If Karmine was smart or stupid was hard to say.
On one hand, he knew Rae was a Werewolf, and he had gotten hit by her once before. And it was not a happy experience. On the other hand he also knew from his sister that sometimes it was better to let a woman hit you then to make them even more annoyed by dodging it, that just served to intensify matters.
So Karmine decided to be a man and take the shot, get it over with quickly. Hell, he deserved it.
And the punch connected to his shoulder, and Karmine's chair leapt up off the ground. The chair toppled over, but Karmine wasn't so lucky, flying a good 15 feet before skidding on the ground, rolling into a heap. His hat floated down to the club floor like an autumn leaf, but never touched down due to his priorities. The hat floated on a current of air and reached his hand, which was currently occupied with relocating his shoulder.
With a rather sickening crack Karmine winced, and stretched out his shoulder. Yeouch had that hurt! Ah well, he deserved it.
Standing up a little slowly, he observed Rae. He seemed to have hit the right button, and she was back into the swing of things again. Now to stay out of her war path, for better or worse, until this resolved.
The pain in his shoulder demanded more antiseptic, and he was more then happy to supply it.

The sound of Karmine crashing about in the club amused Rae, and she grinned. Said grin was soon turned on the poor coed, and it only served to unnerve her more. As if that weren't enough, Rae's hand had slid to the girl's bottom, and was holding her there by that tender bit.
"I disnae suppose ye be th' sort wha' kisses lasses?" Rae guessed. The girl shook her head nervously, her eyes darting away. Rae turned slightly, noting the small group of girls who sat at a table. They were all chatting, and looked relatively self-involved. A couple did glance at Rae and her prize, but none of them made any move to go help.
"Well, I'll show ye th' error o' ye ways, an' ye can tell e'eryone ye kissed a rockstar," Rae suggested, squeezing. Darting forward, she kissed the girl hard and fast.
Since the coed hadn't expected it, she simply tensed in Rae's arms, not moving for the duration of the kiss. When Rae finally broke away, the girl remained stiff, staring wide-eyed at the rockstar.
Chuckling, Rae slapped her hand down on the bar, her ordered drink appearing. It was an oddly fruity concoction, a brew for giggling girls as opposed to hardened rockstars. Grinning, Rae slid the drink in front of her latest conquest and slid the girl into a seat. Rae leaned forward, whispering directly into the girl's ear.
"Tha' was one kiss, an' twas short. If'n ye want more, jus' stay here, an' I'll be back," Rae licked the girl's ear, watching her shudder. Still chuckling, she began sauntering back over to Karmine, figuring she should settle up with him before disappearing into a back room.

Karmine greeted Rae's return with a small series of claps.
"See there! That's tha old Rae I know! Seize life, an the lady, without second guessin ya self! You just needed a push, but tha bad thing about pushes."
He gestured to the still overturned chair behind him. "Some old bloke said that whenever ya push something, it pushes back. Don't think he expected some things ta have such a mean right hook." He added with a wink.
She was back to normal, or as normal as she had ever been. Getting people out of funks was something Karmine loved to do. Even when they didn't know they were in funks.

"Tain't like I changed tha' bloody much, Karmine," Rae replied, rolling her eyes. She also snatched a drink from a nearby party goer, arching her brows at him and daring him to say something. Of course, he didn't and just slouched away, muttering angrily.
Rae swigged the drink, and closed the rest of the gap between her and her friend. "I jus' have bloody responsibility now, an' it f**kin' sucks."
Finishing her drink, she shook her head, handing it off to another nearby party goer. This one looked excited, possibly because he now possessed something that had touched the famous lips of a rockstar. "Keep havin' ta play ma fir m'mates. First Kennedy tries ta drink himself inta stupor, then Eryk goes f**kin' nuts. Cannae be m'self if'n I have ta patch up me mates."
Rae smirked and rolled her eyes. "Jus' temporary though, I assure ye. An' ye caught me in m'doldrums, mate."

"Just a bad time eh? Well sorry bout that, if I were here when Ken went all crazy on ya, Id have been more then happy to beat some sense inta him, but alas these things are not to be."
"Dunno this Eryk guy, but if your looking aftar him, he canna be all bad eh? It's been nice ta see some familiar faces, and even some more drama among us wingly people, but that part is something I'll get myself kicked 'round for, so keep that under your hat...well you dun wear a hat, but ya know what I mean."
He snickered, taking another drink. He hadn't planned on getting drunk tonight, but the soreness in his shoulder spoke otherwise. "Well, supose it's a good thing you didn't get weak in your time off."

"O' course nae, someone had ta keep thin's in line. Even did m'civic duty," Rae chuckled. Her "civic duty" had involved beating up a group that hadn't agreed with Academy policy. She'd gotten her record cleaned, but that didn't make the law any less weary of the wild Lycan leader. "Eryk an' I formed a pack o' sorts. Tis small, but it do."
Rae shrugged. Since Karmine was clearly okay, and had been more or less caught up on the conversation, her duty was done. Her eyes drifted back to the bar, and she was pleased to see the coed still nervously waiting for her. Apparently someone's interest had been piqued. Then again, Rae knew her way around a lass.
"Well, since ye be doin' alrigh', I ken I be focusin' on wha' I do best," Rae clicked her tongue then jerked her head, "or who. Ye ken, whiche'er."
She smirked, "Feel free ta drink ta ye heart's content, mate. An' I'm sure I'll see ye around."
With that, Rae nodded, then headed back to her latest prey. Her walk had the familiar gait of a predator, and one could almost feel sorry for the girl.
Almost.
