Make me believe you. Sitting there listening to her speak through the door he felt like somewhat of a jerk for saying what he'd said. But she deserved it for playing with him like the boy who called wolf. Mess with him, mess with him, and then when it was actually real did she honestly expect him to believer her? This time however was different he could hear it in her voice which only lead to make him feel like a scum bag. Why did she have to be to frustrating, and confusing, and just plain difficult?
So she literally had no one to turn to now. He was her last choice for people to turn to but at least he was a choice, he guessed. Tucking his chin down he peered out over his arms at the door wishing she'd just go away. Life had been so simple before her. He got chased by bullies, beat up then was left alone till the bullies wished to pound on him again. Other than that he lived in peace. Now she was there to terrorize him. To fill his empty life with her craziness. A part of him liked the fact that she'd come back, scratch that, really liked it. But another part was terrified she was going to rip his heart to pieces. Literally and figuratively.
The door creaked open and he jerked his head up cursing to himself for not locking the stupid thing. Her words made him glare especially when she made it sound like a challenge. He stood quickly continuing to glare at her as she continued to speak. She was a singer? Blinking he tried to imagine her as a singer for a moment then snapped out of it. His gaze narrowed for a moment as he ran through the possibility that she was still messing with him by saying that she wasn't messing with him. Was she really that cunning? Or was he just that paranoid? Time to find out if she was just talk or if she could walk the walk.
"You mean everything you say? You can't keep your hands off me, I look great in a towel, I'm a real good kisser, and you missed me. All that crap plus the fact that I'm not your toy?" He grinned impishly and stalked over to her as she slid to the floor. Kneeling he put a hand on either side of her hips and leaned in real close. "If you mean it. Prove it."

As Jay crept closer Aponi peered up, a sullen expression on her face. He placed his hands around her wait and a shiver tingled down her spine, and she sharply exhaled in, her cheeks going rosy. She was hardly being manipulative now, was she? This was all Jay. Rather, it was at the moment. Not for long, she predicted.
He wanted her to prove it? He was really asking for it this time. How was she supposed to stop herself from doing something that he probably wouldn't like very much, if he was simply handing himself to her on a platter!? It was so stupid! Why did he complain if she did and said these things to him, and then just asked for more?
"Jay, didn't your mommy ever tell you that if you summon a demon, you should never break the seal? Because you just broke the seal." Of course - she was talking metaphorically. She had no idea about the intracacies of demon-summoning, but traditionally, it consisted of a ring of chalk around the demon and the summoner. If either ring was broken, the demon was free to eat the caster. Or, that's what popular culture believed. However, Leigians rarely ate people. People tasted naff.
"And now you've broken the line, you should really reap the consequences." She glared at him with a wicked grin, her eyes sparkling. Oh, she'd have so much fun with him. She leaned forward. "I'll prove it." She smirked, pushing him on his back, and running her hands up and down his chest, and up onto his face. She slowly crawled on top of him. Once she was certain that he wouldn't be able to wriggle out from under her, she leaned in really close to him.
"What was next? Oh, yes." She said, quickly tearing his bathrobe off of him. "You see? I really can't keep my hands off of you, and I was so desperate to see you without a top on look what I ended up doing. Believe me yet? Oh, no!" She was really enjoying this. Especially as she had every right to. "I still haven't proven how much i think you're a great kisser." She chuckled to ehrself, before leaning in, and pressing her lips against his. She had the fingers of one hand curled around his hair, and she was gripping his hand tight with the other. After what seemed like a long while, she withdrew, and stared down at him with large dark, doey eyes.
"And that is how I can prove that I missed you." She said, squeezing his hand once more. She sighed, and set her jaw firmly. She lightly sprang to her feet. She'd proven what she had to. Hm. She loved seeing jay squirm. She stepped slightly to the side of him, and poked him int he ribs with her shoe.
"Get up."

