The Cave had long since been cleaned up from Eve's and Rae's fight. The lycan had to pay a large sum of cash to make certain that her people did it in a hurry. And they'd managed to handle it within a matter of hours. It was amazing what a few zeroes would do.
The lycan had actually bothered to dress up some for this. Not a whole lot, as this only counted as a date on a technicality. Meaning that it wouldn't even be a date had Rae not coerced the other girl into agreeing. Even then, they were just drinking together. They might head out, but Rae doubted it. Why bother when they could get all the alcohol they wanted for free? Only reason would be to cadge drinks from unsuspecting people. Which was some fun, but not buckets of it.
Rae's hair had actually been curled, and it now hung about her face. She hadn't gone so far as to actually bother with makeup, though she rarely needed the stuff. Rae had opted to wear a skirt, rather short, tight, and made of leather. To accompany this, she'd elected for long boots with several straps. They encased her legs nearly to the knee, and, in the words of the giver of these boots: screamed "f**k me." She'd finished with a red halter top and a black leather jacket over it. Already she'd earned looks, and the bouncer had only smiled when Rae quipped about a date.
The lycan really did know that Eve wasn't the slightest bit attracted to her. Didn't really care, either. The dragoness was decidedly tough, and more than passingly attractive. Even if absolutely nothing came of the night, Rae would at least have fun flirting and drinking.

To say that Eve was nervous, disturbed, and a little bit sick was an understatement. But for once she had really dressed up, heh, not. Her jeans were only one size too big had rips in them and blood stains, and this time she wore her regular combat boots. The shirt she wore was a simple black top that was two sizes two small and the bottom was ripped off just above her belly botton, and the sleaves were ripped off as well. This displayed her flat abs and muscled arms nicely. She'd brushed her hair but had it tied back in a pony tail and under a page boy's cap.
She entered the completely fixed up club and glared at anyone who looked at her. Tonight she wouldn't care if her clothes got ruined, tonight was a date. A date she'd been backed into. Spotting Rae she paled so much a man near her moved to catch her as she stumbled on her feet.
"You okay?" The man asked his arms behind her back. She nodded barely breathing as she gawked at what Rae was wearing. The man didn't move away or move his arm. Eve turned reptilian eyes to him and he bolted like a fox with it's tail on fire. Rae looked...hot. Gulping she started over to the sex exhuming woman before her. This night was going to be interesting.
The big bad war dragon was suddenly more terrified than she'd ever been entering a fight. She really needed a drink.

Eve radiated nerves and terror, and Rae could pick up on that from a mile away. Here was a dragoness who probably fought and killed for a living. Had no qualms about consuming live people. Hell, she'd wrecked Rae's bar for a perceived insult. Yet the very idea of "dating" another woman nearly paralyzed her with fear.
Rae couldn't help but be amused.
She smiled as she pulled out a bottle and two glasses. One she set before Eve, the other before herself. Soon both were filled with the smokey red liquid from the bottle.
"Ye look nice," Rae commented, voice offhand and neutral. She looked up at Eve now, half-smiling. "Love th' show o' abs, lass. Though th' bloodstains are a wee bit much, aye?"
Rae's eyes flicked to Eve's jeans, and her eyebrows rose a little. "I tain't goin' ta fight ye again. Had ta nurse m'wounds last time."
She nudged the drink closer to Eve, knowing when someone desperately needed it. More words could wait until Eve loosened up a bit.

Ignoring most of the words that came out of the were's mouth she eagerly took the glass and downed it. The burning sensation made her take a nice deep breath which helped. Now she would be able to talk.
"Thanks, and you look nice too." Eve glared at her glass refusing to look at Rae again. She was awkward and embarassed just sitting there. At the comment of showing her abs her arm went to cover her exposed skin. It was supposed to look intimidating the ripped clothing and blood stainds. Now she felt like a trashy prostitute.
"The blood stains are necessary." Her eyes darted to Rae then back to her empty glass. She scooted the glass over looking away. Blood, pain, death, and screams she could handle. Romantic situations? Nope. She instantly turned into a bumbling fool.

