By relaxing her body, the sensation took over and released an orb of flame from her fingertips. Her bedroom was set ablaze, until her father ran in and managed to extinguish it. For the past year, she tried to keep her powers a secret and live in denial about them entirely. Thanks, honestly she's my first stand alone character I've done besides Corinthia, who was fairly easy seeing as I based her off myself.

That's the best way to write! You know yourself the best, and eventually it gets easier to create characters based off specific parts of you. For example; Kara is my heavily emotional side, Dorian is my snobby side, Kenneth is the wild part of me, Jon is the timid, uncertain part, Angela is the sweet idiot I can be on my good days, etc etc. It's so much fun to explore new characters... I find it hard to keep a character I can't relate to though. It can be fun at first, but if they're like pure evil, I can't connect with them enough to figure out wtf is going on in their head. >.<

What I struggle with now is turning each of these heavily personified fragments of myself into well-rounded characters with whole personalities of their own. Haha, that's where everyone here comes into play - they help us discover more about our own chars through some seriously entertaining interactions.

I understand that. I'm relatively still new to the roleplaying world. I'm trying to figure out what part of my personality Kerry represents. It took me months to come up with her, every single one besides her had martial arts experience. I didn't think I could write someone who wasn't a fighter, so I don't know how's she's going to turn out.