Crazy is fun.
“My mommy never told me much of anything actually, but I’m sure you can teach me.” He grinned having no clue as to what in the world he was doing. Well, that wasn’t exactly true he wasn’t a complete idiot. A voice was telling him exactly where he was most likely steering, another voice told him that she would never go through with it, and when he was pushed down yet another voice yelled in his head ‘HELL YES.’ He hadn’t expected her to all the things that she was doing but he knew that if he pushed she’d push right back. When she ripped the robe off from his top he was so glad that her being on top of him kept the bottom half of the robe wrapped around his waist. To say he was surprised would be the biggest understatement his eyes going wide, face pale then bright red, and his skin suddenly felt like it was on fire. Finally her words started sinking into his brain and he opened his mouth to- to what? Protest? When this was the best moment of his entire life? He’d just conned a girl into kissing him again, plus some other very enjoyable stuff, but- and they were kissing. As soon as their lips met he lifted his hand to gently cup her cheek then delved it into her hair. Leaning up into the kiss and with his right hand he gripped hers just as tightly. The first time in his life when the fire came screaming into his veins he accepted it sank into the heat and smiled when it happened. Everything felt amazing and for once he actually felt like a dragon. When she pulled away he met her gorgeous eyes with a wide grin and bright eyes. “You taught me one lesson I won’t need to be taught again.” He scooted up as she stood propping himself up on his elbows. Flying on cloud nine he couldn’t stop smiling and he felt incredibly drunk. “I think that was the best proving me wrong that I’ve ever had. I vote you prove me wrong all the time.” Jay glanced at her foot then back up at her. “If I get up does that mean I don’t get to be pushed down again? Because I think I prefer laying down here. It is way more fun.” The voices were back and even though one of them was trying to be his normal angry self the others were dancing and shouting so loudly he could barely hear them. He was going to let the crazy happen for once just to see if it would make him happy, so far it was making him downright giddy. [/blockquote][/blockquote] ((ooc. ^_^ sorry it took me so long. have fun))

Aponi looked at him, a stupid bemused look on her face. He enjoyed it? What happened to his protesting. All his name calling? What sort of sick freak wanted to make out with an old hag? And that stupid grin on his face. Maybe she didn't need him to say. He hadn't exactly stopped her, and he'd brought it upon himself. And he had been gripping her hand pretty tightly. And blushing. And she was sure she'd felt him pull her closer.
This was what she got for meddling with the ambitions of virgins.
It just wasn't healthy. No, not at all. She sighed, and looked down at him, half naked, a bathrobe barely covering the half that wasn't supposed to be naked. And there he was, lieing there saying the most obnoxious and assumptious things.
Aponi smiled sweetly, and knelt down.
"Awwuh, Jay, sweetie, did you enjoy that?" She asked, in the nicest, warmest, kindest voice she had. "Well cut the crap."She said, sharply, slapping him across the face. Her own face had dropped into a deadthly pale expression. She was not to be messed about with. Especially not by some stupid kid. She stood up once more, and furrowed her brow.
"If you really want me to teach you a lesson more often, you must be rather twisted." She said, smirking. "I will teach you how horrible the world is, and how you should speak to people, and if you do not listen to me, then you will be punished." She said, the satisfied grin turning to anger. "'Cause Jay?" She said, dropping back on top of him. "You don't know how to talk to people. And especially not to ladies." Aponi leaned in closer and closer so that their forheads were pressing against each other.
"First you act like a jerk? And you complain about being messed with and now this? Jeez, kids these days are such creeps."

Back to my shell.
When she knelt down again his eyes went wide he had honestly did not expect her to come back down to him. Then she started talking and his face went white this was so not good. Yep, slap, not good at all. Rubbing his cheek he blushed profusely bowing his head feeling more like an ass than he’d had in a long time. While she spoke he felt the fire in his veins turn to ice and the same old emptiness rise to the surface. His eyes grew cold and he tugged his robe back onto his shoulders. Expression carefully blank he kept his mouth firmly shut because he knew exactly how horrible and cruel the world was. He’d just thought he’d seen something different in her.
He leaned away from her as she leaned forward no longer wanting to play. If she couldn’t take the same thing that she dished out on anyone else that was her own damn problem. “Such a freaking hypocrite. You invade everyone else’s personal space, use them, manipulate them, and rub your perverted self all over them. But if anyone actually decides to play back you slap them for it.” His voice was empty of emotion other than the coldness that filled his chest. At her next words he was officially done.
“If I’m such a creep, such a jerk, then get the f*ck out.” He shoved her off and stood leaving the bathroom as fast as possible clinging to the robe as he went. If she could flip her emotions around like a revolving door then so could he. Letting the robe fall to the floor he tugged on a shirt, pants, and a large hoodie making sure to cover as much skin as possible. He didn’t even care if she saw anything, not anymore. With a swift movement he jerked up his hood and tugged his sleeves down over his hands. “The next time you decide to miss me decide whether you want me or not. Until then piss off.”
Not bothering to look at her he crawled up on his window seat pulling his legs up to his chest sinking into the cold. The fun thing about being reptilian was that you could get cold really quickly. Tucking his head into the crook of his elbow he felt rather comfortable all prepared to just sink into a daze. If she stayed then she stayed, if she left she left, either way he was done playing her stupid game. When she figured out what she wanted from him he was pretty sure she’d tell him. Until then he wasn’t going to be jerked around anymore.
Weird…I’m craving charcoal… Running his tongue over the inside of his mouth he realized with a start that he could taste her. He buried his face into his arms gripping his uppers arms swallowing as much as possible to get rid of the taste. It wouldn’t go away so he did the first thing that came to mind bite his bottom lip until blood flooded his tongue. The sweet coppery taste soothed him instantly where it usually drove the rest of his species into a frenzy. He rolled the blood in his mouth but like most mouth wounds the bleeding didn’t last very long. At least he couldn’t taste her anymore thank goodness for the small things.