Was the reluctance cute or annoying?
It was hard to attach the word "cute" to Eve in the slightest. The war dragon looked like she wanted to take the world by the throat and proceed to shred and tear it till it bled out. For that matter, it almost looked like Eve wouldn't mind doing that to Rae.
So it fell more into the realm of annoying, though Rae was willing to deal with it.
The lycan reached for the bottle and poured Eve a glass, then smiled at her. "Look, Eve, relax. Ye only have three reasons ta be worried. One: ye nervous because ye ken I'm goin' ta jump ye again. Did it once, an' tain't likely ta do it again, les' ye ask fir it. 'sides, I disnae rape lasses, I love 'em, or jus' plain f**k 'em.
"Two: ye nervous 'cause ye ken ye be straight an' ye disnae want ta mess wit' a lass like me. Ken o' tha' fir a while. Ye ever tried a lass? Lemme tell ye, they be softa, ken more like ye, smell better, an' ken exactly wha' makes a lass happy," Rae scanned Eve again, but made sure to make it a quick, passing one.
"Three: ye worried on account o' ye disnae ken I like ye, or ye dressed wrong or ye worried o' screwin' oop. Lass, ye d**m hot, even wit' th' whole 'I want ta kill ye' thin' ye have goin'. F**k, why did ye ken I tricked ye inta this? An' ye oofit is so bloody ye, an' hot on account o' it."
Rae leaned back now, smiling at Eve, "Look, ye jus' have ta drink wit' me an' put oop wit' a wee bit o' flirtin' fir a night. Then ye can jus' walk oot tha' door," Rae motioned to the door with her finger, "o' course, I'm hopin' ye at least like me by then, an' ye'll probably be wondering 'wha' if I'd actually done it?'"
Rae picked up her drink, knocking it back and grinning at the dragoness, "Bottoms up."

Staring down into her glass she listened to Rae her eyes tightening at a few of her suggestions. It was more like a combination of the reasons as to why she was acting the way she was. It had been years since she'd done anything with a girl, she knew she would mess up, and there was no way that she was going to belive Rae wasn't going to jump her.
"I'm sorry. I'm not good at the whole...uh, this." She waved her hand inbetween Rae and herself glancing at the were. "Fighting I can handle. Blood no problem. Pain grit and bear it. Relationship crap?" Utter and complete failure.
"It's not that I don't like girls, it's just been a while." Eve mumbled downing the drink as Rae tossed hers back. The night could either go well or it could go just as bad as last time. Personally she didn't feel like owing Rae anymore than she already did, and probably unknown to Rae one night of drinking wasn't making things even.
"You, um, look nice too. Um, hot and all. Damn, I suck at this." Eve covered her eyes wanting to just down the bottle already. Maybe then she'd relax enough for the night to be enjoyable. She wanted to have fun because fun didn't enter her life all that often, but it was like a hundred foot wall stood between her and her ability to handle relationships.
"So..if you want to have a good night. I vote you get me two more bottles of that stuff and see if I relax. Otherwise I'm not making any promises." Eve smiled and winked wiggling her empty glass in the air. She would at least make an attempt to have fun, she had after all trashed the place not too long ago.

Okay, so was Eve on Rae's team or what? At first, Rae thought she'd pegged it, what with the distinctly unfeminine clothing. Then, Rae had been convinced she'd jumped a straight girl when Eve had attacked her for a little kiss. Now Eve was almost saying she liked girls?
"Alrigh'," Rae ducked down, coming up with another bottle. She popped this one, and wiggled it at Eve, smiling. "This is one o' m'better traits. I love enablin' people."
She set the bottle down, then leaned over, looking up at Eve with smoldering eyes. "O' course I'm bloody hot. I even f**kin' dressed oop fir ye. I disnae wear a skirt this short jus' cause I like ta feel a wee bit o' a breeze."
She chuckled, pouring herself another drought from bottle. This time she just sipped the liquid, following her self-imposed rule of not getting hammered when attempting to seduce. Especially someone as skittish as Eve.
"An' keep tryin', Eve, it's hot as hell," Rae admitted. "An' disnae worry, ye really cannae screw thin's oop wit me, I'm wha' we like ta call a sure thin'."
Rae chuckled, playing with the edge of her glass. That was a bit of an understatement, really. Eve held far to much attractive for Rae to want to give up now. The physical appeal was nice, but the fumbling, the attitude, and the just plain awkwardness of it all. It made Rae regret promising not to jump Eve.
"So, Eve, how aboot we actually gab a wee bit, hmm?" Rae smiled now. "Fir starters, I dropped oota th' Academy, I'm a famous singer, an' I own this club. I like ta sing an' drink."
And do one more thing, but Rae was trying not to terrify Eve.
"Wha' aboot ye? Do ye do someit asides wreck bars an' drink hard liquor?"

Someone as strong as she was shouldn't be floundering this much when it just came to sitting and drinking with a chick. All she had to do was relax, drink, and talk to Rae. It wasn't that hard. Sure she'd be thinking that at any minute Rae might try and kiss her but she could still try.
Should she tell Rae that she still held her V card? Would that make Rae calm down a bit? Or would it make things worse? Sighing she took the bottle Rae had taken out and poured herself another glass. This was going to be a long night.
"Sure thing, huh?" And what if I don't want sex? Eve tossed back the drink her eyes going wide and she inhaled deeply. Her eyes focused on the glass as it filled with more liquid from the bottle she poured.
Did she seriously just say gab? People say weird things around here. Oh well, maybe it had something to do with her accent. Her dark grey eyes flicked to Rae and she smiled.
"I'm guessing you sing and drink at the same time." She joked swallowing the shot and poured another one right after. "I currently attend the academy, I'm not a famous anything. I'm obsessed with becoming the best fighter, and..."
What to give her, what to give her. Something that would throw her off or just mildly interest her? Well, she kept messing with her head so she might as well mess with hers a bit. This could go badly.
"And I don't plan on having sex until someone can beat me in battle." There, take that lesbian, rocker, wolf chick. Another glass gone and the next drink was a direct pull from the bottle. "Oh, and I like hard drinks."

