The Quiet had not been in New York long, but he already felt at home. There were so many people in the streets, but all of them were rushing to where ever they were going, or on their cell phones or had something plugged into their ears. So even though, Quiet was surrounded by people, he was all alone. Which is what he wanted in the end. It was refreshing to be with so many people while being alone for a change.
No man is an Island? Yeah he had heard of that saying before, but he was pretending that he hadn't.
People rushed by Quiet on the side walk, paying him no mind, and he did the same to them, even though he had no where in particular he needed to go. Upon thinking that, he suddenly stopped. He did have a place he needed to go, because he had no place to go. He needed to go somewhere, where he could have a place to go.
That is to say, he needed to buy up some cheap run down apartment. He recalled that he had planned to buy up a few discrete places that he could use as hide outs around the city. He dug around the pockets, and felt around for the wads of cash he had withdrew before he arrived. He realized that Yen was no good in America, and so until he got to a bank, he'd pretty much broke. That was an odd thought considering he was carrying a small fortune in Japanese currency.
Quiet let out a loud sigh. He only had stopped for a second, and yet his mind had worked out all these various scenarios about getting situated. The curse of human ambition seemed to still be afflicting him and it filled him with disgust. He wanted to just disappear. He closed his eyes, and that's just what he did.
In a flash of light he was gone. It was reckless yes, but most of the people around him were not paying attention to him. The light flashed those who had him in their field of vision, causing them shield their eyes or look away. Some would wonder where he had gone, after the flash, but most would just dismiss it and assume he simply walked away in the moment they looked away. Even if someone where to cry out that a man suddenly disappeared, they wouldn't be taken seriously.
Most likely.
The Quiet hadn't vanished for good. As soon as he disappeared he reappeared elsewhere. It was one of his gifts. The ability to teleport from point a to b. He choose the roof top a nearby building. It was as deserted as he imagined it would be. He came up here to clear his mind, but he couldn't just forget who he was so easily, or what he was trained to do. His mind only became as quiet as he was, after he had settled on a course of action, fully planning ahead his next steps.

Raven was walking up the stairs The second he opened the door to the roof top a flash of light appeared He pulled one of his blades and charged at the person then stopped and put it away. "You do that to get yourself noticed?" Raven asked without giving the person a chance to respond he went on "People see that they'll freak out, people freak out it makes a camotion, That happens cops show up, cops show up people think one person who saw it is crazy but people think five or more saw it others listen, It goes's on T.V, Internet, Radio, Newspaper then all of a sudden the person who just disappeared and reappeared somewhere else is seen again.
After that you don't wanna know." Each time he listed something Raven took one step forward at the end of all of his rant he stopped right next to the person it turned out to be a boy. "Now tell me something where is it you need to go that you teleport to get to because your in such a hurry?" He asked not in the most friendly tone but not hostile either he had one hand on one of his swords.

The Quiet turned around to see a man charge at him, with a blade drawn. There were so many things to find odd, and alarming with the whole thing, but Quiet was the kind of guy who didn't sweat the small stuff. His past experiences really puts those kinds of things into perspective.
He was elated to see the man stop and sheath his weapon. Another few steps closer with it out, and he would have teleported away. The alarmed expression on his face began to fade, and he listened to the man berate and scold him with a calm expression.
Nothing the man said was false, but it was definitely a worst case scenario. One that Quiet, was aware of, and if it came up, he'd just run away at the first sign of trouble, before any higher power could get serious about following up on him.
By the man had finished his lecture, Quiet was quietly smiling at him.
In the end, the man wasn't wrong, and Quiet had no excuse. So in return he simply closed his eyes, took a slight half-step away for room, and then pressed his hands together in a praying position in front of his face. He then gave a quick bow towards the man, in the space he had created. He was trying to wordlessly apologize, but it's possible that the man wouldn't get that.
He still had the pleasant smile on his face, as he bowed. So even if he though he was trying to apologize, he didn't look particularly broken up about it. When he was finished, he stood upright, and looked the other man directly in the eyes as he listened to the man's next question.
Quiet was not alarmed by the man's weapons, as he had already resided to run away if a fight broke out. For someone who could teleport and had enhanced reflexes there was very little to fear, as long as you don't mind running away.
The man had asked Quiet where he was going, but he had no where in particular that he wanted to go. His answer was a shrug of his shoulders. Then with his arms he gestured to the area around him, and looked around the roof. This was where he was going. To do nothing in particular, but his vague body language might not have been enough to convey that.
Quiet, himself, was curious where the man and his blades were going, from here on the roof, but he lacked the hand gesture to ask.

"So you are going no where?" Raven asked again without giving the boy a chance to respond he went on "Why not stay a bit then and hear a story if you have no where to go and no hurry then surely you have time." Raven said it was what Raven had hoped for someone who would listen to his story no matter if they laughed it off or not it was the truth he needed more people Having the saints was good, but still not enough. "If you stay and listen you may find some place you are needed. Perhaps you will find a place to go or maybe just maybe you'll find...somewhere you belong.
Of course I will not force you and should you choose to leave I will not follow I had no intention of hurting you sometimes I just act before I think and I am sorry about that.

