Jesse had been on the phone with her partner for roughly thirty minutes now. She had to keep putting her car in park everytime she was prepared to leave but he started yapping at her again. She was so fed up she finally yelled some very foul things at him in Spanish before violently hanging her phone up; it nearly broke the small device. She leaned back and took in a few deep, angry breaths trying to calm herself down.
Jesse had been damn near worked to the bone. So many things to research at base as well as teaching all the inters, plus the Academy had hired her supernatural detective skills to help capture and bring in criminals of the world from which they dwelled and humans didn't. Because she had been so busy, she hadn't really any time at all to take in her share of life force and had been seriously deprived. One would see that instead of tanned, glowing and with thick silky hair she was now paling, her hair was falling flat, her eyes were blood shot, and she looked like she would kill.
The Lycan in her back seat began to complain. He was a criminal who sold Dragonsbane on the blackmarket and she caught him recently. Not wanting to tolerate anything she clenched her fist, and a chunk of metal came off the grait that separated the front and back and clamped over his mouth, shutting him up. Then she turned around with venom in her eyes and voice. "Keep yapping, pup, and you'll have a new silver piercing in your tongue." After that she floored it to the Academy.
Upon arrival she was greeted with Academy staff and others who took the criminal away. She was escorted inside to recieve her pay for her job. As she waited she found her self feeling extremely ill, well, more so than before anyways. She headed towards where she thought the general direction of a bathroom was but was stuck wandering. She needed life force and fast.
Jesse bolted out the Academy doors and onto the grounds, searching for an excluded spot. She came to a dense garden and collapsed near a stone bench. Her conciousness was fading, and the Legion started to turn black at her fingertips, her eyes becoming more blood shot. Taking in deep rasps she tried to absorb what was closest, but with how weak she was it was hard to absorb with out touching, even just a plant.
The plants nearest her seemed to tint brown slightly, but she wasn't really getting anything at all, not enough to sustain her in this situation anyways. Jesse let out a short cry that sounded similar to a wailing cat as she felt pain stab in her abdomen. Jessira rolled on her side and closed her eyes shut trying her hardest not to lose conciousness, if she did she'd be gone before nightfall.

Intensely concentrating on trying to use his Gift to make a flower blossom, Jamie hadn't noticed he'd gained a companion in Garden-land. He was lying on his stomach, humming some nameless tune so quietly that he may as well have been thinking it. Having heard somewhere that music could help plants grow, and after having difficulty with trying to make the same flower bloom for days on end, he had decided to serenade it, and was convinced that he needn't be loud. Because, as everyone knows, plants have excellent hearing.
Mid-bar, his humming changed from musical to a curious noise, as he had noticed the grass nearby was slowly becoming brown and dead. Were it moving outward from him instead of toward him, he may have worried that he was getting carried away with his Gift, but this was not the case, and he was instead left wondering what could possibly be going on.
"Don't you go anywhere," Jamie told the flower at a whisper. "I'll be back soon!"
Pushing himself up from his stomach, he took a moment to brush the grass and dirt from his clothing before searching for the source of the unfortunate decay. Perhaps someone with his Gift didn't realize what they were doing? He hoped whoever it was was not doing it on purpose.
His hunt did not last long; a sudden wailing noise that caused him to jump and emit a surprised squeak was enough for him to find the source of all the commotion with ease. What was going on, though, still escaped him. He didn't like that the Earth was dying near this person, but they seemed to be in pain, so he decided he should try to help her, if from a safe distance.
"Are you okay?" he asked, and then, because that seemed like a stupid question and not at all helpful, he added, "Do you need help?"

