Love does not know the boundaries of species, and it is not uncommon to find one of mixed blood, known as a "halfer." Only vampires cannot cross-breed.
Each species has "dominant characteristics" that every halfer with that blood will have. Opposite effects, such as toughness and frailty, cancel each other out. The dominant characteristics of each species are listed below.
Anomalous effects are unique combinations that come from having two bloodlines possessing either long life or the ability to shapeshift. Halfers that have anomalous effects are listed below.

Half-Faeries: Are breathtakingly beautiful but frail and physically weak. Their lifespans are double that of the other species.[/color] will always take on the characteristics of the non-human parent.[/blockquote]
Half-Gifted: Will have at least one Gift.
Half-Demons: Will have all demon characteristics, including Traits. Their lifespans are double that of the other species.
Half-demons require administrator approval and a roleplaying sample showing the half-demon using his trait and/or his demonic abilities.
Half-Dragons: Are supernaturally strong and tough-skinned. Half-dragons will become extremely ill if they smell, touch, or eat dragonsbane, but it is rarely fatal. Half-dragons are rare, as they usually lose control and destroy the weaker species when mating.
Half-Djinn: Are extremely tough-skinned, strong, and fast. Half-djinn are always more susceptible to mental illness. Their lifespans are double that of the other species.
Half-djinn are rare and require administrator approval.
Half-Lycans: Are tough-skinned, strong, and can shift. Shifting is more difficult than for full-blooded lycans, and some half-lycans can only do so on the full moon. Can still communicate telepathically with a pack, but half-lycans are rarely accepted into one.

Faerie/Lycan: May have an Aspect.
Demon/Dragon: Can take dragon form and use breaths while in it. Live as long as a normal dragon.
Djinn/Dragon: Can take dragon form and use breaths while in it. Live as long as a normal dragon.
