"Amazingly powerful, hm?" He repeated, the smile already on his face growing. "Sounds nice of her. To point you here and all. I'll have to thank her." Ithica was only half serious. Like he'd actually go looking for some powerful chick that randomly roamed the streets and pointed people here. Ithica didn't want to admit it, but someone like that could wipe the streets with him, and he did have a certain quality about him that made people want to do just that.
He pulled out another jelly bean, and tossed a green one to Ryan. "Do you want to go do something?" Ithica offered. "Go eat, or.. uhm..." he paused, trying to think of something else. Unfortunately, all the young demon could think of was food. "Something." He finished lamely, with a shrug of his shoulders.

Ryan nodded as Ithica confirmed it outloud. Yes, that was one of the words that could be used to describe her; amazingly powerful. Amazingly powerful. Strong. Forceful. Dangerous... yet all in the midst of that, he knew that somewhere deep down inside of her she did care for him, even a little bit...but he doubt that she would ever willingly admit it to herself.
Catching the jelly bean in his hand, Ryan popped it into his mouth and thought about Ithica's offer. "Well...truth be told, I am a bit hungry...all I've had the past few days were an apple, and the four green jelly beans you gave me..."

At this new tidbit of information, Ithica choked on the jellybean. How could he even survive that long with that amount of food? The longest Ithica's been without food was four hours. The demon technically didn't need to eat, but.. it made him feel better. After he stopped choking, he stared at Ryan. "What do you want to eat?"
Food excited Ithica. He bounced up to his feet, jumping up and down at the prospect of food. "Cause you know I like all of the food! Cotton candy churros lasagna and jolly ranchers and green beans and funnel cakes and cupcakes ooh, pretty much everything with cakes, and cups! Cups!" Ithica was practically purring. Then he stopped, sticking his tongue out and scrunching up his face. "Except I don't like fish. I keep thinking of the little fishies from The Little Mermaid." He sighed, putting a hand dramatically over his heart.
Rosie had come over, and was staring from Ithica to Ryan. She shook her head, offering an apologetic smile to Ryan. "He gets a little obnoxious over food." She explained, watching the demon jump and dance around. "You can trip him if he gets too annoying."

Ryan smiled. "I donno...I love sweet things, I didn't get much of them growing up. However anything that is hot would also be a warm change.." he thought for a second, then sighed. "I can't go out to eat...I want to but I just can't..." "I can't go. I don't have any money."[/i] he said sadly, getting up. He thought himself stupid, that he had never saved up any money over the years or even got a job, he just wasn't able to. If he got a job he would be working around people, who would be able to report his mother's abuse...she couldn't allow that to happen.
Rosie's little talk made his thoughts poof. He smiled at how crazy Ithica was getting. "Nah...it's okay. Food is a beautiful thing"

Ithica stopped jumping, staring at his friend. "I'd pay for you, Ryan." He said softly, hands in his pockets. "Listen, I know you probably don't want me to but I'm going to pay for you for two reasons." He walked closer, putting his arm over Ryan's shoulders and smiled widely at him.
He held up one finger. "Numero uno is that you're one of my best friends. Kay?" Ithica nodded, and then held up two fingers. "The second reason is that nobody should go that long without having a decent meal. It's not healthy, and I don't want you to keel over from malnourishment. Even if you weren't my friend I would pay for you for that reason. Okay?"
Ithica grabbed Ryan's hands. "So. Warm and sweet? Like pastries? Ooh, or maybe a buffet with a dessert bar.." Ithica hummed blithely, and tugged Ryan a little bit. "Come oon."

Ryan nodded. Truthfully he didn't like being payed for; something he was just acustomed to by growing up. His mother always complained about people thinking that they weren't "upper class" even with all of her abuse and neglect she always made sure he looked decent, he had to go to school in only the best clothes. He shook his head to wipe the memories of his mother out of his head, she couldn't harm him now.
"Fine..." he said with a smirk. "I would love to try a buffet...I've heard of them, so many different kinds of food right?" he began to walk with his new friend, to their food destination.

The half-demon nodded his head happily. "Yes. Buffets are amazing." He confirmed, practically skipping out of the Academy. He paused, and stepped carefully over a crack in the ground. Ithica hated cracks. Couldn't stand them. So they'd have to go to a restaurant that didn't have tiled floors of course. "Most buffets have a general theme though.."
Ithica let go of Ryan and stuck his hands in his pockets, watching the ground intently for cracks. "You aren't a vegetarian or anything, right? Or allergic to anything?" He inquired, jumping over a large crack. "Or do you have a favorite type of food?" If the boy responded in the negative, Ithica was going just go to a Chinese buffet. Because sweet and sour chicken made his knees go weak. Also, fortune cookies with ice cream was the closest thing to heaven Ithi was ever going to get.

