I've been looking at old threads and thinking about Delia/Zack and how they first met - unfortunately there is no record of their first meeting 
But it was either Dec 31, 2007 or Jan 1, 2008 that they met 
I initially thought that they met during the Fae Queen catastrophe (they did) and that she had saved him using Water, and that he got hurt playing hero. However, from what I've gathered from brief mentions in threads, I think he caught her as she was falling/was thrown. He probably hit on her and they either organized to meet in Kallebrook or it was a coincidence when they did run into each other in town.
I remember them sitting on a bench and talking and getting to know each other.
It was probably on another separate occasion that they had dinner together, their first date, which, from my memory, was incredibly awkward because they were both so nervous. I think they kissed on their first date too. I remember I used a Bloc Party lyric/song title as their thread title.
For their second date, Delia had told him to dress in loose clothing. She took him salsa dancing on Valentine's Day. They might have kissed then, actually, I'm not sure! Because the next thread was directly after Valentine's Day and he says this:
"Chivalrous?" he asked, shooting her an amused look; personally, he didn't think chivalry had anything to do with it, "I'm not chivalrous, Delia," maybe just a little bit though; "it's because I like you."
He couldn't tell her enough, not really, because at this current point in time, it was the only thing he could do to convince her that he was being sincere.
"I don't kiss just any girl, you know," he pointed out, and then subsequently thought that what Delia didn't know couldn't hurt her, "and I don't learn to Salsa, or talk about deep stuff freely, for just anyone. So yeah, you could say I like you, maybe a little bit more than a lot."
And I just remembered that Delia ran away from him after they first kissed! He was also her first kiss ♥
Then, of course, they continued to date and then became serious
I've been progressively putting my characters in a non-fantasy setting - it's not drastic changes because most of them, and their friends, met under normal circumstances.
Zack and Delia though, didn't meet in any way normal - there were monsters and magic everywhere.
I have been keeping track of his life though, even though I haven't really written anything in years. Some things are a given - he's married to Delia (three years on October 20, 5 years all together they've been together), they have a son named Anson (I think he's turning 2 this year, in August), and he works in law enforcement.
They've been on my mind a lot lately, and I've been thinking about writing certain points of their lives, that I knew would always happen, or just jotting down little scenes - like when he talks to Eiji last Thanksgiving about Anson (Delia feeds him Egyptian food and Zack hates changing his diapers after). I need to have a solid background though - on how they met.
I decided Zack works for the CIA (he's totally a government agency type), and meets Delia while he's on assignment. The important question is - would she be an American citizen? (CIA operatives can't date foreigners).
I wanted them to live on the west coast but I guess now they live in Virginia. He works in the office, though. What would Delia do?
I've done the math (hard) and Zack is 27 this year, on July 27 - he was 22 when he met Delia, turning 23.
How old is she/when is her birthday? Do you still remember? I'm pretty sure she's a year older than him.

Delias birthday is Sept 24, 1984 so that would make her 28 right now. I'm pretty sure that I made it so Dee was born in Los Angeles, Cali, but she has dual Citizenship (USA and Egypt). I also think I had Dee owning and operating her own yoga studio, on top of being a part time stay at home mom/housewife.
She likes that sort of thing now that Zack is in her life.