Yes, sure thing. Eve should at least know what that meant, though the sheer mention of it unnerved the girl.
Rae studied Eve's face as the other girl talked. Her hands kept busy swirling the drink in her hands, still not trusting herself to drink anything else yet. When Rae found her eyes drifting to Eve's lips, she jerked them up, promising to try and behave.
"Good luck wit' th' fightin' thin', th' Academy should help ye there," Rae offered, saluting Eve with her drink. Since Eve was clearly going to go into backstory, Rae figured now would be a good time to take a drink. The lycan might need it, especially if Eve's life consisted mostly of "fighting."
Unfortunately, this meant that the lycan had a mouthful of liquid when Eve dropped her bombshell, and it sprayed everywhere as Rae reacted to the news.
"F**kin' hell!" were the first words out of her mouth. So Eve hadn't given up because if she had, she'd have to screw Rae? That explained why she'd been so adamant that she win. But... "Eve, tha's a really dumb idea."
Rae set her drink down and locked eyes with the dragoness. "Ye're gonna end up losin' it ta some bast**d jus' cause he can kick ye a**? F**k, lass. How th' hell ain't tha' bloody rape? Tha's jus', f**k, tha's jus' messed oop. Have sex fir pleasure, fir love, fir profit, wha'e'er. But offer y'self oop as a trophy ta some jacka**?"
Rae paused, looking at Eve, "Or is tha' jus' part o' it? If'n someone loves ye, they gotta fight ye as well as woo ye? Tha's a wee bit more smarter though..." Rae grinned again, "if'n I'd a kenned tha' I woulda tried a wee bit harder th' other night."

That wet over better than she hoped. As Rae spewed her drink Eve was laughing so hard her side hurt. The first words out of the rocker's mouth made her laugh even more. That was certainly worth it. Grinning widely at first it slowly faded the more Rae talked.
"It's not a dumb idea! Or messed oop thank you very much. It makes perfect sense." She growled glaring at Rae then glaring at her empty glass. "I'm not just going to jump in bed with anybody. If I get pregnant I want my children to be strong."
Letting go of her glass she knew if she kept holding it she'd break it. Her last statement had Eve glaring at her again. This girl just did not give up did she.
"It's not rape. I'd consent to it. It's not like that many people know about it anyway. And it's more like you for example. You flirted with me then kissed me. No go there. Like you said he or she had to defeat me while trying to, what did you say? Woo?" Eve rolled her eyes at the old term her finger tracing along the rim of her glass.
"I just think it wouldn't work if my partner was weaker than I was. They could be on the same level but I don't know. It was something I vowed to myself a long time ago." Pouring herself another drink she sipped it this time enjoying the feel of the burn.
"Another thing, I don't get into fights all that often with random people, excluding the last time I was here. You called me a coward." She pointed an angry finger at Rae her eyes narrowed. "It's not like I fight ever Tom, Dick, and Sally to see if they can beat me. In the past all I've ever fought were dragons."
Most of which were her brothers and she was no way in hell having sex with any of them.

"Ye have a point," conceded Rae, shrugging, "if'n ye plan ta reproduce. Ne'er really had tha' much appeal ta me. Still, I see where ye comin' from. I disnae ken if'n I like it much."
She shrugged again. If Rae had set something like that as a personal goal, she wouldn't have had nearly the amount of sex she'd gotten thus far. Most girls simply weren't as strong or fierce as the lycan alpha. Besides, Rae liked to look at other factors, such as curb appeal an' attitude.
"Ye ken, fir ne'er fightin' a lycan afore ye did a bang oop job o' it," she purred. Time to stroke the ego and try to bring that temper down a few notches. "I wouldna kenned ye havenae fought one afore. I'm nae one ta spar or anythin' though. I kenned I fought a dragon once, but 'e was a beastie wha' didnae ken very well hisself."
Rae chuckled, "I usually prefer ta jus' jump in an' start swingin'. Twas a good thin' I wasnae really peeved at ye then. Twould have gotten a lot messier."
Rae took another sip of her drink. She carefully watched Eve's face, gauging the other's emotional response. "So, do ye do anythin' 'sides fight? Listen ta music or somit?"

