew about that secret because I was evesdropping on him earlier. I didn't post saying I was because I didn't want to give myself away.).
Basically, godmodding is a character problem, Powerplaying is a slip of the player. It's usually not a horrible deal, just mentioned, corrected, and we all get on with our lives.