Aponi's face was burning. Jay was sending her out? He was the one being a perverted little kid! She was just playing by his rules! Decide whether or not she wanted him? She could jollywell miss whoever she god damn liked, eve if she didn't want to constantly be crawling all over them just to show them how much she missed them! She liked Jay. A lot. His grip on reality was firm, and he was one of the first people to have taken a stand against ehr... ways, when too many people had just given in. For her, it felt like he was willing to fight for who she truly was, instead of falling for what was on the surface. That was a reason that she admired him so much. Maybe he'd never seen past the surface? Maybe he was just a kid that didn't want anything from her, and lived his privacy, and jsut didn't want a dead demon on the floor. But, no-one could be that much of a loner.
She was already very confused. And now he was kicking her out? She hadn't exactly given him anything that made her deserve to stay, in fact, she realized now how much of a bitch she had acted towards him. But then again, she had had perfectly good reasons behind everything she had done. He just drove her crazy.
She watched him dress - it was obviously a sign that he was intending to wrap himself in a cocoon. But she didn't want him to be wrapped in a cocoon. She likes Jay as the catterpillar he was, and dreaded the kind of monstrous butterfly he would become if he was left feeling miserable. She saw him tuck himself away in a corner. She sighed. If only tucking yourself into a corner solved anything. She had found out during the past week, that it didn't even work with the use of alcohol. But she guessed that Jay never tried that, partly because he couldn't buy alcohol. Partly 'cause he wouldn't want to. Then again, lots of kids these days drank lots of alcohol. But Jay wasn't a regular kid. In any way.
Aponi cautiously approached him, to see him bite his lip.He was self harming now? Of all the rotten lousy things to do! Not only was a breaking a perfectly sexable, useable young man, but he was making ehr feel uber guilty about being so horrid. That... wasn't allowed!
"Jay! You cutt hat out this instant!" She said angrily, leaning in, and attempting to force her hand in his moth to stop him biting himself. "Don't try and make me feel guilty by self harming. i don't care what shit you're going through!" She said, her voice rising in pitch steadily, before she realized she was doing it, and blushed a deep red.
She pulled her hand away, and went to sit opposite him.
"We're stupid." She said to him, sighing. She leaned her head against the window, and felt the cold press against her warm cheeks. This had been one hell of a week.

Clearing these murky waters takes two.
It was so quiet that he half expected to find that she had left. It served him right for acting like such a flipping jerk to her. All curled up nice and comfortable all prepared to sink into the emptiness he tasted her. But once the blood flowed over his mouth it was better, until she started freaking out on him. Jerking his head up he could of sworn that she'd left. Eyes wide he flailed his arms as her hand came close to his mouth and he could taste her again. He snarled and jerked away from her not knowing what the hell she was going on about.
"Dammit woman! I'm not harming myself! Blood calms me!" He yelled pushing at her to make her get the heck away from him. "My entire mouth was filled with your taste and it was driving me crazy. I had to do something to get rid of the taste and that was the first freakin' thing that popped into my head. I'm not harming myself because of you!." Cursing a bit more he stood and started pacing his room his body a bit in shock from jumping from a near tranquil state to freak out.
"We're stupid? How-Oh..." He blushed and stopped pacing for a moment to stare at her. "Okay, where the heck do we stand here? You're like...twenty times my age or something, and we both drive each other crazy." Raising his eyes filled with fire and defiance he took a step toward her. "I don't want you to die. I don't want you to leave. When you touch me my skin turns into molten lava. You say things that piss me off to no end, and I think you're gor-gorgeous. And I most certainly don't want you just for sex."
He moved to sit across from her again and for the first time since he'd met her his emotions weren't rampaging. This time he wasn't going to back down and he wasn't just going to keep his mouth shut. They needed the air clear between them and no more confusion. If they were going to try to be friends at all they needed to get this out of the way. "Sorry for acting like an ass earlier but I'm a sixteen year old boy, and that was that only action I'd ever seen." Biting his lip again he darted his gaze to the window then back to her. "I also thought you'd like it if I taunted and played back...guess I was wrong."

