Appearance

Haru is about 6' tall with long black hair and brown eyes. He has a broad and lean build, with defined muscles. He enjoys working at the gym to keep his muscles toned, as well as going on runs throughout New York City. Because of the density of his muscles, Haru weighs almost 250 pounds. He doesn't have any defined style, but prefers wearing comfortable clothing that don't restrict his movement. This is especially the case with running/tennis shoes

Personality

Haru has a very introverted and unsocial personality. He tends to keep to himself and not go out of his way to make friends. He rarely connects to other people and when they try to reach him, his responses are short and terse, though not necessarily unfriendly.

When it comes to work he's self-guided and -motivated, and always finishes what he starts. He's a hard and diligent worker, and it pays off in his school marks. His teachers in Japan frequently used to comment that he was highly intelligent and would have more potential if he reached out to others in order to gain new insights and ideas.

History

Haru's family originated in Japan and can be traced back to the Matsuda clan in the Heian Period. His family has deep traditional roots and Zenharu was trained by his father to respect those traditions such as meditation, swordfighting, and honor. Haru discovered his powers at a young age (7 or 8) while sparring with his father, who is a very good swordsman. Haru was able to defeat his father by hitting the wooden bokken so hard that it broke in two, then knocking his father out while he was stunned. Haru's Powers were kept as a secret from the rest of the family, and when he came to be 18, his father sent him away to New York after hearing about what the Academy can do for Haru.

Haru enjoys developing his skills as much as he can. He plans to one day return to Japan and show his father how much honor he has earned and what he has done for te Matsuda Clan. It is not power that Haru wants, but respect and honor. Keeping to tradition, Haru strives to keep himself as simple as possible and not indulging in great pleasures such as technology and modern clothing or even modern weaponry.

Family

Haru grew up in Japan as an only child. His parents were farmers and therefore did not have much money, yet were able to save enough to send him to New York City. Although Haru is very interested in girls, he doesnt make any moves and therefore has no girlfriend. As he makes friends in New York, Haru hopes maybe to finda a girl, one that has abilities and accepts him.
