Karmine had figured it was about time to start up 'class' again. So he had sent out a notice announcing that a class on physical combat would be opening, and here he was.
Now, he'd had better ideas on how to run a 'class' but they liked him to stay out of the way until asked, so he would do just that, and with a smile.
He had moved in a few bits of assorted weapons, so now it looked more like a small arsenal then a classroom. He had reserved a double classroom for this, ensuring that there was plenty of room for the students, as well as all manner of training equipment. Dummies, and targets and all manner of training devices. It would be an interesting day to say the least.
And with this, Karmine threw the door open with a flick of his wrist, letting the gust pull the door with a slam.
"Class is in session." He announced to the empty room, taking a drink from his flask and leaning back in his chair. Now to see who showed up.

Wild horses couldn't keep Cylo from Physical Combat lessons, on the all-too-rare occasion they actually occurred. So it should have come as no surprise that he was the first to arrive, between that and his heightened speed.
He had dropped everything he was doing when he was notified of class. The 'everything' happened to be something breakable, go figure, but he wasn't too worried about it. Things are expendable, experiences are not.
"Hey prof," he said jovially as he skidded to a stop and entered the room. "Anything exciting planned for today? Well, you know, besides fighting." He grinned and stretched out his arms thoroughly while waiting for the rest of the students to show up.

Of all the sessions Morgan enjoyed, the physical combat ones were far and away her favorite. Especially now that they'd gotten someone competent back in the reins. It was nice to be taught by someone who actually had more experience than she did at fighting.
Morgan walked into the room nearly smiling. She didn't immediately recognize Cylo, but he's grin made him instantly likable, so she nodded in his direction. Karmine got a wave, then a quirked eyebrow at his flask.
"You drinking because you're going to have to oversee students or what?" she teased. A smirk surfaced now. "I don't think they'd complain if you actually wanted to teach us something. I could certainly use some guided practice."
She looked to Cylo, "Don't know about you. Name's Morgan, by the way."
Now that she looked more at him, she recognized him as a fellow Almasian. Of course, that only helped a little. Just meant he was a prideful person. And that came in so many packages it was impossible to fully pin down.

"Three blind mice..."
They would hear her before they saw her; she was singing at the top of her lungs! Her feet made a soft tappity-tap she merrily skipped down the hall, providing her a steady beat to sing to.
"Three blind mice, see how they run...see how they run..."
See how they run!
As she turned the corner her long red cloak whipped about her feet. It was a little odd to be dressed so warmly, but she couldn't care less what other people thought of her! She liked the cloak, and she was going to wear it whether they liked it or not!
"They all ran after the...farmer's wife, she cut off their tails-"
I'll cut off your legs
She'd made it to the doorway now, and she observed her classmates habitually before entering. There was Cylo - that jerk - and some girl she didn't know. She didn't look so tough!
"-with a carving-knife!"
With an axe or a knife
She didn't look too threatening herself, in a pretty pink dress beneath a long red cloak with the hood drawn up. She looked like she walked right out of the story Little Red Riding Hood...except in her story, Red took out the wolf, and the woodsman, and Grandma. Silly old woman, keeping cookies from her! But she'd show them to underestimate her!
She frowned, and tightened the ponytail that was poking out from her hood. Though she was wearing a short dress, and a very long cloak, she took care to make sure her long red hair stayed out of the way, by tying it into a ponytail that lay on her shoulder. She could fight in a dress, but it was awfully distracting to have hair hanging in her eyes!
As soon as she was ready, she continued singing her merry song, skipping out of the doorway and into the room. This was her favorite class, after all, some boring-looking girl and a redheaded demon jerk wouldn't get her down! Maybe she'd even get to beat Cylo up?
"Did you ever see such a sight in your life-"
You'll never see such a sight in your life!
"As-YOU!"
She dropped her book bag to the floor with a thud. She focused so intently on sizing up her opponents that she hadn't looked at the front of the room at all! She just gaped at him for a moment, wide-eyed, her jaw dropped in surprise.
"YOU!" She said again, and quickly made her way to the weapons he laid out for class. She snatched up a dagger, not her preferred weapon but the absolute closest to her - and charged poor Karmine, swinging the blade like she meant it. And she did.
Kirien Melantha was pissed.