Ryan smiled yet again. Today was a rare, if not a single occurance day for him; smiling was usually not his strong suit. Ryan thought carefully as Ithica asked him questions and shrugged. "I'm not a vegitarian, I love chicken" he said smirking. "As for allergies I have none, and I have really no favorite type of food...yet"

No favorite type of food? Ithica tutted, imagining the poor life this boy had led. No favorite type of food, no buffet, he probably hadn't even had a milkshake within the past month! He turned round and ruffled Ryan's hair, giving him a tight hug. "You poor, poor thing..." He murmured, patting his head. He let go and continued to skip over cracks. His maternal instincts were sometimes stronger than the paternal instincts.
He opened the door to a Chinese buffet, and a girl that looked more Ukrainian than Chinese handed Ithica a verifying number and pointed them in the vague direction of a table. Ithica, making sure to step inside of the squared tiles, put the number on the table and skipped towards the food. "Yo ammoo la commiddaa~" he sang, pouring egg drop soup into a bowl.

Ryan smirked as Ithica ruffled his hair. Such a light gesture, yet one that was new, and unexpected. He followed his friend to a strange place; it was a building with many many cars outside of it.
Once they walked through the door, it was a grand place that many different smells were home to. Ryan couldn't believe his eyes or his nose, all the different kinds of foods that were around made him beyond happy. Following Ithica, he casually glanced at all the food. "So who serves us?"

Ithica handed him a plate. "You do. Just get all the food you want." He grinned. "Pretty great, no? Except when some people are loitering in front of the sweet and sour chicken!" Ithica sent a withering stare to the old lady across the buffet table. She huffed indignantly and moved on. The easygoing demeanor slipped over him again.
Yeah, the demon was pretty harmless unless you got between him and food. He had been known to claw at throats if food was withheld from him. But Ryan didn't need to know that. He was tempted to hugsqueeze him, and keep him, and feed him all the cotton candy in the world. Ithica shook the maternal thoughts out of his head, and grinned. "Ice cream and chicken and sushi without fish and soup.." He sang, skipping with his chicken, sushi, and soup over to the ice cream section.

Ryan smiled, never before was he allowed all the food he wanted without restraint. The thought of being able to eat to his heart's content made him happier than he had been in a long while. Taking care to look at everything before he made his choice; he started piling food on the plate. Mounts of coconut shrimp, peanut butter chicken, sweet and sour chicken, and beef with broccoli found their way onto his plate. He also took care to take an egg roll, a few pieces of sushi, and a weird beef-on-a-stick thing.
He found his way back to Ithica, blushing slightly at the over indulgence of food on his plate.

Ithica observed Ryan's food with a lick of his ice cream. He reached over and stole a piece of coconut shrimp, smiling apologetically. He held out his ice cream. "You can have a lick." He offered. "It's vanilla, and I have gummy bears in there! Who can resist vanilla and gummy bears?"
He took a bite out of his sushi, grimaced, and swallowed. He whimpered, eyes watering. "It had fish in it, Ryan." Ithica pouted, staring in dismay down at the rest of the beloved sushi. Ew.

Ryan smiled as he got comfortable in his chair. He smiled as Ithica took a piece of food off of his plate "It's alright, you're paying after all. I wouldn't get upset from one stolen piece of food!" he said laughing. He looked at the ice cream thast Ithica was holding out to him. "I would, but I cannot eat dessert without finishing my meal first!" he said matter-of-factly, as he began to ravage his plate.
The different taste of foods were so overwhelming, he had never had such good food before. He watched as Ithica bit some sushi and obviously didn't like it. "You don't like fish?" he said, muffled through food in his mouth. He swallowed the chicken in his mouth before responding; "What's wrong with it?"

He shrugged. "I like to eat meals and ice cream at the same time." He grinned, lapping up his ice cream and then taking a spoonful of the egg drop soup. He stuck out his tongue. "Vanilla and eggs. Blah." He ate another piece of sweet and sour chicken to get the flavor out of his mouth.
Ithica sighed, remembering his pet fish fondly. "Well, whenever I eat fish I think of all those Disney movies and cartoons that had talking fish in them. The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo..." He trailed off, poking the sushi off his plate. "Oh, and I used to have three goldfish. One committed suicide by jumping out of it's bowl, and the other two were eaten by my cat."
