Hello all, prospective new member here with a few questions to solidify my stay.
So, there's a lot of information, plotwise, tossed at new members. While I could sit here for a few hours and let my brain drip out of my ears trying to put it all in perspective, as a seasoned RP'er, I know it's far better to simply get some members to fill me in on the need-to-know's, until I get familiar with the plot. As such, if someone could give me a short, even point form reply as to the really important stuff, that'd be super cool. Save me a few hours of lurking through threads. I'd normally badger the C-box for such but... There isn't one! D:
I'd also appreciate a little more depth into how the different races function outside of the academy. I can see the obvious about Vampires but... What of the other races?
I'm also finding myself confused as to what traits are still available, if any. I recall reading "One male and one female per trait" or something like that? Also, there is a varying amount of traits amongst some people, unless I'm just really off today. Do we get a choice?
Thanks in advance, I beg for pardons if I asked anything blatantly obvious. <3

Hello and welcome to Mosh! I'm Meg, nice to meet you! :D I replied to your PM, so maybe we can chat there instead of here?

No, it would be good here too. Even regulars need a dot-point guide sometimes. yo, what up :) I wish I had something worthwhile to add here, but I'm not so great wrapping up plots :/

Hmm. So plot-wise, I feel okay, but I'm not sure. There's certainly a lot to grasp here. Other than the plight of the Vampires, the plots of the Corporation, the uncaring Academy, the rebellious students and missing student, is there anything particularly noteworthy?

Well there was that one plot wi- *get shot in the forehead by Meg* Nevermind. I'd say you're pretty set. Minus the 'unnoficial' mini plots of all the characters, which can get confusing, but you'll learn them on your own. It took me about a year though, just saying.

We're just going to pretend that plot never happened. But since it's part of Kirien/Cylo's jailbreak mini-plot, I'll give you an extremely undetailed summary. There was this competition thing where a bunch of supernaturals were competing to see who had the best power. The winner would get a choice of three prizes: lots of money, an all-expenses vacation, or a big house. It was televised by a real-life company I refuse to mention, which we're all just going to forget about, because it completely totals the supernaturals being secret thing and thus, David Rand's Shadow Police plot. Due to absolutely disgraceful execution, the thing died and we said someone sabotaged it so it could not go on (the company claimed it was a gas leak). The contestants were given nothing for their trouble. In other news, it might be important for you to know who was involved in the last Academy plot, so if you run into them with Delacoix you'll know to/not to consider kidnapping them. Kidnapped students:Kara Belova (wandered into the corp's HQ and, after revealing the existence and location of The Academy, just about caused the kidnapping) Garion DeLuse Locke F. Herald Kiri HoneyWater (account deleted) Matt Ambrose (account deleted, but he's my character so he might yet show up somewhere) Morgan Cavan (account deleted) Academy rebels:Karmine de Arcadia (account deleted, but his roleplayer is still on here) Cylo (killed high-ranking NPC Stephens and a whole ton of other people) Kirien Melantha Raelena St. John (account deleted) Eve Stone (account deleted) Eryk Davidson (account deleted) Kennedy Cavan (account deleted, did not infiltrate The Corporation) Aaron Staar (did not participate in any of the fighting against The Corporation, but still infiltrated their HQ) Out of all the rebels, Karmine and Cylo did the most slaughtering, but Kirien butchered a couple people, as well. Cylo's probably the biggest threat, as he killed one of their high-ranking important guys. Let me know if I missed someone, older members!

My PC kill count is hovering just under 50. In one thread, the one I've so very proud of, I killed 17 PC's (one of which was an ally I made a martyr out of but... meh. xD) basically by myself.
17.
I haven't come here to feast upon PC's or anything. But I'm capable when I'm rather motivated. xD

Usually there are very strict rules about that sort of thing and in my experience roleplayers rarely permit their character being killed. Plus I'd feel bad!

Oh yes, it's not like I sit at my computer, plotting a way to massacre each open thread. xD
No, this occurred on a particular site that has "risk areas". Basically, if you post in those areas, you take the risk of dying. you aren't forced to post there or anything, and such areas were about 1/25 of the postable sections. No permission required to kill of a PC. So a huge plot thread popped up in this area, and I just grabbed the reigns. x]
They knew the risk. <.<;;;;;;;
Most of my kills have come from such. I don't go around plotting to kill everyone. Er. Usually.

Especially these characters that have been around for years with such interesting and involved relationships... Also I've had bad experiances with PC killing. My first time roleplaying ever I was killed for little reason other than they could after like a month. So yeah, I don't know if it's strictly prohibited here, but it's very Very VERY frowned upon. Ugh I sound kinda stuck up and snooty there XP EDIT: argh didn't see your above post... I guess that was alright then. Nevermind