Karmine had, as always, not been paying attention. He was about to answer Morgan's question when he heard the thud of a dropped book bag and the all to familiar shriek. He turned to see a very familiar redhead.
Well shit.
The thought went through Karmine's head, and he had just enough time to hop out of his chair to dodge the attack. He whirled around, kicking the chair at Kirien.
"Oh come on! If you want to kill me, fine, but don't insult me by using a weapon you aren't any good at! I know I taught you better then that!" An onlooker might notice, if they cared, that Karmine's accent all but vanished. But most would probably be too absorbed in the fight.
"You wanna slice and dice me, then fine, I'm here and this is a class for it. But for the love of god don't embarrass both of us with this crap. Pick up an axe and try again!" He said, turning his back to her, what some would consider an unwise move.
"If you aren't giving your all, I don't see why I should either."

Oh great, Miss Murder is here!
You'll notice an intentional lack of use of the sarcasm font. This symbolizes Cylo actually being happy to see the girl, because it meant, if nothing else, that class wouldn't be boring.
And as if to prove him right, she decided to attack the Tutor. The ensuing grin threatened to split his face in two.
He reached out a hand sideways, in Morgan's direction, and said over his shoulder, "Nice to meet you Morgan, I'm Cylo." But he didn't take his eyes off the fight, not even for a moment. He was loving it way too much to miss even a blink's worth of the chaos.
In fact, he even picked up an axe and held it out to Kirien. Again, perhaps not the smartest thing to do, but he figured he was safe while she was after Karmine anyway. She seemed, to him, to have a pretty one-track mind.

Things had certainly picked up in a hurry. Morgan didn't immediately recognize the girl, unlike the other two in the room, but she was somewhat impressed by anyone who would charge Karmine. Also slightly nervous because the girl looked slightly crazed. Then again, that seemed to be somewhat normal around here, so Morgan tried to take it in stride.
"You know her, I take it?" she asked Cylo. Like the demon, she kept her eyes on the two combatants. She had noticed that Karmine's accent had slipped, but that didn't bother her. He could talk however he felt like talking, after all. what was more interesting to Morgan was the familiar way he addressed the little crazy one. It sounded like she was a personal student or something.
"Have fun with that!" she called to Karmine, smirking. Morgan did stay on the alert though. Karmine was a sneaky little bast**d most times, and this girl looked genuinely crazy.

Having gotten the notice for class she ambled into the room right after psycho girl with a knife charged at what she guessed was the teacher. The other two didn't seem bothered by it so she just shrugged and went over to them. If the teacher couldn't handle what looked a crazy six year old then he shouldn't be teaching the class.
"This will be interesting." She grumbled sidling up next to Morgan and Cylo. Her eyes went around the classroom and took in the amount of weapons and the decor of the room. At least so far the students there seemed respectable fighters, though she hadn't actually seen Cylo fight.
"So the midget is crazy? Or does she just really hate the teacher?" Eve asked jerking a thumb in the direction of the cloak wearing psychopath.

Kirien leered at Karmine. Obviously his reaction to her entrance wasn't what she was hoping for, and his tone only seemed to enrage her further. She'd fight him with whatever she pleased, be it a knife or an axe or tables and chairs!
She all but flew back to the selection of weapons their tutor had assembled for them to take, an accomplishment for her, considering her rather slow and graceless nature. Out of the corner of her eye she saw Cylo holding an axe.
For me?
The short redhead gave her fellow demon a genuinely pleasant grin, indicating that he probably went up a few pages in her books by making to help her without interfering. Maybe if he wanted to see her beat the living daylights out of Karmine, he wasn't so bad?
She thanked him by throwing her cloak on him, chucking her knife at Karmine - surely it would miss - and taking the axe from his hands. Her demeanor seemed to brighten just by holding her favorite weapon.
She wasted no time in charging Karmine in her typical berserker style, axe poised to take a long horizontal swing at him.
"I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU! I HATE YOU!"

Karmine looked over with a purely devious grin now. She was going into this with her all, that would make this a better fight then he'd had in a long time.
"Ok then! Class is in session! Morgan, pay attention to how this goes, guy and girl I don't know yet, you can fight if you want but don't expect too much instruction!" He said quickly, tilting his head to the side where the dagger shattered against the wall. That strength of hers was something else entirely. Which is why, with his frail body, he needed to make sure to never get hit by her.
When he saw her lift the axe he smirked more. "Going all out then? I'd be honored to return the favor." He said simply, drawing his thin sword. As he brandished it he burst forth large red wings from his back, with a black outline. He then raised himself off the ground ever so slightly and smiled broadly.
"Very well then! Let's begin this lesson!" He punctuated this with a flip to dodge the long horizontal swipe she took at him and then went for a full thrust towards her chest. He knew not to hold back on her, he probably couldn't kill her if he tried.

