Inwardly, Sevestra cringed. Yes, if she was, for whatever reason, going to start killing people in the Academy, she probably would have killed him; the nice, easy, sleeping target. Apparently he didn't understand that this is exactly what she meant when she said she wouldn't have awoken him. Of course, there was zero chance she was going to bother explaining this to him.
"I'm 'into' getting the job done, by whatever means necessary," she informed him bluntly. "And I doubt very much you could help me."
Her tone of voice didn't change, yet her second sentence seemed somehow different.
This was likely due to the inner turmoil, and perhaps even embarrassment, that she felt upon remembering what her research actually was. Always more of a modern fae, Sevestra wasn't nearly as in tune with nature, and the elements, as most of her kind were. Glamours weren't a problem; she had them down pat, but when it came to elemental control, well...
A quick look at her reading materials would show titles such as Wind Whisperer: Fae and the Elements, Faerie Facts (How DO They Do It?), and Weather; The Omnibus Edition. Of course, they were a good ten feet from a quick look at anything on her table, so she was spared the possible humiliation that could result from that, at least for the time being.
"Are we done yet? I'm sure you have plenty of important... 'napping' to do."

Apparently she didn't want any help. Casey just shrugged, not really put out by it. While he still wondered why exactly she'd bothered to wake him up if she didn't want anything, he wasn't about to start pestering people.
"Suit yourself," offered Casey. He shrugged, then looked down at the titles in Sevestra's hands. Why would a Faerie want to read on the subject? That was like a human reading books on humans. For a few moments, he actually considered asking her about it.
"Believe it or not," he drawled. Turning he picked up a couple of stapled packets. He waved them at Sevestra, smiling. "I happened to have done research too. You really shouldn't judge people based solely on appearances."
His face changed, slowly turning into a near replica of Sevestra's, though the replica smiled.
"Then again, that is an understandable mistake," she/he offered, shrugging. Casey walked a few feet away, chuckling under her/his breath.
