"Block out memories?" Locke asked confused. "About as much as the average person I guess. I think you don't understand the Gift quite well, let me explain. My mind isn't instant, I don't know everything immediately. When I learn something, it gets stored away, like with other peoples memories. With other people, unused memories deteriorate over time, and fade away, mine don't. Doesn't always mean I can recall them whenever I want, but I still know them. It's like a big filing cabinet or something like that. It's all in there, it can just take a little time to sort through it all."
He looked over towards Garion after his lecture.
"So yes, I suppose I do remember everything, even things I'd rather not to answer your next question."
Yes it was true that he could remember it all, every insult, ever stare, every glower and snicker. Even those he had been too young to recognize at the time. It was all there, and he kept it filed away in the back of his mind.
He'd empty those draws if he could.

Garion nodded enthusiastically, his mind unclenching with relief and absorbing this new found knowledge.
Garion had his mouth half open before his next question was answered. God he's good.
"The Memory Gifts really trip me up, what with the brain being such a conundrum. Add a superpower and there aren't enough psychology texts in the world. For instance, where does the information go? In the other 90% of the brain we use? Or is the supernatural brain just able to fit more neurological workings in the same amount of space?"
Garion secretly thought it would be somewhat annoying to be the best at everything.