He enjoyed the taste of blood? That was... weird. Real weird. But hey, he was a dragon after all. She pulled a face and blushed. How assumptious and big-headed of ehr. She really had to think before she spoke.
Like that was ever going to happen. She sighed and gazed at him. They were like an old married couple. No. There was no extreme sexual tension between an old amrried couple. Just the regular everyday kind of tension. Unfortunately, Jay and Aponi were cursed with both kinds. SHe looked at him, and prepared herself for another rant as he geared up to start talking.
He, really thought that way about her? She felt her insides melt a little, and her cheeks flushed once again. She knew she was probably wearing that stupid smile she had whenever someone said something like that to make her feel gooey inside. That hadn't been since high-school though, and the last guy that had said something like that, she beat him up for being a wuss. Maybe she should tell that to Jay to scare him? No. She'd messed with him enough.
Painfully aware that he was staring and her, and he wasn't talking to her, she immediately put her talking hat on, and focused sharply on his face.
"Jay, it felt uncomfortable. It isn't you. I'm tired of guys not seeing past the body, and actually caring about me for who I am - I always thought you were different..." She said trailing off. "And, I still hope you are." She beamed, her face almost shining. "And, Jay, I have noo idea where we stand. I'm also roughly nine times older than you. Don't push it, kid." She winked at him, hoping to god that he'd take it as a joke.
She got up, and walked towards him, and stepped behind him, wrapping her arms around his waist, and resting her head in the crook of his shoulder.

The door swung shut and the lock clicked tight. After finally calming down he realized that he'd let out the bit about the blood and hoped that she didn't push that issue. The blood thing was something he'd never told anyone and didn't plan on divulging to anyone any time soon. Then he had to go and be mushy and spill some more beans to her about her. It wasn't like he'd just confessed some undying affection toward her, but if they were going to try and co-exist he needed to know what was going on between them. If it was just messing with his head, playing games, and nothing more he really needed to know.
Uncomfortable...it isn't you.. She was seriously giving him the it isn't you it's me speech. Sitting there staring at her he kept his face as blank as possible while in the inside he pulled away from her. He was different she didn't want any of that stuff from him. Maybe she only liked big muscly guys. Well, now he knew that it was nothing, just her playing with his head. As she stood and walked around to hug him from behind he remained sitting not knowing what to do. This was nothing just a friendly hug saying "Sorry, you're just not my type."
He rubbed the inside of his bottom lip with his tongue barely getting any hint of blood. It would heal fast it always did. Bowing his head he stared at his hands in his lap for a moment before retreating them into the hoodie's long sleeves. "So...did you need anything? Like...cause you had a bad week and all. Is there anything else you needed?" His voice was soft barely above a whisper his eyes not moving from his hands.
"I mean sure I can't get you alcohol, or cigarettes, or anything else out of my age range. But I have bottled water, food, and a bed you could sleep in." He nodded toward the bed when something clicked. "Oh, and don't worry. I'll sleep on the floor." No way would he go anywhere near that topic she obviously didn't want that from him. Even if she could of fooled him with the way she'd kissed him. After all the drama that week and then this he was tired and just plain sick of it all. Why couldn't he of had his peaceful afternoon in seclusion? Stupid...hag.