Jesse was sure she was done for. She wasn't exactly unconcious, but she wasn't really on any kind of good grounds either. The poor woman was ready to just give up, lay there, and await death or some other sad fate. Then again, sometimes fate had a strange way of working her questionable magic. It was at this time she heard a voice, nervous in tone and by the sounds of it, young.
Her tired eyes darted upward to see a young, greenish haired boy standing feet away from her. Jesse thought now she had a pretty good idea of what vampires felt like when they were beginning to suffer blood lust. It sucked greatly, and she felt almost like she was going mad, tearing apart at the seams. She tried to sit up, but she could practically smell him and it made her close her eyes tight and try to block it out. "No! Stay away! Please....."
Jesse hated being a demon, she didn't like to have to kill to absorb her life force. Even the wild animals she killed she felt the need to give a proper burrial. It was sickening enough and the thought of killing a human, none-the-less someone who didn't deserve it, unnerved her greatly.

Jamie, for all his naïveté, was a very bright young lad. He may initially have been a little puzzled, but now that his mind had the time to go into logical mode, it took him no time at all to put two and two together. He'd learned all about demons from his mother when he was younger, though the emphasis in his schooling had been on vampires, for obvious reasons.
"You're starving!" Jamie exclaimed, his voice thick with concern and borderline sorrow. His apprehension had gone down the drain as soon as he'd realized this person was suffering. His mind raced, trying to remember everything he had learned, trying to formulate a plan.
His Gift was out of the question; though it was normally how he would heal someone, it would only serve to speed up the process of death in a demon. The only option he saw was to let the demon lady feed off of him, but he would have to be very careful; a starved demon could end up nearly killing someone unintentionally — demons that far gone had little control over the pull of life force to their Legion.
"Don't touch me," Jamie said, but he didn't sound afraid that she would. In fact, he sounded reassuring, soothing. He drew closer to her. "I'm going to touch your arm, okay? I'll pull away before you can hurt me, don't worry."

Jesse's eyes trailed up once more as he declared she was starving. Of course she was, but she was a little stunned at how he knew. Then again, this was an Academy full of Supernatural children, so she shouldn't be so surprised. None-the-less, she was still a little stunned. But she was starving, and he was risking his life right now just by being so close to her, she couldn't control how much she would drain right now, even the plants around her were dying slowly as her Legion began to absorb on it's own.
When he spoke again her eyes went to the floor; trying to focus on something else other than him. This time she was surprised at how calm he was. This boy seemed extremely mature, then again, she didn't know what he was. He could be something that retained a young age, but he still seemed a little young for that. Even so, as he inched closer to her she held up her hand to stop him. Her body was trembling, and she was doing her best to remain calm (well considering her Legion felt like it was all on fire and the only sign of her current struggle was her trembling body, she was doing pretty good).
Jesse was shocked at how willing he was to let her feed off him, if he knew she was starving he should know how dangerous it was for him. But the desperate, incredibly hungry and near death side of her told her to shut up her logic and human emotion and let him do it already. She closed her eyes, forced herself to sit up, and focused on something that would completely calm her. So she began to picture her sister's face, Nettie. Her breathing became incredibly calmer and a tiny twitch at the edge of her lips wanted to smile. She was completely calm, not paying attention to any other presence. She lowered her hand, letting him know it was okay.

As soon as he had some indication that the lady was okay with him touching her, he closed the rest of the gap between them, leaned backward, and touched a single finger to the back of her hand.
In reality, he wasn't nearly as confident as he sounded. He knew before he even touched her that she would drain so much of his energy so quickly he wouldn't have much of a chance to get away before she completely exhausted him. Worst case scenario his knees would give out and he would fall on top of her, only to have the rest of his energy sapped. Maybe she would be able to control the pull of life force before she killed him. If he was lucky.
However, he wasn't relying completely on luck. As the flow of life out of him took place his eyes fluttered closed, and it wasn't long at all before his conciousness left him. His earlier decision to lean away from her perhaps saved his life at this point, as he fell backwards as soon as he passed out, landing safely out of Jesse's reach.
A (presumably) tense moment passed before it became obvious that he was not stirring or opening his eyes because he was soundly asleep, his chest rising and falling slowly and a peaceful look on his face.

