Ok, I was reading over the gifts...
And I saw Aaran's old friend Cellular Regen.
And I was curious as to the science behind it.
Technically, by healing at that rate, they would age more quickly because they can't control the gift - it's passive.
So, the cells would duplicate, and decay faster. Ironically, the better the gift, the faster the aging.
So how is it supposed to work?
See I had an idea for another gift. But your arguement will probably be that by having cellular regen, they'd probably have that gift.
Point being - how DOES it work?

Point being - how DOES it work? My take one it: Body continuously supplies the subject with new cells. Example: A cut on the arm would heal quickly, as the epidermis continuously creates new cells as old ones die. This would loosely apply to all inner organs, though it's likely that depending on the severity of the wound and which organ is damaged, it would take more time to heal. I'm no science expert. I see something cool happen and I'm sure there's a scientific explanation for it, but I don't explore it enough to figure it out. I'm not saying to just accept everything though; questions produce clarity!, but in a world where none of this actually exists, MOSh is ultimately a fantasy world where we can escape and be creative without the boundaries of real-world limitations. Of course, compared to other rp sites where they're in different worlds altogether, while we're still in our lovely Earth, our dogmas and stratagem are less fantastical and more sci-fi, which requires some sort of link to rules that already exist. If anyone else has their own opinion on cellular regen, go for it. This is just my interpretation of it.

I was just wondering because I kind of have an idea for a gift and stuff. But even witht hat explanation, the DNA would decay very very quickly, and they'd age more quickly. See, I think that a good way of implementing it would be (Really sorry for using other media as an example, when most will probably not have heard of it), Baccano! Having cells that regenerate themselves rather than create new cells. Because then the aging thing would be overcome - there would be no decay as it would be the same cells. My point is - that instead of body parts regenerating, having them just re-connect to the body would take care of the aging thing. But if that isn't the kind of thing you're looking for, then I think there is another way around it, and this would be able to cancel the aging thing with cellular acceleration, which is why I think that it should be a gift in it's own right. To make a complex idea really simple, having Cella that don't decay, by having DNA ends that re-build the useless data that stopps the aging process. (Aging is caused by DNA decay and this data at the end is useless , and so it gets lost instead of the valuable DNA. when the useless part at the end is lost, then the aging process begins.) I think the one show did somethign about it and it showed that Naked mole rats live for 30 years, which is a lot for a species smaller than a rat. These are jsut ym ramblings, and it would involve changing the gift to implement. Because, as it is, it works just fine, i see no reason to change it, other than to be precisely accurate. But, nonetheless, a Gift where the DNA ends re-build themselves WOULD be pretty cool. The person would never age past their peak physical condition. I am going to make a post in the suggestions board xD *sigh* sometimes, i think I know way too much, especially as my career choice has nothign to do with any of this

Do you know HeLa cells? Picture that kind of thing, but across the whole body. No DNA decay.
Cellular regens don't usually age past peak physically condition, the exception being those whose Gift doesn't develop until they're past their prime. So they've basically already got the peak physical condition thing.

I see... Kinda makes sense. But I'm no expert so I'll leave it up to you guys. iw as jsut curious as all.