Aponi frowned at his question. Did she need anything? Yes. She needed someone who would love her and look after her. More importantly at that moment in time, she needed Aaran. She needed life force, as a kiss wouldn't keep her going for very long, but she had secretly taken a little more every time she had made contact with Jay. It was survival instinct for her. He could give her a few moments of precious life, so that she could find someone acceptable to accept a donation from.
"Not particularly. I'm fairly low maintenance. A bottle of wine and a kiss every so often, and I can go for weeks, y'know Jay..." She said, slowly changing her shape to look like her seventeen year old self again. She walked around and placed her head on Jay's chest.
"Anyway, you still haven't told me your full name." She said, a slight anger rising in her voice. Who the hell did this kid think he was, getting away with kissing her twice, and not even telling her what his name was. It made her feel cheap. And Aponi Lebennon was many things, but she was not cheap.
"I mean, what sort of idiot calls their kid "Jay" and nothing else. Hell, you know all about me! I don't know squat about you! I mean, first off, how the hell did you get your eye like that! And secondly, what the hell is a dragon doing in this academy! I thought it was just for gifted ones!" Aponi did not know about the many other species that resided within the walls of the academy, as she had only really met Aaran, and Ithica, who wasn't even a student.
She leaped swiftly from his lap, like a cat with it's hackles raised. She felt an uncontrollable rage bubbling up, all directed toward Jay. The dust in the room started shifting. it was swirling about, and Aponi's eyes glowed a light yellow colour.
"You enjoyed the "action" I gave you, but you won't tell me who you are? I'm not[/n]i a whore!" She yelled, tears welling in her eyes. She was sick and tired of being treated that way. She didn't understand her sudden rage, but she felt a sinking feeling of rejection. Jay had just ignored her. For a moment she had been in denial. Was he really so stupid that he couldn't tell that she liked him? The one time she found a guy that didn't just want to use her, and he was just totally oblivious to how she felt about him, beneath the surface! If she really was "gor-gorgeous", then he'd try and find any excuse to be with her, even if it meant him searching for and exploiting any mutual feeling!
Maybe she was being a little harsh. Guys weren't generally known for their cleverness, particularly teenage boys. Just like girls were usually whiny annoying wrecks. But Aponi had a hard time seeing the world from anyone else's point of view. She was kind of sophistic that way.

Reaching levels of desperation.
She moved from behind him so he lifted his gaze upward to her, then as she settled down in front of him he opened his arms for her to snuggle into his chest. It made breathing a little more difficult but he didn't understand why it wasn't like she was heavy. His chest felt weird and tight, and it didn’t help his confusion about them. He didn’t wrap his arms around her almost afraid to touch her without explicit permission to do so.
The question was a bit random he had to admit and he was just about to tell her his full name when she continued to talk. No, wait, talking wasn’t exactly the right word for it she went on a ranting rampage. Each time he opened his mouth to explain or answer one of these many questions she came up with another one. Then she jumped off of him as if he was made of fire, and all he could do was stare in shock. Where had all this come from?
As the dust started flowing and her eyes started glowing he actually decided to do something logical for once. Lean back, knees tucked up, arms in his lap, and watch it happen. Even when the tears sprang into her eyes he merely sat there watching, waiting, his face still carefully blank. When she seemed to be done with her venting he stood went over to her and wrapped her in his arms. If she hit him then so be it, if she shoved him away then that was her prerogative, but he wanted her to know he was still here for her. He might be a jerk, have a loud mouth, and do stupid things but he still had a soft side to him.
“I’m sorry, Aponi. I never, and I mean never meant to make you feel like a whore.” His voice remained soft no matter what she did to him after he went to hold her. “I don’t think of you like that at all, and I never will.” The rage that always seemed beneath the surface had a thing or two it wanted to scream at her but he kept a lid on it. It wasn’t easy but he managed it just barely.
Taking a few steps away from her he turned to stare at the sky which was slowly turning grey with cloud cover. “And I never tell people about me…or I usually don’t. For one people don’t usually ask, and if they don’t ask I don’t tell. You never asked before, so I didn’t tell. My name is Jadyn Michael Amethyst, and I was born with my eye like this.”
Still staring at the sky he lifted a hand to his eye for a moment wishing for the billionth time in his life that it was normal. “Also many different species, races, and people go to this school not just the, oh so special, Gifted children.” Sighing he twisted a bit to stare at her feet feeling as though he was continuously beaten down by her. “So…anything else you want to know? Like why I’m at this school not why is a dragon here? Or my favorite color? Or maybe I should ask you questions now? Seeing as the only things I know about you is that you’re a singer, a demon, and you just recently found your father.”
Jay faced her now eyes defiant once more with a flash of anger he fisted his hands but crossed his arms not wanting to blow up again. They did not need more irrational ranting. "Aponi, what do you want from me? Because I'm pretty f'ing confused. Tell me and I'll do my best to do it. I don't want to see you cry..."

