[/font]History
Andreas and Seranda met while attending the Academy themselves. They are an endless supply of entertaining stories, and Dorian grew up on them. Andreas was born in 1850, his mother two years after that, and they grew up in the same society. Oscar Wilde was a cousin of Andreas', who heavily influenced their culture, and when they finally had Dorian, they named him after the protagonist of Oscar's most provocative novel. They were unsurprised to learn that Dorian developed cellular regeneration, though they were curious what his other gifts would be. Seranda discovered his second gift when he was thirteen. Dorian was something of a social reject, and he had a pet spider named Basil. She caught him catching flies to feed to it with karate-kid skills, and when she attempted to squish the bug, Dorian removed it from her smash-zone with lightning speed. She did eventually dispose of it when he brought it back during school break, but thankfully he didn't mind so much, seeing as how he'd finally made some friends.
Speaking of which, Dorian became close friends with Kenneth Cole Lorne and Jonathan Calder Empris in his third year at the Academy. During their shared physical combat class (Jon had skipped a grade thanks to his intelligence), they were separated into groups of three. Kenneth was being too loud in his group, so he involuntarily replaced the other boy Jon and Dorian originally had in their group (name long forgotten). The three boys were instructed to spar, one being the judge. So Jon and Dorian fought first, Jon getting his ass whipped. When it was Ken and Dorian's turn to fight, Jon watched as the match got more and more agressive. Ken was accustomed to winning, and every time he threw a punch, Dorian got out of the way. This understandably frustrated the super-strength boy, and his shots became more and more wild and heavy. Jon tried to stop the match, but his involvement put him in more danger. He was pushed aside, and Kenneth eventually did land a kick on Dorian, sending him right through a wall. He didn't move for a long time, and the professor was freaking out. Kenneth was devastated, though he would never admit it, that he'd lost control so easily. He was practically in tears when Dorian finally came to with a loud gasping breath. The two have been inseparable since, and Jon was always around so he too became good friends. They were an odd trio for a long time, but eventually their differences made for good entertainment, and soon they were in harmony with one another.
Ken and Dorian graduated from the Academy together, while Jon continued his education at the University. While Ken eventually enrolled at the University too, Dorian prepared for an eternity. He asked his parents what they did to entertain themselves. Andreas had made a list of every profession he wanted to try, and then ordered them from least dangerous to high-risk, in alphabetical order. Seranda occupied her time writing - she has an entire library full of her creations; every twenty years she changes her pen name. Dorian opted to take his father's route, and changed the list to suit his desires.
So Dorian became a bartender, which is his current job. He's actually very good at it, and although he doesn't need the money (his trust fund is practically bursting at the seams), he gets tipped very generously by his customers. Next on the list is chef, although he's had a pretty rocky start. He's been asking Jon for cooking lessons, and Kenneth has volunteered to test all the food he makes. Being half-djinn makes him immune to most sicknesses, but seeing as how Dorian has a stomach and liver that will always heal itself, it's not really necessary. It's just another excuse to hang out.

Personality
Dorian has never been the peppy cheerleader type. He's not quiet either; he's very opinionated and isn't afraid to speak up. He loves a good debate, as he's usually at the winning end of an argument. He's very witty, can think quickly on his feet, and he has a confidence about him that's almost arrogance. He enjoys time to himself, but he also likes company. He always has something to complain about, but he usually knows when to speak up or when to keep quiet. Because his reflexes are so quick, his brain works at the same pace, so he can look at a situation from all angles before he makes a move. He is very strategic and doesn't always choose the simplest, most obvious solutions. Dorian is also very passionate; anything he decides is worth his time is something he puts his heart and soul into. He spoils his friends and family when he gets the chance, and often indulges in luxuries he finds pleasing (cars, gaming platforms, flat-screen televisions).
He isn't naturally nice, though he's always polite. His words are commonly found laced with sarcasm, and more often than naught his witty remarks go right over people's heads (although most of the time he's talking to Kenneth, so this is understandable). The boy doesn't put up with bullshit, and will call you out on it if you're trying to pull the sheet over his eyes. He appreciates honesty, and if he can't be honest, he usually avoids the question by using distractions or answering questions with questions. He's very skilled at making people forget what they're talking about. He has an inherent charm, and he uses it to get what he wants. He's extremely competitive, and will fight for what he wants or what he believes in.
Appearance
His mother always had his hair short as a boy, but as he grew into his own fashion he kept his hair long. It is a deep brown, almost as black as his eyes, and has a natural wave to it. He styles so it's kept off his face. His hair and eyes are from his father, as is his jaw, but his nose, mouth, and subtle cleft chin are his mother's. His continuous regeneration keeps his sight 20/20, and his hearing is better than the average human being's.
He has a slender build to him, and as a young teenager he was undoubtedly 'scrawny'. But he's filled out over the years, and looks more like a man than a boy. He's lost the roundness from his cheeks; they're not sallow by any means, just narrower. When he actually does smile, he has two dimples on either side of his lips. He doesn't work out the way Kenneth does, but he does jog on a regular basis. After all, if you have to live forever, you don't want to live with yourself as a fat, lazy slob.
The clothes he wears usually carry designer labels, for vanity's sake only. He has no problem with other brands, but he doesn't usually shop for himself, and will dress in the clothes his parents give him. He prefers Italian shoes, but if he's dressed a little more casually, he'll stick with plain old Kenneth Cole (yes, he does make jokes about Ken worshiping the ground he walks on).
