GUIDE
- Please try to post more than one line of text when roleplaying.
- Use third-person, and write in past tense. For example, "She went to the store," not "I went to the store." You may use first-person writing is acceptable for fanfics and character profiles.
- Write it out! If your character is taking an action, please refrain from using *s or -s. Type out what they are doing in sentence format, for example, "Mary climbs the tree." instead of "*climbs tree*". If your character is talking, use quotation marks.
- Don't use chatspeak! Chatspeak is abbreviating words that aren't normally abbreviated, or altering the spelling of words by adding, removing, or changing letters. For example, "She walked 2 da store & asked 4 sum gum. Then she waved 2 da boiz that were bai her. OMG, what QTs!"
- Be creative! While we do allow you to use pictures of existing characters or people to represent your character, please do not copy a character entirely. Avoid using the full name of an existing character or person and copying their history. When making a character that is based off of another, you may only have two of the following in common with the model: first OR last name, appearance, personality.
- If you join, you must make a character profile before beginning to roleplay. People are more likely to rp with you if they know a bit about who they're dealing with, and having a profile helps the staff set up your account.
- If posts contain sexual activity, extreme violence, or other questionable content, please put a clear warning, such as "R" or "Mature," in the first message of the thread.
- Don't post in completed threads! Make sure to read a thread completely before posting. If all of the characters who were roleplaying in that thread already left, don't post there. If you want to roleplay with them, make a new thread.
- No godmoding. Keep your character's age, magical ability, or similar factors in mind when giving them abilities. Be realistic! Give your characters strengths and weaknesses.
- No powerplaying. Respect the other person's character. Do not control another character or decide how they will react. Give all roleplayers the opportunity to respond to stimuli.
- No powermodding. In battle situations, you are expected to be reasonable. Do not dodge, attack, or block continuously.
- No metagaming. Don't let your knowledge of characters and plots interfere with your roleplays; just because you know something doesn't necessarily mean your character does. Act with the information your character would have.

POLICY
- Please stay active! Inactive accounts will be deleted. If your account is deleted due to inactivity, don't worry, you can rejoin with the same username and get all your information back! If someone takes your username, however, your previous post information will not be accessible via your recent post list.
- After you create an account, you have two weeks from that date to sign in again, or your account will be deleted. Once you've signed in after the date your account was created, the two week requirement no longer applies: you then must log into all of your accounts at least once a month. If you have listed yourself as away and given all your account names in the Inactivity Notices thread, this rules does not apply to you.
- If you are an active roleplayer with multiple accounts, and want to put one of your accounts on hiatus, you may do so by contacting an admin. The account will be listed as "Retired," and the character's profile will be moved to the "Retired Characters" section. Retired characters will not be in danger of deletion in Activity Checks unless the roleplayer becomes inactive in all his accounts, and retired characters can become "active" again whenever their roleplayer wishes. However, retired characters will lose their character claims for the period in which they are inactive.
