I maintain, you did an excellent job considering the time frame. I've spent hours on some and had them turn out worse than that.

yeah...Was pretty easy to do in the timeframe  Smeared the grey across, typed and outlined the text, put a gradient over it and turned the opacity down. whabam! |

I love the pic, but I'm kinda ambivalent toward the sig, really. And I know for a fact that some people hate it, so I wasn't even going to put it up for criticism.

Would it be too late to change Skye's gift? I was looking through the gifts that are up there, but didn't find the one I was hoping for so I chose the super-speed one. I originally wanted her to have something to do with day-dreams; the one responsible for putting thoughts in your head. The closest was the telepathy one I think, but I didn't want Skye reading people's minds. It would be like, the exact opposite of that. She'd be able to project what she's thinking to the people around her. It would start off as difficult to control who her thoughts are projected to, and how clear they are, but when she grows into her power she'll be able to shoot very clear images to very specific people, even long-distance.
I hope that makes sense, and I don't know what name it would have. I read that you could make up your own gift, and I don't think this is pushing it too far? It has disadvantages and benefits like the others... I'm not sure if it's been suggested and refused already.

Visual Exportation?
External Influence?
Outgoing Mental Telecommunication?

I just checked. That's the one with emotions. I don't think it mentioned anything about projecting images, unless maybe that's Stage 3? And it wouldn't be something that can be 'actively resisted', because it would be in your head like an idea rather than in your nervous system like a feeling. Plus for my idea, you wouldn't be able to see what other people are thinking (unless we included that at a later Stage), you'd only have one-way communication. You'd be like a telephone that only has a mouthpiece. |

Those ones sound better than my titles. Thought Projection sounds good. Mental Telecommunication sounds really technical like some of the others up there. Even something like Psychological Projection could work.

what you've described happens with Telepathy at higher stages, I think two. It starts with reading minds, then moves on to projecting things. If you've seen Heroes (I love referencing that show), then it's essentially what Matt Parkman has.

Hm... it can be very debilitating though, that's my real qualm. With the right projected image you can scar people or drive them insane. That's some powerful stuff to give out at first level. I suppose if it's uncontrolled and exhausting, it could be done properly. I'd still list it as telepathy though, and it would evolve into picking up thoughts. Trick is that she'd have a lot harder time adjusting to the thought picking up part when she finally got it (and that's the real downside to telepathy). I think this balances out well enough, did you have any commentary to add? |

Er... I can promise Skye won't go around scarring small children. Or anyone for that matter. That thought is actually sort of disturbing. I could understand that it would be difficult for her to adjust to the thought-thing. She probably won't like it at all.
An example of what I thought I'd originally use Skye's power for.. please don't laugh.
Skye shopping at the mall, talking to a sales associate at Guess. She's looking for a very specific hand bag, and while she's describing it, she sort of subtly plants the image in the worker's head. Yayy! Skye gets her Guess purse.

So for now, she can project images, but not for long and it's harder to do things she's never seen before. And like all Stage 1 peoples, she lacks control. Still can do the purse thing as you described. And she picks up thought reading at Stage II. (Makes note to go change Gift description ASAP) |

What is "Spatial manipulation, self?" And "Gravitational rejection, self?"
If we have two telepaths who are senders, and once receiver, should telepathy be locked? Or only if there's three of each type?
Should it be shapeshifting, or shapeshifter? Pyrokinesis or Fire Control (and so on, for the other elements)? Increased Muscular Growth or Super Strength? Gravitational Rejection or Flight? I'm referring to what we call various gifts, as well as how they're listed under characters (*Flight? *Gravitational Rejection?).
What's the difference between a faery with lightning control and a faery with energy control? Are they the same thing?
More questions later, forsure. :P

Teleport yourself, make yourself fly. As opposed to Teleport others, make others fly.

I agree with this. It's confusing. The same goes with the Earth/Forest Dragon thing.

Apparently faeries with "Energy Control" can -only- control lightning, because any other form of electricity isn't 'natural'.