Aponi glared at him bleary eyed. Well, maybe if he'd said sooner, she wouldn't have had to shout. Hmph. It would have been polite of him, since she always used her full name when she reffered to herself to him. Or the times she had tried to re-introduce herself to him to try and start fresh. She had, by now, realized that no matter how many times she introduced herself, it would never change anything.
She smiled when he said he never thought of her that way. For whatever reason it was, that made Aponi bubble inside, and it made her immidiately stop being angry.
Then he hugged her, and she simply melted into his arms, her seventeen year old form trembling visibly, and she started really crying. She hated being like this. What was wrong with her!? But she couldn't help feeling weak, and she had spent a long, long time being un-loved. Which made her vulnerable, now that this confrontation had come around.
"Jay..." She sobbed, "I'm so sorry. Y-you sh-shouldn't h-h-have to se me like this." She clung to him tightly, using him like an anchor to stop her drifting back into the pitiful state she'd been occupying for the past week. She sniffed, and pulled away slightly, not loosening her hold on Jadyn.
"Jadyn's a pretty name." She said, with a weak smile. "And Amethyst is very cool. I don't lke michael, because the last Michael I knew was psychopathic." She said, glumly. "And... You can ask me anything. I'm not a very interesting person." She said, her modesty very true. "So why are you here?" She asked sniffing again, adjusting her grip, her hands creeping down to the small of his back. "Don't dragons tend to keep to themselves?" she was curious to know more about the other races. Her clowns of a father hadn't really told her much about the other races.
Jay withdrew, and crossed his arms, and Aponi immidiately frowned, a melancholy face as opposed to an angry one. He didn't want to see her cry? That was so sweet! She almost instantly melted, and her face turned a bright red.
"I...I don't know, exactly." She sighed. She full well knew everything she really wanted from Jadyn. "I... I guess I want a stable relationship with someone that isn't Aaran, or his boyfriend." She said, her eyes looking downwards. She flung herself onto his bed and lay there, staring at the ceiling, her shape changing so she now looked a little older, more developed.
"Jay, I don't want anything from you. I just want you." She sighed, shutting her eyes.

Want me how?
Arms around her he most assuredly had not expected her to sob into him like this or hold him so tightly. No one had ever turned to him like this, leaned on him like this, made him feel wanted and useful for a change. He tilted his head toward her holding her tightly not knowing what to do to make her stop crying. Then she started blubbering about being sorry which made him smile a little and he spoke softly in response. “If I’m the one who caused you to feel this way then I can handle seeing you like this. I just want to…make it better.”
Where was all of this coming from? Since when was he a softie? Well, actually he’d always had a soft side but it just wasn’t allowed to be shown. But he couldn’t help it with her standing there shaking, sobbing, and acting so helpless in his arms. She made him act funny even when she went on talking basically non-stop about the oddest things kind of like his name. Why was knowing his full name so important? “Not interesting? You’re the most interesting person I know. Well, there is that other demon but he’s just…odd.” He scrunched up his face and frowned a bit then shook his head gazing warmly at her. This was just far too weird he felt downright fuzzy inside.
“And the reason why I am here is a much longer story.” He shrugged a bit rubbing her upper arms not sure that he was quite comfortable telling her his life story. “I’m not exactly here by choice.” Taking a step back he crossed his arms completely sure now that he didn’t want to go down that road at all. Let’s see if he could get somewhere in this confusion. Her hesitant answer was not reassuring but the words did make his arms drop to his sides. What was she getting at? His eyes followed her to his bed watching as her body changed and for once his cheeks didn’t turn red. If she wanted to look older then that was alright with him she was attractive either way. Though admitting that to himself was frustrating and difficult because he’d never admitted that to himself about anyone.
The next words out of her mouth had his jaw dropping and his eyes bugging out in shock. So much for trying to act all cool and collected because his face flushed red in an instant. Instead of stuttering around looking for the right words to say he licked his lips a few times finding his mouth to be as dry as a rock sitting in the sun for three days. Very slowly he made his way over to the bed to stare at her then his eyes narrowed as a thought popped in his head. “Want me how? Cuz the last time I hinted at certain things you slapped me. And if you just want me to be your friend and be there for you I can do that. But if you want more then I kinda would like to know.” There was not going to be any confusion or miscommunication, not anymore.

