Zen walked down the busy streets of the city. He was holding three bags from various stores that mostly contained fitness clothes. One bag, the biggest one, contained a bokken, or a wooden katana. He planned on using it for his training.
And about his training, Zen has decided not to stay within the boudaries of the samurai, as his family might want him to, but to include various styles of martial arts all around the world, including karate, boxing, kickboxing, and brazilian Jujitsu. But the bokken came in handy when he wanted to train with a sword.
The Bokken he picked was not a normal one either, but one made from the hardest wood he could possibly find. Otherwise, his hard hits wood snap the bokken in half everytime. It was a common problem for him back in Japan.
As Zen was walking, he noticed a Starbucks coming up and decided to get some tea before going back to the Campus. He walked in the door and greeted the lady at the counter.
"Hi ill take a grande Tazo Awake Tea please." he said.
THe cashier punched a bunch of buttons. "That will be $5.20" she said with a smile Zen handed her exact change and sat down to wait for his afternoon beverage, and right as he did so, the door to the store opened and he saw a familiar face from Campus.

((Well even though he doesn't go to either the academy or the university he hangs around there A LOT so...yeah))
Shadow walked towards a stand he was going to have some tea but something caught his eye someone younger then him maybe he'd seen him before but he'd never spoken to him...yet. Shadow walked towards him wondering what was in the bags two ways to find out the first was to just snatch them out of the boys hands and look the second was to just look in them.
Deciding that the second one was the way to go He walked around him until he was behind the boy and looked in the bags it didn't take more then a second to spot the bokken. "I have a request to make, Allow me to teach you how to use that."
He said Shadow remembered those words came out of Katana's mouth, this boy would most likely react the same way Shadow did. asking who he was and why the question. Shadow went on to quote Katana.
"They say the sword is dead useless now that guns have been invented...not so guns are nothing with out a barrel and ammunition. The sword does not require such and honor comes with it I am Shadow Chrestmire a weapons master along with many styles of martial arts. I feel that you need to learn to protect someone even if it's just yourself, your eyes say it all, they've got a fire in them.
Shadow looked at the bokken. He pulled out a scrap of paper and scribbled an address on it. "I want you to meet me here it's only a couple blocks down that way you can't miss it it's an old OLD church go in the basement area I'll wait for you there." This fight was something Shadow needed to take his mind off Katana.

"Zenharu!!" the lady at the counter called. His tea was ready, but Zenharu was more focused on the man who came in the door, and was now standing close to him and eyeing his belongings. What is it he wants?

Ah, that's who it was. Shadow is a graduated student from the academy, and he must have seen Zen there before. Zen didnt look up at him, only at his tea waiting eagerly for him at the counter. I wish this guy would cut to the chase my tea is going to get Cold
"I want you to meet me here it's only a couple blocks down that way you can't miss it it's an old OLD church go in the basement area I'll wait for you there."
Shadow promptly walked out the door after, erm, 'talking' to Zen. Zen never even looked squarely at the guy, let alone said anything to him. After he was sure Shadow had gone Zen walked to the counter, grabbed his tea and finished it at his seat. Then he picked up his bags and the address and walked out the door.
The church wasn't far away. It was clearly worn down and had plywood nailed over the windows. Zen walked up the gray and cracked steps and made sure no one was looking before he forced open the door. Inside there was a giant worship area and doors to his right and left. He checked the right one and found that it led to a dark basement like Shadow talked about. Zen set his bags down, took one last look around, and headed down the steps into the darkness.

Why did I challenge this one I mean yeah he's got that.....thing in him but...Katana. Shadow pulled out a picture of Katana and himself their arms over each others shoulders, both smiling. "Katana," He mumbled, the image of Katana laying dead flashed through his mind. His anger flared but he heard footsteps.
Perhaps.....he'll help me. he thought as he turned on the lights even with the lights off it was possible to see but Shadow figured he should make it more welcoming. The room Shadow stood in was the only room with the lights on. The basement of the church was clean and well kept. it had only three rooms though the training room/armory the computer room and Shadow's bed room.
Very few people got to walk the red carpet on the floor see the purple walls The training room/armory had many weapons none were guns though but anything that was used before the invention of gun powder was on the wall kept in a hard transparent plastic case.
Needless to say these lined the walls so to protect those a cage was around the room that could be lowered and raised at the push of a button. Shadow waited for his guest to come into the room.
