She was out again.
Not that she was normally out; typically, she was in, and content to be so, though she was not content to be so. But this time was different.
"Jeremy! Jeremy...where we go?" She asked, eternally meek and awkward and afraid, looking around as if fearful a monster would jump out and snatch her up. She followed behind no one, clutching at the bottom of her usual funeral dress with both hands, as if trying to put them into invisible pockets.
She was behaving as if being led, but the street was deserted. There was no one around who could be called 'Jeremy.' There was no one around who could be called.
"Monsters come...monsters..." The brunette muttered worriedly, jumping at the sight of a streetlamp's shadow.
When she heard the sound of footsteps, she shrieked at the top of her lungs and threw herself to the ground, hands covering her head desperately.[/b]

Karmine had been walking around the city, plainly happy to just stroll in some of his free time. It was a fine day outside, when he spied a girl on the path up ahead. She acted almost possessed, as if something was pulling her. How odd, and so his curiosity said to approach her. And approach her he did, and then he covered his ears to block out the noise.
Now that was a reaction he wasn't used to. A girl threw herself at his feet, well that part he didn't mind, but the screaming was sort of a turn off. What a curious girl. He stepped up to her, wondering just what she had seen that scared her so. Crouching down he tapped the top of her head.
"Oy. Where's tha fire little lady?" He asked with a smirk. What to do, what to do? He hadn't even gotten her name out of her and she was already terrified, like a little white rabbit. Now what could have been the cause of all of this?

She couldn't help but look up when the 'monster' began to speak to her. She couldn't help but be curious, and that's just what got her in trouble all the time. Besides, she only knew one monster that talked, and he didn't sound at all like this one!
"Fire?" She chirped, tilting her head up ever so slightly for a timid look at her 'monster,' who really didn't look that indimidating at all. Weren't monsters usually angry? He didn't even look hungry! Maybe he wasn't so bad?
"No fire?" The girl replied, clearly confused. There was a fire? Should she run from it? What about the monsters?
She stayed on the ground, hands behind her head still, unsure what to do. Maybe if she stayed like she was, and he really was a monster, her position would protect her! After all, Jeremy said it would! Speaking of Jeremy...
"What we do?" She hissed to no one. Jeremy was super smart; he knew everything! Surely he'd have some idea what to do about the monster situation?[/size]