Everything Jadyn was saying just made Aponi feel bubbly. Jay really wanted to make it better, he had acheived that, just by saying it.
"An... odd demon?" That sounded just like someone would describe Ithica. "He didn't happen to have large eyes and brown hair and a doll called Rosie did he? If so, then I know someone who's very jealous of you." Aponi snickered, her tongue poking between her teeth in a mischeivous grin.
She glanced at him, before extending her arm out beyond it's normal length, and pulling him closer and closer until he was right next to the bed. She kept it slack enough so he could stop her at any second.
"Jay," she said, sitting up, "I want you..." What was she supposed to say. He was supposed to guess, but he hadn't exactly proven himself to be a good guesser, and he hated her stupid female mind games. She sighed, and supposed she would just have to spell it out.
"I want you. Not some kid that wants to get some because a slutty woman kissed him, I want the recluse, who likes his privacy, and won't open up. Who likes his pet squirrel, and listening to music and blocking the world out. The "weak" dragon boy, that so obviously holds so much on his shoulders that he is so very strong." She blushed, feeling like a fool. "That's what I want." She finished, laying back down, unsucessfully attempting to avoid that feeling that a bomb's dropped in your stomach when you tell someone how much you really care.
"Jay, tell me why you're here. I want to know. It isn't like I'm going anywhere." She said, in an almost absent, dreamy voice, her eyes glazing over. It was true that she didn't intend on leaving anytime soon. But it was also true that she needed to find Aaran, or Ithica or someone, anyone. But the feeling that she needed Jay more than any of them hammered against her chest, which mildly annoyed her, and sent all the dust skittering across the floor. She couldn't even keep her feelings for one stupid highschool kid untapped, she was absolutely hopeless.

When I stare into your eyes I forget to breathe. How in the world did she know Ithica? Wait hadn’t Ithica mentioned her too? Was it just a demon thing to know other demons? Well, he didn’t know other dragons. Maybe demons were more social creatures. Or maybe his father just wanted to hide him from the world of dragons and that’s why he didn’t know any other of his kind other than those from his community. “Jealous? Who? Why? Because that evil doll is the only thing I can beat up?” He’d never heard of anyone being jealous of him. “Oh, I know! It’s because I can pull off an eye patch!”
He willingly went forward as she pulled him a small goofy smile creeping onto his face still finding it a bid odd that she could do that. It was like she was from the Fantastic Four. The smile faded as she started to talk not because he was mad or upset but simply because it felt so serious. His chest was so constricted he could barely breathe and he dared not move in case he broke the moment. Each and every word felt like someone was tying his insides in knots and placing bricks on his lungs. His gaze barely followed her as she laid down as he stupidly stood there in complete shock. Not just oh wow shock but total and incomprehensible shock. Not even his brother had ever given him such a speech. A part of him was sure that his beloved brother even wanted him gone. But this crazy, aggravating, frustrating, infuriating, beautiful, stunning, fantastic woman wanted him.
Then a voice in his head told him he was forgetting something very important. Breathing. He gasped inhaling air sharply his eyes shutting for a moment as he felt the word stupid stamped on his forehead metaphorically. After he’d relearned how to breathe he gawked at her laying there on his bed then her telling him how she actually wanted to know about him. But before he even touched that with a ten foot pole he wanted the first elephant out of the room. Stepping over to where her head lay he leaned over a bit to gaze down at her.
“You know for a crazy demon lady you’re pretty amazing.” He smiled warmly and leaned over to kiss her forehead. “I don’t know what it is about you but you press every button that I could possibly possess. And now that your feelings are out there…I hope we can…get closer. Um…get to know each other more. Not in that way! But…well..if you want to in that way. But I want to know more about you.” Groaning he leaned back eyes going up to stare at his ceiling. You utterly fail at this bud. “I want to know your favorite color, your happiest memory, I want to hear you sing, and find out what makes you smile.”
There that was utterly cheesy. “I don’t know what that makes us, but I know hearing those words from you.” He shifted his bare feet and lowered his gaze to the floor. “Hearing you say that about me was probably the best thing anyone has ever told me.” Finally he smiled his eyes meeting hers. “I sound lame…huh.”
Standing there awkwardly he didn’t know what to do next. He couldn’t lay next to her she’d probably slap him. He didn’t want to go sit at the window so far away from her, but he felt foolish just standing there. So he moved to lean against the bed his back facing her legs so he could still turn and look at her. “And I’m here because it’s safe here.” Did she look okay? Jay frowned a bit lifting a hand to touch her arm. “Hey, you sure you’re okay?”