As Jamie touched Jesse's are she felt an incredibly cooling sensation fill her burning Legion. She hated to absorb life force, and especially from a human being, but she wouldn't deny that it sure as hell felt good. Even so, she had to stay focused. Most demons in this situation started to think about how great it felt before loosing theirselves to it and giving in, killing the human that they were feeding from. Jessira quickly refocused on Nettie. Recalling the good times when they were younger, ignorant of their heritage and just playing on a play ground.
Jesse felt incredibly better, she wasn't feeling sick anymore and her skin, hair and eyes returned to their healthy state that they should have been in. However, she was pulled away from her pleasant memories when she heard a soft 'thumo'. Jesse turned and her eyes darted open as she saw Jamie laying on the floo motionless. She thought she may have killed him, loosing herself those few seconds and taking too much in just an instant.
She quickly approached him and sighed in relief as she saw he was peaceful and breathing. She laughed nervously to herself before rubbing her hand over her forehead and then directing her attention back to he teal haired boy. "Wake up." She ordered him though, not surprisingly, she didn't get a response. Okay, the proper thing to do would be to shock them back into waking up, though she couldn't over do it otherwise he may be too startled and have some kind of attack. It wasn't healthy with how low his energy was.
The metal that she carried in her bag that usually acted as her bodily coating floated out of her and stopped infront of her. Directed it down and touched it to his face. Maybe it was cold enough to wake him up. "Wake up." She said it more gently this time.

At the touch of the cool metal to his face, Jamie started and mumbled something that sounded like, "mluh mluh humm," but he did not wake. Instead, he merely shivered and rolled onto his side, curling into a ball. He seemed perfectly content to sleep right there on the lawn, but in reality it wasn't contentment that was keeping him asleep. He would need at least a good night's sleep to begin his recovery he would likely wake up starving the next morning.
Whether he spent that night sleeping outside or somewhere more comfortable was entirely up to the woman whose life he had just saved.
(Sorry it's so short, but I couldn't make it much longer xD Also, I'm going to PM you about this in a sec.)

Jesse sighed, rubbing her brow. Of course, she must have sapped just enough. Or he had an incredibly low tolerance to it. Yeah, usually the first time someone had the life drained out of them by a freaking demon they were going to pass out and not wake up by being slapped around. Jessira glanced around, looking for someone that could take this student back to the Academy dorms. Maybe she could find someone, but that would probably require leaving him alone to try and loog. Where were nosy telepaths when you needed them? "Um, pretty close, actually." She looked up as a male student chuckled. "I admit, I was eavesdropping."
Jesse couldn't come up with an explaination, but she'd have to try. She was about to speak when he held up his hand to stop her. "No need to explain, I know what happened." Jesse lowered her brow, warning him to stay out of her thoughts unless he wanted her to eat up some of his life force, too. He probably knew she was lying, but, none-the-less, backed off. "Can you take him to a nurse?" "No problem" The student stepped forward and carefully picked up Jamie. Jesse followed him to the building and in to the nurse's office.
As Jamie was left laying on a small cot Jesse pulled out a small pad of paper and a pencil and scribbled down a quick message. Ripping it out of the notebook she tucked the small paper into the pocket of his jacket. After making sure the nurses knew he was there, that he was going to be taken care of and that she was paid Jesse left and headed back to her car. Once in she checked her phone and sighed to see seven missed calls from her partner, Mark.
Your actions in the garden clearly show that you have a high amount of courage. But I don't suggest doing it again. Even so I believe I am in your debt; you can call me on this number. 951-320-0783
my name is Jessira, by the way

Jamie had woken up late the next morning feeling well-rested but immensely hungry, and it wasn't until he had checked in with the nurses, explained what had happened, went back to his room, ate a good meal, and changed his clothes that he finally found the note from the lady. He had half forgotten what had happened; while the fact that he had been sapped of nearly all of his energy (if willingly) was at the forefront of his mind, the fact that he had saved a life in the process had somehow slipped his mind until he read the message.
He stared at the note for a good few minutes after he'd finished reading it, thinking about just about everything. He didn't really know who the lady was, even though he knew she was a demon, knew her name now, and knew her phone number. But despite not knowing much about her, he felt like he should help her, because one other thing about her was important; she wouldn't have been so starving if she had a pact.
It took him about half of the day to finally get the courage to call the number.
Ring ring ring.
He wondered if he would get the answering machine. That would certainly be easier on his nerves.