Quiet listened quietly, as the man went on. He cocked his head at an angle slightly, as he listened. He nodded just once, after the man had finished with his proposition. It was not an outrageous request, that he stay and listen. Aside from that, he simply stood where he was with his pleasant smile and somber eyes. The fact that he wasn't leaving should have been enough of a hint that he would listen.
The man was a bit odd, but that was what made Quiet interested. He wasn't afraid of the man, but that didn't mean he wasn't wary.
He would listen to the man, but that did not mean he would believe everything that was spoon fed to him. He wasn't entirely sure if he would invest his time or effort in this man, or the 'place' that might be in need, but he tried to keep an open mind. Besides, he wanted to find out just why was it that this man wasn't surprised by Quiet and his ability.

Raven pulled down his hood and looked at the boy there had to be at least fifty different scars on Raven's face. You see these scars? They all come from the same group of people The Red Roses I'll be brief so as not to bore you to death let's just say there like a cult they claim to be a family accepting anyone who needs a place, they lie. They want everything you, me, the people I know it sounds like some kind of comic book thing the bad guy wanting to take over the world but that's only part of it I know there is more but even I don't know everything now these scars are nothing compaired to somethings please look at these pictures.
Raven got closer so the man could see the pictures the way he moved should have been a way to show he had no hostile intentions. One Picture showed a boy around the age of fifteen covered in 3rd degree burns and scared head to toe. The next was a girl around eighteen who you could tell was about to be raped her mouth sewen shut though the same with her eyes. The last was a man without arms or legs still bleeding and suffering. Raven put them in his pocket "I keep these to remind me why I fight them those people are all in a safe place now save the third he begged me to kill him so I did it in a quick way."
Raven gave the boy his space "What I'm asking for is your help these people," Raven stopped "No people is not the word these Monsters need to be stopped worse yet there's so many crooked cops in New York they won't do anything. I noticed you could teleport and that would be a great asset to me I've got six others one of them is a girl who can teleport like you but isn't fully in control of her power perhaps you could help." Raven had a slightly excited tone but it vanished as his next statement would come,
"I won't force you to help me if you choose not to I will not hunt you down I won't attack I won't even talk trash about you if you need time to think then take your time but I'd like a yes no or I'll think about it response ok?" He put his hood back up to hide his face. Then waited for the boy to respond to him.

Quiet looked away when he heard the word cult. He had, had enough of cults, but he continued to listen. He looked deeply into the man's eyes. He couldn't help but see some of himself in the man. Desperately trying to recruit those with power to help undo this justice.
Of course Quiet had already walked down this path to ruin. He wanted to know why this man didn't go to the authorities. It wouldn't have been easy, but if he could get their help, wouldn't he save so many more lives? Of course when faced with the same option, Quiet himself had chosen foolishly to do it on his own. The crooked cop problem he mentioned, didn't really convince Quiet. Surely they couldn't all be crooked, and besides they were not the only authority to turn to.
Still, Quiet could not quiet his sympathy. This man and his six, were so much like he himself was and his three others.
He nodded his head up slightly and then down decisively, just once, after the man had finished spoken. Then he pulled out a business card, and bowed slightly, extending the card to the man.
In the end, The Quiet had decided not to join this man, and march with him into hell. However, he wouldn't stand idle and watch them march off on their own. He would watch over them from afar, and at the very least make sure, they had a place to retreat to.
On one side of the card, it read simply 'The Quiet', in plain text, centered, in the middle of an otherwise blank card. There was no contact information. If he could at all help it, he wanted to be the one to contact this man.

That was not what Raven thought would happen He expected the boy to teleport away as if to say forget it. "Well a this is a nice suprise." Raven said "Not sure I understand this card but I'll keep it The Quiet huh? Neat name." Well then Quiet, Saint Maria's is on the outskirts of New york on the west side You'll know it when you see it it's got that warm feeling to it." He said with a smile.

The Quiet sighed. The Quiet had introduced himself, in his roundabout way. He was hoping to hear this man's name, but he was obviously stressed with good reason, so Quiet let it go.
After the man finished telling him about Saint Maria, the Quiet nodded again to confirm that he understood. He returned the man's smile and extended a hand to him, to shake hands on it.
Quiet had just decided to support them from afar, so being on friendly terms was best. Although he remained adamant on not repeating his past mistakes by marching to war with them.

Raven took the man's hand and shook it. "I think even though you don't speak I think I understand what your saying through your motions." Raven said "Oh yeah I didn't give you my name wow." He slapped his forehead "Epic failure." He muttered, "My name is Raven." He said smiling.

Quiet nodded, when he finally got the man's name.
He turned away from Raven, stepping up onto the ledge of the roof. The drop was amazing, but it didn't phase Quiet. Hardly anything did anymore.
Raven. He seemed like he was going through a lot. His manner of speech, the way her carried himself, everything about him was uninspiring. It filled Quiet with worry and doubt. He couldn't believe this man was going to lead others into battle.
But at the very least, this man seemed like a good man. Most importantly, he saw injustice and was trying his best to do something about it. Hopefully he would become a better man after the trials he would surely face ahead of him, but how many lives would die along the way? The Quiet would tag along, to save as many lives as he could.
After a slight pause to take things in, he turned to Raven one last time to see if he had anything more to add. If not he'd take his leave.