Kara walked in the moment Kirien was charging Karmine. What excellent timing. She slid to the side of the door, then silently slipped to the back of the class. Kara wasn't a fighter. She never had been and never would be. Sure, she had the desire to bash some people over the head, but that involved confrontation. If she were ever going to attack someone, it would be ninja-style. But Kara possessed none of the grace required to be an artful assassin, and would most likely trip and stab herself with her own throwing stars, knowing her. She'd already accidentally gored herself before. She was not eager to do it again.
Cringing at the grating noise of Kirien's screaming, the awkward teenager fell into a practice dummy. The dummy went tipping over and crashing into the ground, with Kara clumsily trying to stop it from doing so. It wasn't on a stable base like the rest of them, which was why it had been so easy for stick-thin Kara to knock it down. As soon as she saw it was hopeless to right it, Kara leapt away from it, pretending that it wasn't her.
She already had a bored expression on her face. No one would notice, she was confident in that. Kirien's explosion was much more interesting to stare at than Kara. Plus, the professor was fighting back. Even Kara forgot about her minor slip-up and stared in astonishment as Karmine thrust his sword forward, wings spread wide in the air.

Locke walked to the door of the soundproof room, and sighed.
Why was he here? Learning fighting? There were so many better things he could be doing...but.
He needed to learn how to defend himself, that was the fact of it. So reluctantly he came here, and even more reluctantly he opened the door.
To the screaming of voices and the smashing sounds of weapons through the air.
It looked like the Tutor was fighting, maybe a practice spar?
No, not a chance. His opponent looked far too angry to be a simple spar, unless he was really good at getting under her skin.
Locke wanted to be anywhere except where he was now, so he scurried, like a rat, off to the side to observe the fight.
What the hell could he possibly learn from this madness?!

It took the noise of a nearly tumbling practice dummy to draw Morgan's attention from the fight. As Karmine had hinted, watching the fight would be both interesting and important for Morgan. Though she doubted she'd learn much from the charging girl. Unless the berserker wised up at some point.
Morgan noticed Kara then, because of the noise, and simply nodded in the girl's direction. She certainly didn't look like someone who'd enjoy a physical combat class, and had most likely shown merely because she had to. Either that or she had some special interest.
Speaking of special interest, Locke had just entered. Morgan's eyebrows popped up as she tried to figure out why the learned Edengrowth would even bother with a physical combat class. Yes, these things were technically required, but people could always try and lie their way out of them. And Morgan hadn't been absolutely certain that Karmine had made this session required.
She waved over the cat-eared boy, figuring she could help him if nothing else. Someone had to make sure that the poor guy didn't end up meat for the crazed girl.
Civic duty done, Morgan refocused on the fight, eyes wide and eager.

"You know her, I take it?"
"You could say that. I'm not sure how possible it is to actually know her, but we've, er, met."
"So the midget is crazy? Or does she just really hate the teacher?"
"I think maybe it's a little of both," he hazarded, though for some reason it came out with a hint of something akin to admiration. There was definitely a smile on his face, anyway, though with him that's not much of an oddity.
Still smiling, and looking almost giddy, he caught the cloak thrown at him and folded it as neatly as he could manage. Which wasn't very neatly, due in part to the fact that he couldn't fold too well in the first place and also because he still refused to take his eyes off the goings-on for even a moment. He threw the bundle at the nearest weapon table and managed to land it pretty well.
He figured he was 'guy I don't know yet', but didn't feel like starting a fight of his own while he had that to watch, so he made no move to obey. As far as he was concerned, the teacher would be too busy to worry about his instructions being followed anyway. Besides, the one called Morgan got to just watch, so why couldn't he?
And watch he did.

She nodded slowly watching the two duel but soon got bored with it. Glancing around she saw a girl who looked oh so thrilled to be there, the genius kid who looked terrified, and Morgan who was enthralled the same with Cylo.
"This sucks." She might as well had gone to train by herself. Going over to a weapons table she grabbed two short swords then found a dummy a good distance away from the chaos. Eve poked the dummy with the sword sighing. Then deciding that she was there to train so she might as well train, though she didn't see the dummy lasting very long.
She started with some basic moves on the dummy still rather bored with the whole idea. Everyone else seemed content on watching the crazy midget and the fairy fight. However the dragon had actually looked forward to fightin with someone for once. Eventually she left the dummy and just worked on her moves alone.