Eve nodded draining the rest of her drink stare at the bar and the people around her. This wasn't so bad, this was something she could diffinitely handle. Not remembering how many drinks she'd had she paused in pouring her next one. If she really didn't want to do anything with Rae she better not drink too much.
"Actually you don't fight much different than a young war dragon. It wasn't that hard. Plus I fought the same way I always do. Not too amazing." She slid her eyes over to look at Rae. Once againt the lycan was flirting with her, or at least that was the way it sounded to her.
Deciding to just screw not getting drunk she poured another glass and lifted it to her lips. Her eyes gazed down at the liquid and she stopped her brow furrowing. Slowly she looked at Rae's glass.
"Isn't that like your second glass? I thought we were supposed to be drinking to-ge-ther." She swirled her drink in front of Rae her eyes narrowed.
"Oh, and yeah I do stuff besides fight. I exercise, sleep, watch movies, eat, and play my drums." The words came out a tad bored trying not to put too much emphasis on the fact the she was just like any other teenager. "What about you? Sing, drink, and sex?"
Her eyes wrinkled as she smiled finally drinking what she'd poured. This was actually kind of fun. She grinned and laughed softly, who'd of ever thought she'd have fun tonight when she'd started out so scared.

"'ey!" protested Rae, leveling a finger at Eve. "I'm supposed ta be th' one pushin' th' drinks here. I cannae drink as much as ye, an' this stuff packs a bit o' a kick. 'sides, I get punchy when I drink ta much, an' tha' disnae sound like a good idea, wit' ye around."
Despite her protests, Rae still poured another glass for herself. This one she sipped, raising her eyebrows at her date as if to say "satisfied?" She then set it down, grinning at Eve.
"Ye pretty much got it in one," she admitted. "I do fight e'ery once in a while, an' I have mates tha' I associate wit', when they feel like claimin' me. Mostly though."
Rae took another drink, "I sing. I sing a helluva lot, an' I'm d**m good at it. Tis m'talent. O' course, yet ken m'other main hobby already, so we willnae go inta tha'."
She leaned forward now, "So, ye say ye play th' drums? E'er played afore a group o' people? I happen ta ken this club owner wha' loves ta give musicians a public place ta perform..."

Eve grinned pouring yet another glass, but for some reason wasn't worried about Rae anymore. Yes, the girl still might jump her at any minute or take advantage of her in the end. But maybe it was just the drink affecting her but she didn't really care too much.
"We're both supposed to be drinking, and if the drink is too strong then get something weaker." Sipping her drink she started getting the feeling of never being able to stop smiling. Something that sometimes happened when she'd drank enough.
"I'd really like it to hear you sing sometime." She swirled her drink not looking at Rae then downed the rest of the throat burning liquid. If she started saying stuff like that she better be too drunk to care, and at the moment she cared.
When Rae leaned in all Eve did was turn her head and met the lycan eye to eye. She then held up one finger and went to touch Rae's nose with it as if to say 'back off.'
"I have never played in front of an audience other than my brothers, and I hardly doubt I'm good enough to do so anyway." It was a hobbie that helped her hand eye coordination nothing more. At least Rae wasn't a complete b*tch, she seemed genuinely interested in her. Another smile creeped up and she glared at her bottle as she did so.
"Argh, stop smiling you idiot." Not realizing she'd said that outloud she grabbed the corners of her mouth and pushed them together in an attempt to stop the smiling. Once she was satisfied that she was no longer smiling she went to drink, realizing it was empty she poured her glass and then drank. How much had she had again? She shouldn't be this drunk, should she? Unknown to her well over half of the bottle was gone.

Something weaker? Probably not a bad idea, as this stuff could strip paint, and Eve was already drinking it like water. In fact, she looked quite buzzed. which please Rae greatly, after all, that's when she'd be most likely.
"I love at sing fir lasses," cooed Rae. She ducked down again, knowing she'd need a couple of new bottles soon. As she did, she started singing.
"This was never the way I planned Not my intention I got so brave, drink in hand Lost my discretion"
She popped back up, setting the bottle in front of Eve, making sure to pop the cork. As she did, she smiled and continued singing.
"It's not what, I'm used to Just wanna try you on I'm curious for you Caught my attention"
She tactfully ignored the comments, though her smile fell in a hurry. That could have been for her, or for Eve. Either way, Rae certainly didn't want to drop the ball now.
"I kissed a girl and I liked it The taste of her cherry chap stick I kissed a girl just to try it I hope my boyfriend don't mind it It felt so wrong" Rae stared directly into Eve's eyes then, taking a swig of the other bottle she'd brought up, "It felt so right," her tongue snaked over her lips, catching spare liquid before she finished the chorus.
"Don't mean I'm in love tonight I kissed a girl and I liked it I liked it"
She did a little dance, repeating the last line and finishing with another drink