Jessira was on her way to work this time in the afternoon. Well, not really, she was more like heading back to the building that she worked in. There were bones being transferred there that she needed to identify as soon as she could. Jesse had been thrown back into such a busy day she had nearly fogotten the favor that the young boy had done for her the night before. However she was in kind of a good mood because her partner, Mark, had gotten a puppy over the few days they weren't working together and she had to admit, seeing him so giddy over a small mammal was making her smile.
Mark was in the middle of a story when her phone buzzed in her pocket. She pulled it out to see a number she did not recognize. Then again she got called on numbers she didn't recognize a lot. "Quiet, Mark; phone call." Mark shut his mouth, but his face became pouty, indicating he was upset he wasn't able to continue on with his story about how the puppy rolled over across his entire living room. Jesse flipped her phone open as they came to a stop light and held it up to her ear. "Agent Vizzcarra." Came her answer.

Jamie's mouth made a nervous sort of 'o' at hearing the business-like tone of 'Agent Vizzcarra'. He almost didn't recognize the voice as being his Jesse; when he had last heard her, business had been the furthest thing from her mind. The change was almost enough to remove any courage he had left to complete the call.
"Hi Miss Vizzcarra," Jamie peeped, struggling a little with the pronunciation. "It's Jamie. Um. The boy... from last night?"
He sat down on his bed; his knees wouldn't take much more weakening before they gave out. Somehow, he had managed to block out the logical portion of his mind and come close to convincing himself that she may have forgotten who he was.

Jesse awaited a response from the other end of the phone as it remained in silence for the first few seconds. She was going to get very angry if this was another one of Mark's trigger happy buddies crank calling her again. Just as she was about to speak, however, a young voice came across the line. At first she was a tad bit confused, but then the memories of the night before suddenly slammed into her as she recalled the light haired boy. So his name was Jamie, was it? No very masculin, but, then again, Jesse wasn't a very feminine name either. "Oh! Well how are you? I assume you've recovered?" Jesse slowly pulled the car over to the side of the road. Despite her high level of inteligance and ability to multi-task quite well, she still wasn't comfortable with talking on the phone and driving.
Mark tried to pester his Spanish accented partner in to hurrying up her conversation so he could get back to his puppy story, which resulted in him getting swatted on the head.

When Jesse very much remember who he was, Jamie's mood shifted completely; he was suddenly a bouncy bundle of joy and sunshine, very much like he usually was. He hopped off of his bed and back onto his feet, and began pacing around the room excitedly.
"Yes! I'm all better, thank you. How are you doing? I'm sorry I fell asleep before I could make sure you were okay. I'm glad you left that note or I would have worried. Are you busy? You're an Agent?" The questions were fired off in rapid succession like an automatic weapon, though in this case one that was shooting rainbows and lollipops into the waiting maws of flower-wearing unicorns.

Jesse's brows raised slightly at the sudden bombardment of questions from the excited boy. She opened her mouth to speak a few times but was quickly stopped by another question. She put her car in park, seeing as this may take a few minutes. Finally seeing a time to speak she finally spoke, though forgot Enlglish for a moment and went to Spanish. "Woah, woah, woah, disminuya la velocidad!" She slapped Mark's hand away from his attempt to grap her phone. "Who are you talking to?" "Mark, stop it! I'm talking to my nephew." She was an excelent liar and could make up one on the spot. However, to get away from her poking, prodding partner she stepped outside of her car to speak. "Sorry about that. Anyways, I am fine, and glad to hear you are as well. I'm a little busy because I'm at work; I'm a forensic anthropologist for the FBI." Maybe that at least answered his wave of questions, though she suspected more were on the way.
