Sealed in a purple envelope, attached to Eiji Almasy’s ‘the Hamptons, times a million, but not as big as his London home’ door was a card. One might think that, considering it was Christmas Eve, it was a Christmas card, but they’d be way off. If anyone but Eiji read it, they’d think the sender was out of their mind, but he would get it, and that was all that mattered.
The front of the card originally had a picture of two teddy bears holding hands. One was wearing a red bowtie and the other had a pink bow on its head, but that was before someone had taped a picture of no one other than Eiji Almasy and Kellan Callahan over the bears. The picture had been taken at some party (there had been too many to keep up with which one was which), and the two friends had the biggest smiles on their faces. The inside used to have some sappy love poem, but it had been scratched out and something else was handwritten. It read;
Eiji, I was looking through all the Christmas cards, but I decided that this one much more fitting. It’s hard to believe that we’ve only been friends for a year, but I know it’s just the first of many. At least it better be – you can’t get rid of me very easily. Thanks for being someone that I can always count on. You’re the best. -Kellan
She would have stuck around to make sure that he actually received the card, but her family was in town for the holidays and she was late for their dinner reservation. She would just have to hope that he got her card...

He was quite sure that Kellan Callahan was the sweetest person in his life.
Christmas Eve had been a little hectic. He didn't have any last minute shopping to do this year, maybe just some finalization's that could have been done earlier. He'd spent most of the day chasing down his best friend and the girlfriend, trying to remind them of the next day's party that was to be held at the Penthouse. He'd reached Draco too, but that had proved pointless because the other boy had cussed him out since he lived there as well, so of course he would know about the party; he was obviously not as retarded as Eiji was, who had been forbidden to call again till the next day. The 24th had also involved stopping by the Family home in France, and explaining to them why he wouldn't be staying the night with his Father like he usually did. They weren't quite pleased to hear that he would be spending his time with Elliot and her father instead, and had then proceeded to insist that he bring the girl over the next day. Eiji had said maybe the fifth lie of his life, and had promised he would while vehemently vowing inside to never bring Elliot around the shark's nest unless it was absolutely necessary.
It was some time in the evening when he returned home, somewhat late in meeting Elliot but he still had to pack his clothes and other essentials; his hair care products and exfoliating set. There was that small matter of bringing along her Christmas gift too, but he had yet to talk himself out of it and so it would, without a doubt, make its way to the bottom of his overnight bag. Tired and a little bit more scared than he should be, he jingled his keys until the one for the front door was between his fingers; and there, he found the envelope.
He hadn't forgotten about her; in fact, she'd been on his mind interchangeably throughout the day. He would have made an effort to stop by where she was if it weren't for the fact that all his errands had taken him to the other side of town and out of the country. There was a smile on his face as he plucked the envelope from the door; the one he liked to wear when no one was looking, and he thought it was okay to appear as young as he was, and as susceptible as he felt.
The first thing he did when he walked through his doors, was head to the living room and place the card high on the mantle. It was personal, and he would have preferred it if it was kept inside his room, but he wanted more to showcase it than keep it secret. A part of him was all fluttery, and he wished more than anything that he could be there when she opened her presents; a large dinosaur plushy and a Saint Christopher charm to add to the bracelet he got her.
He wasted some time before leaving the Penthouse. On the table near his pile of presents to be delivered, was an unfinished letter;
Kellan,
you shouldn't have I'm glad you were thinking of me You should have called, I would have met you Merry Christmas. -Eiji
