((Previously, on Mosh...))
It had been days since Angelina saw the mysterious stranger who offered her freedom, but it felt like she had been captive for years; she had no way of measuring time in her dark holding cell, and she was beginning to give up hope. Maybe he really was just another member of Acacia Breseis' fanatical coven, sent to trick her into giving them more detailed information. Maybe she never met him at all; maybe he was some kind of dream or hallucination. She grew so desperate to prove she wasn't losing her mind that she considered asking her guards about him; each time she restrained herself just barely. If there really was someone on the inside trying to help her, she didn't want the other coven members to find out about it.
So she waited, and every night she became more angry. She was angry with her mysterious friend, angry with the Breseis people, angry with The Academy...why hadn't they tried to find her?! She was angry with herself, for letting herself be taken and for hammering the nails in so many metaphorical coffins. Why couldn't she find the strength to resist these...people? Was saving herself and her family really worth it, when so many others were being targeted?
When Antonio came to ask her for more information, she threw herself at him, snarling. Angelina Pendergast had enough. She grabbed fistfuls of his shirt and ripped hard enough to tear the pretty material he was wearing. Why did he get such nice clothes? She hadn't been given a new pair since her capture! Her hands went for his throat. She felt so like strangling him that she didn't that he needn't breathe!
His eyes widened in surprise, and Angelina gave him a wicked smile in return. He never thought I'd fight back, did he?! She thought to herself, digging her nails into his flesh. Why does he look so scared? He's beat me so many times...this should be easy! She sank her teeth into his exposed chest.
His hands were suddenly at the back of her head. He seized her long hair and flung her off. "Enough!" He growled, as his attacker crashed into the wall. He attempted to repair his destroyed shirt, eyes blazing, and his backup burst through the doorway.
"Take your sweet time, did you?" He demanded of them, giving up on his shirt. "Tell Her that the girl has become difficult and will no longer cooperate." He shoved the two vampires aside and marched out the door. They gave Angelina looks of disgust before following suit.
She knew they were going to bring their leader in, but she didn't care! She finally got her hands on one of those bastards! And now, they were going to give her a shot at their leader! She cackled gleefully.
-----
Their leader was a stunningly beautiful woman with long, dark hair. She entered the room with an inhuman grace that was both enchanting and eerie; her expression was that of cold determination. Angelina shook with excitement as she rose from her position on the hard floor and lunged for the woman responsible for her pain.
She froze; suddenly, she couldn't move, as if something had taken over her body. She was forced back into the wall by some invisible force, and snarled.
"Little girl. I would not growl like animals at those who hold your life, and the life of your families, in their hands." The woman told her as she closed the door. Her left hand was raised; she had to be using some kind of Gift to detain her captive.
Angelina struggled with all her might, but she still could not move.
"I hear you no longer wish to have cooperate...whose life shall be taken first? Your dear mother? Your father? Can you imagine how betrayed they will feel, knowing you signed the death sentences?"
She moved closer, her steps slow and deliberate. Her head was raised high and her eyes were laughing.
Angelina still could not move. She gnashed her teeth together, as if preparing to bite the woman advancing upon her.
"You will tell locations of David and Rubella Turret. Little girl. We have been generous to you, but we can give you suffering. The decision is yours."
